Waterfront Retreat on New River/Claytor Lake

Waterfront retreat on the New River at the headwaters of Claytor Lake . Great for fishing, tubing, and boating. Directly across from Allisonia boat ramp and immediately adjacent to our other listing (Cozy Waterfront Cabin). Shared use of boat ramp located on the next lot. Large flat yard is perfect for outdoor activities beside the water. Nearby access to New River Trail.

Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. You must keep dog leashed during visit.
The space
We are located about 30 minutes from Radford and 45 minutes from Blacksburg. Immediately adjacent to our other listing.
Guest access
You will have access to house, dock, yard, and use of boat ramp located at adjacent property. There is a pontoon boat deck converted for use as a dock on the property for you to use. Lake/dock/ramp use are at guest's own risk. Personal flotation devices are highly recommended given water current.

Other things to note
Due to the location, there is limited cell phone service. We have NEW WiFi through Starlink (as of 6/15/2025).

To acquire the key, guests will be given a code to a lock box located at the top of the stairs, on the screened-in porch. The children's playset formerly in photos and mentioned in reviews floated away during 2019 floods. It will not be replaced.

We are pet friendly with prior approval. Please note that there is a pet fee of $35 per pet.

There is a fire pit but wood may or may not be available during visit.
