Everything was great. Clean apartment in a great location 5 min walk from Turtle Bay.
Relax in paradise
This perfectly located, comfortable and clean property was perfect for our relaxation get away. Thank you to our concierge/hostess Beverly for a great dining recommendation. Lei Lei’s was wonderful!
Turtle Bay Stay
Place was as described and worked out great for my wife and I. Great location right on the golf course, very quiet and the pool was always empty. Lei Lei's is a short walk and a nice place to eat and have a drink. Thanks Mark
Great support from manager!
Property manager was great. She communicated the new updates that were coming to the property. (Unfortunately, it is after our stay.). AC in the bedroom and really appreciated the extra high powered fans for the living room. Washer and dryer were very much appreciated!
Perfect location for exploring the north shore.
Excellent Retreat For Two
First, the positives. This is a condo on the edge of a beautiful golf course, on impeccably maintained hotel-associated grounds. It's far from the madding crowds of Waikiki, but only an hour's drive from the heart of Honolulu. It's on the North Shore, close to Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Haleiwa town and other justifiably iconic sites. The condo itself is well-equipped for cooking, washing clothes, or just hanging out. It isn't luxurious, but it's way more than adequate. A 30-second walk will lead you to a small swimming pool, if you don't feel like getting salty. The bed is very comfortable. There is only one AC unit, which resides in the bedroom, and this can be a problem on the occasional hot-and-humid day because it doesn't cool the whole place. Ceiling and floor fans help, though. On the whole, though, it's a quite satisfactory dwelling for two people.
The bad news is, it's advertised as sleeping 4. The fold-down futon in the living room in theory accommodates two more people, in addition to the bedroom.
This piece of furniture is rather uncomfortable as a sofa. As a bed, though, it's a nightmare. There is a deep groove down the middle, and springs protrude just under the fabric. There are random lumps and bumps. It produces a constant feeling of being about to fall off. Strategies for adjusting pillows and positioning are futile. No one who is not dead or very heavily sedated could sleep on that monster.
Fortunately, I live on Oahu, so I was able to make the hour-long drive home, pick up a foam futon for the floor, and bring it back to the condo. That cost me two hours of vacation time, but made it possible for me to stay in the condo. I am not exaggerating or overstating the case. As is, the condo sleeps 2.
Polynesian Cultural Center est situé à seulement quelques miles de là, tout comme BYU d'Hawaï. Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, et d'autres célèbres spots de surf sont à proximité ainsi.
