Clean, comfortable, and well equipped

This property was great. It was very clean, very comfortable, a great location, and very well equipped. The host was also exceptional. Great with communication, lots of great tips for the area, and even offered to mail an earring back to us that we had lost under the couch. Would definitely stay here again.

Aptly named!

This certainly is a charming home. All the basics were there...plus so many thoughtful extras! The beds and bedding were so comfortable; the kitchen was equipped for everything to prepare meals and snacks. The coffee bar was a nice touch! If we weren't out and about visiting relatives, we were shopping and enjoying the gorgeous scenery. Evenings were for cocktails and playing games outside on the deck. We loved our stay!

Great home - close to NRGNP

Well stocked home, comfortable, and convenient to New River Gorge National Park. We had a nice 4 night stay here, and visited the park and Hawk's Nest State Park. Close to great food in Fayetteville. Would stay here again if we visit the area in the future. Thank you for facilitating a great stay.

Charming and cozy!

Loved our stay here! The host went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. The house was very well stocked (our kids loved the snacks), and the location was great for going to New River Gorge NP. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place to stay!

This was an awesome experience! The neighborhood is nice, the house is in a good location where it’s easy to find and close to all of the attractions. The host had everything well laid out. The check in/out instructions were typed out and posted on the fridge along with the house rules and a list of where to find everything you might need. I would definitely stay here again.

Incredibly Accommodating

The house was beautiful, clean and cozy. Everything you would need and more. A great location for Ace Adventure and a nice neighborhood for walks. Very close to a Rail Trail. The owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. Truly like staying with family! Would definitely recommend!

Charming on Chestnut

The property lived up to it's name, "Charming". The house was perfect for my family's long weekend of rafting, hiking and music festival. It had everything we needed and more. Clean, comfy, and cozy!

Great house!

This house was perfect for our family visiting ACE adventure resort (about 7 minutes away). It was lovely, clean, and comfortable. I especially appreciated all the extra amenities available- from shampoo to extra toothbrushes to the k-cups and creamers! If we return to ACE we will definitely stay here again! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Excellent experience

The house was extremely clean and accurate to the photos. It was one of the best stocked houses we've ever stayed in. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Hosts like her are the reason I prefer to stay in houses that are managed by the owners, rather than ones managed by management companies. They go the extra mile.

Charming, indeed!

We had a great stay in this wonderful little house. Everything was clean, comfy and well-stocked with anything we could possibly need. Not too far from the main road, but quiet and tucked away. Close to a grocery store, restaurants, breweries and all the outdoor activities. We stayed here to attend a big group event at Ace Adventure Resort, and it's so close and convenient. We could get from the house to the top of the mountain at Ace in about 10 min. Thanks so much for hosting us - we'll definitely pick this place again if we return to the area!

Wonderful house!

This was a wonderful house to stay in! I traveled as a single woman, along with my dog, so safety is always important to me. This house was very well secured, and also in a safe neighborhood. The house was very clean and very tidy, and there were many nice touches throughout the house. The rooms were all spacious. The house was accessible to the highway to go to the different tourist attractions. The owner was very easy to work with and very easy to communicate with! It’s always nice to rent a home that is welcoming of pets as well!

Quaint cottage

My husband & I just stayed @ Charming in Chestnut. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage. Cute kitchen & dining room. Small front porch that we Sat on each morning drinking coffee. For the most part a quiet neighborhood, a few barking dogs & at times the front street was busy ( & it's very narrow, so we parked in back). Only problem is steep stairs to get in the back door. I commented on this to owner who says they plan on putting on a deck. That would make it so much better. It is very close to Ace Adventures, who we rafted with. A great rafting trip. Cottage is close to rt 19, so easy to get to Fayetteville, New River Gorge National Park & other places. All in all it was a great time

One of the very best VRBO we have ever stayed

We stayed in Oak Hill for Bridge Day this year. While not in Fayetteville, it is located a few miles from the Kroger's where we took the shuttle to the bridge, This house is very nice for 2 couples, and also maybe a small family. Stephanie was very helpful throughout the entire stay. It is evident that it has been freshly redone inside and out. The cupboards were very well stocked with everything we needed. We planned to eat out for dinners on this trip. The only meal we cooked was Saturday breakfast. But we could have easily cooked all our meals there, The entire house was very clean from top to bottom. For the busiest weekend of the year for this community, it was impossible to get to the restaurants in Fayetteville. We drove around Oak Hill looking for some local fare but we decided to go to Beckley. And it was a short drive to get there. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this nice little house. Nice and clean, well equipped, good value for the dollar, and great communication from the host. The back steps are a little weird to negotiate, especially the top one which is very tall, but we managed just fine. One couple is in their sixties and one couple in their fifties and we were OK with the steps. We highly recommend Charming on Chestnut for any trips to the New River Gorge area.

Whitewater Rafting Weekend

This is a great property! It was a extremely clean and very comfortable. It was also only 10 minutes away from Ace Adventure. The house is very well stocked. It’s like being at home.. Stephanie was an absolute joy to work with. She was very accommodating and was very timely with our communications. We look forward to coming back again!
