With 120+ positive reviews, Ellie's Place encourages both first-time guests and returning friends. Our guests claim it's the best-equipped cabin ever. Awesome scenery from this well-furnished cabin. Ready to getaway!!! This beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath cabin is snuggled in the privacy of Lake Cumberland Resort.
--Projection TV in the great room along with high-speed internet makes it easy to stay in touch or escape for a movie night with cable tv, Netflix, or your own streaming service.
--Each bedroom has its own access to a separate bath.
--Ellie's Place has an ample curved driveway for your boat or ATV trailer-most cabins don't.
--Enjoy the hot tub with Bluetooth audio in a private, screened porch along with a gas grill for your cookouts.
--A stone-ringed fire pit woos you to enjoy roasting marshmallows and share family fun.
Ellie's Place offers a pool table in the game area, along with other games for family fun. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need, (bring your own food) and then some!!
Located in the gated community of Lake Cumberland Resort, Ellie's Place is considered one of the best equipped cabins in the area.
The Resort offers 3 outdoor seasonal swimming pools and tennis court. Home is within a mile of Keno Boat Ramp and Shooting Range. Resort is surrounded by 500 acres of Daniel Boone National Forest. 30 minutes to Cumberland Falls State Park, Somersplash Waterpark, Marinas and golf. Nearby Somerset is nationally known for classic car shows from April through September.

The cabin was very nice & felt very at home. We enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub for sure! It was very peaceful & quiet.

We came with our motorcycles to enjoy the roads of Kentucky. They have some amazing roads to ride. Cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed to feel at home. Hope to come back again pne day.

Great place if you are looking for a quiet relaxing trip. Was great for us, spent lots of time on the lake and utilized the hot tub in the morning. Would definitely stay here in the future.

Clean, spacious, quiet area

Checkin was super easy, we were given very easy instructions for the gate and the house. Full kitchen set up with plenty of kitchenware, hottub was very clean, wifi is fast. Would love to stay here again.

Late Christmas

We missed Christmas with our grown children due to work schedules. We used the cabin as a meeting place to celebrate. We stay in VRBO’s regularly and this cabin is fantastic! Very clean! Our favorite yet! Had everything. We played pool, board games, spent time in the hot tub, and had several meals. We will be back.

New Years With The Family

Our family of 6, all adults, had a great time at the cabin. The 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom was great. The owner h as thought of everything, this cabin was so well stocked. The cabin was very clean as well. We will definitely be back. though

Loved this cabin!

Cabin had everything: hot tub, pool table, propane grill, projection TV, well stocked kitchen! New cabin in a great location! We will definitely be back!

Could Have Been Better

We stayed the weekend of the big storm so we lost power the first night. It was out for a little over an hour that could not be helped. There were no flashlights or lanterns on property to use. I called and was told to check with security. My understanding is that this problem will be fixed. We then had to call to have the battery changed in the smoke detector and while we were waiting for the maintenance man to get there, we saw a roach crawl across the kitchen floor. When the maintenance man got there, I told him and he said he was trying to get rid of them. I think this should have been taken care of before we arrived. Overall it was fine, but would probably not return.

Pictures do not do the cabin justice

The photos do not do this cabin justice. It is very spacious and beautifully appointed. We all enjoyed our stay greatly. The hot tub is wonderful as is the projection screen and location of the cabin. We will be staying there again when in the area.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at Ellie’s place! Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Really enjoyed all the games provided, the pool table, and hot tub. We spent a lot of time on the back deck.

Family time

We enjoyed relaxing with our family in the house. It was wonderful for us to play cards, swim, and the hot tub. The screened in porch was enjoyable also.

Ellie’s Place

Ellie‘s place was very well equipped with kitchen items. The house was nice - it accommodated three couples nicely. The picture of the drive was deceptive - it would not accommodate 2 Tritoon boats & a fishing boat. Plus the road to Ellie‘s place would not accommodate Tritoon boats either. There are 10 miles of hilly & winding roads off of the main highway. The outside steps were weak/broken, the grill burners are rusted, there are electrical issues with the main light/ceiling fan. (We submitted a request to the owner to have these issues addressed by maintenance). We would strongly encourage anyone with large trailers/boats to leave them in there parking area.

Our first family vacation

We absolutely loved Ellie's Place! The cabin had something for everyone from the hot tub, to the projector, pool table, jumbo Jenga, jumbo connect 4 and Cornhole! The property owners were very quick to answer questions and help with whatever we needed. Great family getaway! Definitely will recommend and be back ourselves!

Perfect Sisters Weekend!

We enjoyed our stay at “Ellie’s Place” immensely! It was laid out perfectly for three sisters whom had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The hot tub was fabulous as we used it almost every day during our visit! The location was perfect for us and private! We loved drinking coffee in the morning on the screened in porch as well as sipping wine on the porch in the evenings! The gas grill worked great for us to cook our own dinner on our last evening at the cabin! We drove over to Edmonton to see the “Savannah Sippin’ Society” which was an awesome play! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely try to book “Ellie’s Place” again!

Ellie's Place was purchased in 2018. This wonderful cabin is names after the owner's Kentucky-born granddaughter, Ellie Marie.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The Somerset-Pulaski County region offers memorable nature, recreational activities and social events. Somerset is nationally known for its monthly classic car cruise-ins and Ellie's Place rests in the woods minutes from Lake Cumberland boating and fishing areas. In 2023, Lake Cumberland was named as America's best recreational lake by a major media source. The region is a natural treasure and features Daniel Boone National Forest, a 700,000 acre reprieve from urban life.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Where do we begin to describe Ellie's Place? Let's start with a curved driveway so you can conveniently move your towed ATV or boat. Let's not forget it's a one-minute drive from Gate 3 of LCR. Or how about upper and lower porches and a private, screen porch in the back of the cabin.
Of course, there is the largest projection entertainment system in the resort. Guests have consistently commented on how well the cabin is stocked and equipped. Virtually everything you need for a wonderful stay besides food and beverage.
How about a large firepit for those cool nights...and, Ellie's Place remembered to offer comfortable cushions for when you sit at the pit and reflect on your day.
Sure, you can consider other cabins which may be older or less well-equipped, but we invite you to Ellie's Place for your visit.
