Perfect landing spot to explore the Redwoods. Close to amenities in town. Sits on a quiet street. Everything was super clean. Would definitely rent again.

Great spot close to everything! Walked to the beach, had easy access to both Eureka and Arcata and our dog was so comfortable and had a blast! Would definitely recommend

This was an adorable, clean and well-appointed home, located steps from the sand dunes which led to the beach. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly. Any other information that you might need is conveniently located in a binder in the home. If you need a place to stay in this area, do not hesitate to book this home. All you need to do is bring yourself!

The house was so cozy and comfortable! We cooked dinner the first night and had all the cookware we needed. Walking to the beach from the house was great. It was the perfect place to lay our heads down after fun days in the Redwoods!!

Great stay. Love the location, halfway between Eureka and Arcata. Cute home with a nice area for my dog to play in outside. The beds are really comfortable. I would definitely book a stay again if I am in the area.

We loved the Beach House! It's a cute little bungalow by the beach in a quiet neighborhood, close to Arcata and CalPoly Humboldt where we attended our son's graduation during our stay. We especially enjoyed walking the dunes and beach right by the house. It was definitely one of our best get-aways!

The property was welcoming to pets; however, the grass was so long it was hard to clean up after pets.The kitchen was stocked well enough that meals could be prepared.The host was very good with communication.

Our first time to Eureka. Our VRBO was perfect for our needs. 2 seniors and a puppy. The awesome beach walks, from the house further down the road were perfect. Two bedrooms, but the bed we chose was so comfortable.

Google Maps can be used to access the property until the last two turns. The Queen bedroom was a bit on the smaller size. Washer and dryer were a great size! House is on a slight tilt so keep that in mind as well! Over all is a great home. Would definitely be back

Manila stay :)

Can do a day trip from location and see, do anything on the coast. Brought my crockpot, dinner ready when we go back. Enjoyed quiet evenings.

Spring Break

We stayed at the house for about 4 nights. It was clean and exactly as described. We appreciated the fenced in yard for our dogs. The complimentary bottle of wine was a special treat. Jay was responsive and helpful. The house was very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Jason gave great directions to the house. After the first time, it was easy to find. Cute and quiet, with a yard for the dog. He left us a bottle of wine which led to the discovery of a nice winery. If you have time, rake the Humboldt Bay cruise on the Maraket! Thank you Jason!

Nice place

A little bit of a walk to the beach. You pass through some trees and brush. There are mosquito's as big as small aircraft, on the way. Please do as recommended and use mosquito spray. Nice beach with shells and sand dollars.

This place is a gem

We couldn't have been more delighted with our stay at Bowie & Jay's Beach House. The place is spacious, comfortable, well-maintained, and well situated. Jay provided a very complete notebook of instructions and ideas for making the most of the stay. We were visiting family nearby, and it was easy to gather with them here. Everyone had a great time. We live in Pennsylvania, but we can't wait to return, when possible. Thank you, Jay, for your excellent hospitality!

Great place to stay if you are hitting up the Redwoods

Cozy little place with most everything you will need. We came for a little beach time and hiking the redwoods. Beach was a little further away than we thought when we booked it(almost a half mile) but it is a nice walk through some sand dunes and we had that section of the beach to ourselves for the most part so the walk is worth it. It is about central in the redwoods for anything you want to do. We hit up alor of hiking on the north end and avenue of the giants to the south. Caught a nice little fishing charter out of Trinidad as well. sand dines
