Enjoy the convenience of staying close to the Angel Fire mountain activities! This studio condo not only has a premium location, with a view of the Angel Fire Ski Basin, and a clothes washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and updated appliances. The living room has two queen-sized beds, a sofa, and a smart TV. You will be next to where all the action is and spectacular views of the mountains! Have a blast at this ski-in/ski-out condo! Located on the ground floor, however, stairs are required to reach the entrance. There is parking in front of the 'B' building or guests may park in one of the unmarked spots in the 'C' building parking lot and take a short walk across to the unit's entrance.

LOCATION: Easy walk to the Dream Catcher Lift a or 2-minute drive from the Angel Fire mountain activities. Shared community indoor heated pool located at the Angel Fire Country Club approximately 2.6 miles or 7-minute drive. Fees apply
PARKING: On-site parking for 1 to 2 vehicles; Guests may park above in the B Building parking lot and take the stairs to the unit. Or, park in the C Building parking lot at the very end in one of the unmarked spots and a short walk across to the unit.
INSURANCE: Most reservations come with accidental damage insurance, should you have an accident in the home. The Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 OR $1,000,000 coverage for property damage and bodily injury depending on the property.

ANGEL FIRE RESORT: Wintertime offers several mountain activities, such as downhill and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, snow-tubing, and sports lessons. Summertime, the outdoor fun continues with mountain biking, zip-lining, scenic chairlift rides, disc golf, hiking, pickle-ball, and fishing.
ANGEL FIRE COUNTRY CLUB: Open to the public. A fitness center and indoor heated pool are available for a small fee. Fine dining and a full bar at Elements.
GOLF COURSES: Angel Fire Resort Golf Course (1.7 miles), Valley Escondido Golf Course (12.9 miles).
DAY TRIPS: Taos and Taos Pueblo Village (24.9 miles), Taos Ski Valley (43.7 miles), Rio Grande Gorge Bridge (36.6 miles), and Santa Fe (92.6 miles).
RESTAURANTS: El Jefe, Village Haus Restaurant & Bar, Pizza Stop, Angel Fired Pizza, Enchanted Circle Brewing Company, The Bakery & Café @ Angel Fire, Mikuna Grill, Zeb's, and Elements @ the Angel Fire Country Club.

We loved this condo and would stay here again. It is cozy! Amazing location. We had a hiccup on arrival (code to retrieve keys didn’t work) but property manager solved it without me having to contact the owner.

Great location for ski in/out

If you are coming to ski, this is a great location. We were able to park and not have to drive due to restaurants with walking distance. Highly recommend if you are a small family!

we again enjoyed our stay at the Bear Den. The amenities were nice as I reviewed last year.. A crockpot would be a wonderful addition so we could leave and have dinner ready when we return. The bed by the window is still very hard and really needs a pillow topper. We enjoy a firm mattress, but it was way more than firm..

Perfect for Couple

Well stocked kitchen for preparing meals, Keurig, toaster, microwave, large fridge; plenty of hangers, 2 suitcase racks, nice comfy recliner in addition to sofa, and large TV easy to see from bed or sofa…very comfortable for this senior couple. Only negative was bed near window was really hard but would definitely stay here again.

Great location for Ski In/ Ski out!

We had a family of 5. There was two queen beds and a pull out couch. Plenty of room. Full kitchen. Washer/dryer. And very convenient to the slopes! Our family loved it!

Loved our stay here. Beautiful view. Lots of amenities. Washer/dryer is a huge plus. Excellent location and proximity to the slopes. The management even replaced the Keurig coffee when the original one stopped working. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable. The bed closest to the window was rock hard. After sleeping there 4 nights my back and neck were hurting.

Solid, but Issues

The place was decent and we enjoyed our stay there. There were a couple of bigger issues. First, the internet didn't work and there wasn't really any effort to fix it by the rental property owner. You might say this isn't a big deal, but a big reason we chose this property was for the internet. We stayed over Super Bowl Sunday and had to spend money on a meal out rather than watch it in the rental. The other big issue is that this rental is touted as ski-in/ski-out. It is only ski-out if you took a 20 foot drop through several feet of snow, and even if you did, you couldn't ski back in. We did enjoy our stay and the location is pretty nice, but we still drove and parked at the resort to ski. If you are good with no internet, and the fact that you are still going to have to drive to ski, it's not a bad place to stay.

Not as anticipated.

Property was not clean. The interior was adequate but items like a small portion of the door painted white was a bit strange. We arrived late in the night and it was freezing. There were no blankets to be found and the baseboard heaters were inadequate. Another space heater was in the closet which helped but be warned that you need to get it out and turned on to get the room warm. The condo is within a few hundred yards of a lift but it would be nearly impossible to walk back to the condo and there is no shuttle service to the condo. The directions in the packet to the condo were inadequate. We were lucky to find the property in the dark.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Can you please let us know specifically what was not clean at the condo? There is a paint sample swatch on the inside of the front door. This was done by the previous owners and will be addressed in the spring when we can fully repaint the door. Currently, the temps are too cold to paint a metal door. It is not dirt, just a patch of paint color. We employ a top-notch housekeeping team and inspectors to check their work. If there was another issue, we would like to know so we can address it with our staff. New blankets have been purchased for the condo, thank you for the suggestion. The Ski Run Condos back up to the Dream Catcher Lift. It is one of the closest complexes to the ski basin area. The snow level can affect the ease of getting to the lifts and back to the condo. There is free parking at the Angel Fire Resort's Black, Green, and Blue lots, where the shuttle picks up and drops off. The lots are visible on Google Maps. We always encourage guests to call our office if they experience any difficulties during their stay. Our goal is to keep you comfortable so you can enjoy your visit.
