This is a well kept historic home in a very walkable area of Denver. Check in/check out was easy. The kitchen was stocked with basics. Living areas and bedrooms were comfortable. The only reason I didn’t rate this a 10 was that while the photos showed stairs, it only showed the 4 to the landing. After a 90 degree turn, there were another 12-15 (at least) and they were steep and narrow. Carrying up suitcases and or small children could be an issue. That should be divulged since there are no bedroom on the lower level. There is a bath on the lower level so at least.

Spacious historic home in a cool and increasingly gentrifying neighborhood close to everything. There’s a tram stop around the corner. Parking is next to the house. Communications with the management company was good and there is a useful portal with all the info anyone would need. Inside: Lots of towels and other necessities. Plenty of closet space. Two large bathrooms , comfortable beds , a well-appointed kitchen and large dining table make a longer stay easy, as does a washer/dryer set. The house is connected to the Stiles African-American museum and has a few cool pieces inside connecting it to the history of the site and the neighborhood. Enjoyed the stay all around.

Good location and unique home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good stay here. It's a historic home and seems to be somewhat of a work-in-progress, but it's unique, clean, safe and in a great location to get to the Fillmore, where we were seeing a show. It's also close to the 16th St. Mall where you'll find restaurants and shops.

We found the home to be very clean and in an excellent location for our trip to Denver. The listing mentioned air conditioning and we assumed that meant central air conditioning but it was free standing room air conditioning. We were a bit surprised but it did keep the rooms they were in comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchen were warm though. We also noticed the units were plugged into outlet strips which isn’t code. We were in touch with the management company and they did send a person out with better cords. We appreciate their help with our concerns.Our only other comment would be the small throw rugs by the beds should have a rubber mat underneath. They were very slippery and we were afraid there would be a fall if not careful especially in the middle of the night. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

I stayed with my family for 6 nights but almost bailed the first night because of being so caught off guard by the narrow staircase with narrow steps and a 90 degree turn part way up. Given my age and old knees and large luggage reflective of a two week trip and having to lug the luggage up old narrow treacherous steps almost left me in tears. Please change the description to make it clear that this property should not be rented by anyone with physical limitations. It wasn’t obvious all bedrooms are on the second floor until you click several times into the listing. The photos online did not accurately reflect the brightness or cleanliness of the house. The bottom of our feet were filthy and white socks ruined by walking on the floors. The upstairs bathroom has an old soaking tub turned into a shower so one has to step over the high edge of the tub- which I wasn’t physically able to do safely and no room to put any toiletries in that bathroom nor a mirror light and the darkness made it difficult to do hair and makeup. The positive aspects were location and driveway parking. The kitchen is beautifully remodeled though we didn’t choose to cook there. I think many of these issues can be easily corrected by transparency of the property description. It’s a lovely property if you go in eyes wide open and with a bit more tlc (better lighting, clean floors, floor repairs where you have soft boards.)

We loved the house and the area. Two great coffee shops and the delicatessen within walking distance made the mornings fun. Loved the art and history throughout the house. Kitchen had everything we needed. The aveda shampoo and body wash was a nice touch.
