Great stay- plenty of room! Hot tub was awesome with the views, and all the windows!!! Easy dirt road to get to location. Lots of wildlife and close to amenities. Loved it!

This home was perfect for our family’s long weekend getaway. Far enough outside of town to enjoy some breathtaking views, but close enough that it was easy and quick to get to town. My partner and our kids all enjoyed our separate rooms when we retired or needed privacy, but also the common areas for playing games and hanging out. The kitchen is well appointed and we made several meals with no problem. Owner was very responsive and booking was easy, as always with Piñon. Thank you!

Thanksgiving with Adult Kids

Loved our stay in Salida - beautiful views, great house, hot tub, close to hiking trails and to town, cozy during a snow storm. We were 6 adults and a dog and cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner. We would definitely stay there again.

Scenic Salida Getaway

What a great place! A quiet and secluded property with expansive views all around. It felt like our own special retreat, and yet was only a few minutes to town, restaurants and the local dog park. Highly recommend!

We had a great time staying in this home overlooking Salida. We cooked, hiked, explored town, rafted, and enjoyed one another with this as our home base. The home game us plenty of space to hang out together while having room to spread out.

This house was beautiful! The views were amazing and the house was very clean. We didn’t encounter any problems. I would definitely recommend this place and will be re-booking again!

Very spacious with great view!

Sometimes it’s hard to get enough room for the five of us, but this house fit us all easily! It’s not too close to town, so you have a bit of seclusion, but you can still be where you need to be in Salida in 10 mins. The view is great too. And we saw a beautiful fox prowling around.

Property was clean, organized, and had great views. Beds were super comfortable (great linens). Well stocked kitchen for meal prep/serving. Communication was exceptional from hosts. Greeted by deer upon arrival. Close to town for shopping needs/wants. Close to trails for outdoor needs/wants. Great stay!

Beautiful House with Incredible Location

This house is situated with 360 degree views. It has easy access to hiking trails, the main town of Salida, and Monarch Mountain. It was clean and fully stocked. We're planning a return trip this summer.

Private oasis close to town

We had 4 adults, 3 teens/pre-teens, and 2 dogs. The home was lovely. We felt far away and isolated, but were only 9 minutes away from downtown/the grocery store.

Winter vacation

The property was cozy and modern. My family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day of skiing and then resting on the couch warming up by the fireplace while watching a movie on the large t.v. There was plenty of room for my family of 5. The property manager communicated often and was very accommodating. The whole process from check in to check out was simple.

50th birthday bliss

Perfect location to be near to town and adventure, but provides the solitude I crave. Hot Tub for relaxing and awesome views day and night. The 2 car garage is great. Had a woderful time where we could split up, and go skiing, site seeing, hor springing, and I even brought my telescope sor some star gazing!!! Excellent 3 day birthday!

Amazing Views

This property has amazing views of Salida and the mountains. The house has plenty of space in each bedroom. It didn’t feel tight for our group of 7 and a dog. The hot tub was a nice amenity. And having space to walk the dog was great. We did experience a lack of water pressure in the upstairs bathroom.

This really is a fabulous scenic getaway spot!

The property was beautiful, clean and cozy. The place is decorated beautifully and is very spacious. The hosts very accommodating when we asked for early check-in. We were sorry not to be able to use the fireplace. It would be nice to have a few more supplies available like oil, vinegar, shampoo, especially for short-term guests. Thank you for providing our family a much-needed getaway!

Close to Monarch

This house was perfect for us and just a short drive to the ski area. Loved the hot tub and the daily visits from the deer. Management was fast to respond with any questions! Only thing that was a bit lacking was the kitchen basics- not as many pots and pans as some of the places we have stayed. We usually cook all meals in our rentals so we just had to run Walmart for disposable pans.

Stunning views

We loved our time in this beautiful house. The views of the surrounding landscape were stunning from both inside and outside the house. The kitchen was well equipped for meal preparation and was a nice space to work in. The three bedrooms were well decorated and had comfortable beds. The property exceeded our expectations and we spent more time on site than we anticipated. The house and property became an attraction. There was wildlife, migrating birds and beautiful sunrises and sunsets to observe. The proximity to public open space for hiking and dog walking was a huge plus.

Loved the property, it had everthing we needed. Our feet were cold due to the no shoes rule. In the winter, it should recommend slippers for inside. Followed the checkout process, but there was no laundy soap to do so.
