Fulled Remodeled Mtn Home on Columbine Lake - Hot Tub - 1 mile to Purg - AC

NOTE: 4WD/AWD required in winter with snow tires (Thanksgiving through late March). Chains can be rented in the neighborhood for $30/day.

The house is currently undergoing an extensive remodel and will have 6 bedrooms when complete and all of the bedrooms will be access via the interior of the home (complete April 2026).

Our custom home features 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms sits on 1.2 acres and is located above Columbine Lake with a private hot tub.

Less then 2 miles from Purgatory Ski Resort and 25 miles from historic downtown Durango, the home offers privacy and seclusion and amenities including 3 outdoor living spaces including the deck off the main living space which features view of Columbine Lake, a private hot tub, outdoor dining table, BBQ grill and additional seating. The luxury home also features super fast Starlink WIFI (100MBs), You Tube TV, washer/dryer, 2 car garage and a gourmet kitchen. And while not needed very often, the home does have central AC for those occasional warm summer days.

The Main Living Space features floor to ceiling windows with amazing views.

A Serene Mountain Home

My family and I booked this place mainly for the beautiful mountainous views, hot tub and location. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds and plenty of storage. The bathrooms and common areas were also spacious and clean. However, I must mention that when we arrived, we noticed some minor cleanliness issues that slightly marred our first impression. There were some dust build-ups on the ceiling fans, and we spotted a few spider webs in the light fixtures. Outside, there were cobwebs on the exterior windows, and we noticed minor debris on the floors. These issues didn't significantly affect our overall experience, they are minor details that the property management should address more attentively. The kitchen was well-equipped and functional, making it easy for us to prepare meals for a family of any size. The dining area offered a fantastic space for communal meals, and the deck with a barbecue was a great spot for outdoor dining while taking in the breathtaking mountain views. The natural beauty and tranquility of the location, coupled with the cozy and inviting interior, make it a great choice for large or small families to connect with nature and create lasting memories.

Great property

Great home for family, plenty of room. Great view. Amenities nice, could have used instructions for oven. GPS instruction think Beaver Circle is a complete circle, it is not. We ended up in another properties' driveway.

A memorable family vacation

This house was a perfect setting for our first family ski trip. The house was comfortable and gave us the perfect spot to enjoy apres ski dinners and family time. I came with my daughter, son in law and their 3 kids, my son, daughter in law and their son. The house was located a mile from the purgatory resort, which made getting to morning ski school an easy drive. The house’s large windows in the family area gave a dramatic view of the snowy landscape. The kids were able to learn to ski at ski school. This trip made us a skiing family . More ski trips in the future! Not doubt this house would also be wonderful in other seasons.

PERFECT!!

This property was everything we could have wanted. Extremely spacious - comfortable beds - great location - stocked with anything you would need - HOT HOT HOT water - amazing views - amazing hot tub - amazing fire place !! Check in and out was easy. Close to skiing and only 30 minutes to Durango for shopping. My only suggestions is 4WD is a must!! My parents had AWD and still had difficulty getting up the hill to the house. My 4WD had no trouble at all. Would 100% recommend this house. Everything was perfect!!

Special kind of beautiful

We got the lucky opportunity to visit this home when the snow was absolutely dumping! It made for an interesting experience but the home was fully prepared for us - firewood, fire starters, lots of blankets, comfortable warm atmosphere, games, shovels, snow scrapers, and even a ladder so that we could knock snow off of the satellite dish. Restaurants nearby were all superb - The Lift and the Nugget food truck were our go-tos. We did hit the closest market and liquor stores, and cook in a couple of nights, and that was easy and fun in the fully stocked kitchen. We were able to easily do laundry. The 2nd master on the patio is quiet and secluded from the rest of the house, our teenager stayed there [happily]. We did have a couple of queries for the property management, and found that email was the best way to get a hold of them, and they were incredibly helpful. Would love to see this very special home in the summer!!!
