This house was a so close to the beach! Down a cute sandy path. The house itself was a lovely beach house. We especially enjoyed the balcony and the open living room/kitchen for family time.

Beautiful beach side stay

Had an amazing stay with friends, the place is lovely, so close to the beach, relaxing, and we took full advantage of the decks and grill. Seeing dolphins at sunrise on the beach was a magical experience

Fantastic stay--highly recommend

I highly recommend this property. It was immaculately clean, stocked with all essential amenities – – full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, linens. The layout was spacious and comfortable and made our family feel right at home. The host thoughtfully provided beach chairs and other beach gear so we didn't have to lug anything from home. We were in town for a baseball tournament at Sports at the Beach, which is about a 30 minute drive and easy to get to.

Amazing, of course the weather was perfect, not so hot and no sand flies. My granddaughter did get a jellyfish sting, so we weren’t in the water because of all the jellyfish. The kids enjoyed watching the ghost crabs, funny creatures The house worked great for my family. The kids also loved the sand and sand toys by the house

Wonderful stay by the beach

Our family and baby had a wonderful stay just steps from the beach. The property had beach gear, games, and kitchen tools -- all thoughtfully stocked. It was clean and comfortable. We definitely recommend!

Great vacation

Three generations with plenty of time to relax and catch up. The house was very comfortable and the kids enjoyed the ping pong as well as the games and jukebox. It was a short walk to the beach.

Broadkill Beach

This house was great for a quiet New Years at the beach. Very clean and comfortable. Great 3rd-floor family space. It felt "off the beaten path," which was great. Also still very close to bigger beach towns. Overall, a great stay. Would happily rent it again.

We loved our stay!

We had a wonderful stay and the house layout is perfect. The jukebox is super fun and the master bed was very comfie. The house was super clean too and kitchen suited our needs perfectly. The beach was so close and we loved the location. Broadkill is quiet and super chill, which we were looking for. It was only 20 mins from Lewes and 35 mins from Rehobeth, so we took some nice outings as there’s not much going on in Broadkill and the market store is terrible nmif you care about healthy food. So we ventured out to explore the surroundings and were always happy returning to the cozy abode:) Highly recommend this house!

Nice beach house

The kitchen was missing a few basic things like salt and pepper. Also we found a mice in the kitchen and many poops in the ward robe in the master room.. Other than that we had an excellent stay. The owner was fast to respond.

Thank you for your reply. We're glad you enjoyed your stay! We have a yearly contract with a professional pest company and they have now come back to the property for service. We have been told that an occasional mouse in the house is to be expected as we are surrounded by wildlife preserve. Although we provide a few small things to get guests started, for your safety, we do not provide provisions that can be tampered with, such as salt and pepper shakers etc.

Nice place!

The home was perfect for friends and kids. Only a few houses from the beach which was amazing for the kids to go back and forth. If you do decide to stay make sure you bring your own chairs, not sure if the owner is aware but the chairs they provide are breaking and worn. Not too useable. Besides that the home was great and as described! The sand pit outside was perfect for the kids too kept them busy while we were at the home!

Mississippi Beach House July 4th week 2022

From top to bottom this was a great vaca. It was me and my 3 kids. My brother and his gf and 2 kids. Our kids are teenagers they loved the ping pong. And TV had plenty of options for relaxing after a long day on the beach. Lots of games. Lots of space and enough bathrooms to accommodate 5 teenagers! My brother has a house he owns on New Mexico so short walk there most nights for dinner with our whole family. Great idea to have a Kerrigan and Ice cream at the general store was just a short walk at night. And we loved loved loved the jukebox!! Total 10!!

Wonderful home in a great town for our multigenerational family beach vacation!

My family of four (including 13-year-old twin boys) have historically stayed further south during DE/MD beach trips. With family from CO visiting for only a few days, we wanted something in a less congested area that still provided access to all that the DE beach areas have to offer. The Broadkill Beach property provided the perfect location and the perfect accommodations for three generations to gather! The bedrooms with attached bathrooms were appreciated by all. The open (well-appointed) kitchen, dining and living room area provided the perfect indoor space while the outside furnishings and multiple decks provided wonderful spaces for viewing and listening to the surrounding nature. The property offers plenty of space to gather or have alone time, especially with the downstairs living/family room. And of course the jukebox was a big hit for all - reminiscing from us older folks and the fascination from the younger ones! Great communications and easy check-in and check-out.

Enjoyable Stay

Was a very comfortable experience for our whole family of 9. We did have to chase a mouse out of the second floor bedroom the first night and there were a couple cockroaches seen. Must have had pets in premises because our great grandson had some allergy difficulty after playing on carpets. Should be steam cleaned. Need more than 4 dining chairs for groups. Had to purchase our own coffee maker because Keurig not practical for large groups. Could have had some salt & pepper on premises. Also a blind would be helpful on the main floor Western facing window to keep room cool.

Thank you for your review. I would like to respond saying that we have a yearly contract with a professional pest company in place. We have never had a report of a roach in the house. After your comment we had another professional inspection done citing no evidence of any roach presence. One of the drawbacks of living at a secluded beach surrounded by wildlife preserves, is the occasional mouse. We also have a professional prevention service who has now made another visit to the property. Fantastic House - Fantastic Host

Our family gathered from Atlanta, New York and Salt Lake City to have a week together at the beach at Danielle's property. Broadkill Beach was new to us, but we have been coming to the Delaware shore for 30 years. The house was fantastic and Danielle was a perfect host. Before we arrived, there was a minor issue caused by a previous guest. Danielle was in communication with us before we arrived and had a solution to the problem by the evening of the first day. We didn't have to contact Danielle, she contacted us. We really appreciated the honest and open communication. The house is clean with plenty of room for 10 older teens/adults. The kitchen was well-stocked for all of the cooking we wanted to do, which was quite a bit, actually. We all appreciated the jukebox and table tennis equipment, as well as the extra beach chairs. Be sure to snag some donuts at the store but get there early, they sell out quick. We had a wonderful stay. This is a perfect house for a low-key beach week and Danielle was the perfect host.

Great stay at a quiet beach

This is a great house with amble space for a family. It’s stocked with everything you could want from kitchen supplies to beach chairs. Everyone in the community was very friendly. The outlets are a quick 15-20 minute drive, so you can embrace the hustle of Rehoboth and retreat to Broadkill. Just make sure to use bug spray before going to the beach because of the biting flies.
