The property itself is breathtaking. We have tons of amenities in the cottage. Everyone tells us they overpacked and they bought too much at the store. Amazing coffee, gourmet tea selection, vegan bath products and so much more are all included in your nightly rate.

Loads of new upgrades and designer touches including centralized heat and air conditioning , tile flooring, and a new game room in the historic barn make staying at this country cottage an even more wonderful experience.

On the property: explore the 20 acres filled with unspoiled nature. Watch wildlife from the front porch or back deck, pull a game from the historic 1820's chestnut barn built by the Mabry Family, the original settlers of the area.

Relax by reading a book from one of the four libraries, (one is just for kids and one is just for cooks!). Take a walk through the forest down to the creek, soak in the hot tub, have a family BBQ, reconnect over a board game, watch DVDs from the large collection, play a game of corn hole, volleyball, badminton, soccer, or cook a gourmet meal in the stocked kitchen with European fridge and dishwasher and 5 burner range with griddle and convection oven.

Mabry Creek Cottage is in the only part of Virginia with NO light pollution, so the stargazing is AMAZING!

This is a place to unplug and breathe.

We can host events up to 50 people in the barn and up to 100 in a tent on the lawn. Packages start at $1,995 in addition to a two night minimum stay.

The tap water comes from the natural spring on the property and it's delicious! Your hair will look great, too! We use no pesticides, fertilizers, or chemicals on any of the 20 acres. The house is 99% plastic-free. We use only natural cleaning products. Everything we purchased for the house is cruelty-free and vegan.

The house is filled with local handicrafts supporting local artisans and craftspeople. We care deeply about the environment and plan to make even more changes in the future.

If you are looking for a remote vacation in the country where you can get away from it all, Mabry Creek Cottage and Barn is for you.

Forget something? Not to worry. There is a convenience store with a gas station just 5 minutes away.

The Hillmont Mercantile and the Food Lion in Hillsville are both just 15-20 minutes away and the general stores in both Willis and Hillsville as well as Dollar General are all 15 minutes away, though you'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere and my, it is glorious.

You'll be hard-pressed to find cleaner air and water, and once you visit, you'll definitely want to come back.

For those who wish to work remotely, we provide free WiFi, a wireless printer, a desk and desk chair with a really beautiful view.

There is a 65" smart TV in the family room. We also provide over 400 DVDs and a DVD player.

There is a propane stove fireplace in the great room.

The primary bedroom has a mantel filled with remote-controlled candles for instant ambiance.

The game room in the barn and the corn hole area are both open for guests' use 24/7. The center event room is locked and only open to guests who book an event.

GIVING BACK
We have empty pantry shelves set up for donations to the local people in need. Our staff will donate boxed or canned food items to the Hillsville Blessings Box.
