The beach house was great. The extra amenities give the stay that personal touch. We used the canoes and kayaks every day. Plenty of things to do from ages 3 to 68. Location was great, quiet but close enough to larger cities for day trips. Overall stay, was perfect for what we were looking for.

Jean responded quickly to questions we had prior to our arrival and provided recommendations for area services, etc. Check-in was seamless. Plenty of room for our family. Loved the beach and lake
peaceful and quiet, and well-equipped w/paddleboard, kayaks, pedal boats—-all of which we enjoyed. Easy access to Cadillac, Traverse City, Lake MI and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We’re already missing the call of the loons!

Lovely cottage vacation only a few miles from Lake City

Loved our week stay on Sapphire Lake. The cottage was very roomy and our host, Jean was wonderful to work with! The kitchen has lots of very nice pots and pans as well as plenty of dishes for large groups. Plenty of bath and beach towels are provided. The Welcome basket and S’mores were a really nice surprise. Loved having access to the kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and paddle board. We had beautiful weather to enjoy the sandy beach and caught several large fish off the dock. The wraparound deck was very nice and we enjoyed watching the sunset. Ended our evening playing one of the many games Jean has provided. Thanks to Jean for providing this great cottage for our enjoyment! So many laughs and great memories!

Sapphire Lake

Third year in a row we had a wonderful time on Sapphire Lake! As always the kids, and parents, had a blast at the beach and on the watercraft, particularly the paddle board. The house has all the amenities you need to have a comfortable stay.

Great stay!

This is the second year we have stayed at this rental. It has everything you need, it's so nice not to have to bring anything for the rental. Jean has thought of everything and made sure the house has whatever you could need to stay for a week! The pillows and mattresses are really nice which made sleeping there for the week like being at home.

Great Family Getaway

We had a great time on Sapphire lake. The cottage provided lots of fun with kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and paddle boats. The kids loved the beach and we did lots of fishing. The house was a great place to relax after our water adventures with our extended family all fitting comfortably in house. The host was very responsive as we had a few questions during our stay.

It is a fabulous beach house!

We loved our stay at this home. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen and bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed eating on the deck for almost every meal and watching the lake. The kids loved playing in the water and we all enjoyed the canoes, kayaks, and paddleboard. Sitting by the lake in the shade while the kids played was delightful. Great week!

Great meeting place

We gathered all our children from 3 different locations here for a fabulous week. Ages from almost 2-74! House was so comfortable & Jean has everything! Beds were comfortable, kitchen outfitted with everything needed to feed a gang of 12-14 at times❀Great beach especially for little ones. Lots of beach toys and kayaks, canoe and pedsl boats. Wonderful Setting For Family Time

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage on Sapphire Lake. Cottage was clean and well stocked with everything needed to support our stay. Wonderful view of lake and sunsets from the deck. Water was great and we enjoyed the nice variety of kayaks, paddleboard, etc. that were provided. Loved listening to the loons on the lake. Very comfortable and great place to spend time as a family.

Great Location

My 4 kids(ranging from 7-15) loved it here. It was so nice to have kayaks, paddle boards and anything else that ensures a great beach lake day. It was great not having to worry about towels or any extra items to pack. The house was very clean and had great space to gather. We also enjoyed the basket the host provided!

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful week at Sapphire Lake. The cottage was very nice. Jean is very nice and quick to respond. The only minor issue we had was that there wasn't enough room at the table in the dining room for the 9 of us to eat together. There is a nice patio set on the deck right outside the dining area that seats 4 so everyone has a spot to eat.

Super Sapphire week!

We rented the house for a family reunion following my mother’s memorial. A lovely week relaxing at the lake and reminiscing with relatives who live in the area! The house was ready earlier than expected on the day of arrival, a gesture which was greatly appreciated! We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay from evening #1. Fabulous cottage

We loved our stay at this cottage. The host provided all the supplies we needed and more. The owner’s attention to detail was evident. The house was very clean and it felt like home. We had a lot of fun at the beach and enjoyed all the beach equipment that was provided. All the cooking and dining equipment was provided and much appreciated, as we love to cook. We also enjoyed the two fire pits and the sunsets are amazing. We will come back.

Wonderful home on Lake Sapphire

My family and I had a fantastic time at your lovely home. Home was clean, well appointed and the beds were super comfortable. The best part is the large beach with kayaks, a paddle board and a dock for our rental pontoon boat. Thank you for the lovely gift for my mom for her birthday, that was such a beautiful surprise. Lake Sapphire

This was a great place to stay, our family enjoyed time together and the many water activities. Close enough to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island for day trips. Jean was a great host. Thank you for the welcome basket filled with goodies and bottles of wine. Enjoyed the great view from the deck, coffee in the morning, wine at night. I have a sign at home that says this is how this Grandma tells time.

Family getaway

We planned this family trip in place of exchanging Christmas presents this year. The idea was to spend more time together. This place was perfect! It was large enough for everyone to hang out in numerous areas. Both fire pits were used, and all the boats. The kids went frog hunting and built many sand castles on the beach, which is huge! Lovely escape

We had a GREAT time! Jean provides everything that you could possibly need! We kayaked, swam, had bonfires on the beach. Went hiking, visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, saw a movie in Cadillac. Went tubing down the Platte River. We also visited Tasty Treat in downtown Lake City for ice cream several times! Lovely home to relax in and enjoy time away. Thanks Jean! We will be back!

Wonderful vacation

"Our family had absolutely wonderful time!! We loved all that you provided...from the welcoming basket to the kayaks, paddle board, paddle boats and beach towels AND providing the items for smores around the beachfront fire pit. The kids loved the sandy beach and walk into the water. Our grandson finally caught a fish and was beside himself! Games to play, tvs to watch and plenty of places to relax and read. It is very secluded. I stock almost everything you can think of. Room enough to have lots of privacy and it has the most beautiful clean Sandy Beach. You can play on the sand, build a fire, swing while gazing at the beautiful lake, kayak, paddle board, canoe, or take out a paddle boat. So much to do while you are here. The sunsets are stunning!
