Long-term stay in Calistoga for cheap price

Travelled here with my wife for a travel nursing job, enjoyed the cheaper price for a long-term stay. However, cleanliness of place upon arrival was an issue. It seemed that the place had not been deep-cleaned in quite some time. There were spider webs and spiders in many places, including high touch surfaces. It took some convincing from me to get my wife to agree to stay after arriving. I had to spend a day deep cleaning the place for it to seem comfortable. Overall, it was worth the price for a very private location close to downtown Calistoga. Just be aware that this place has an issue with spiders and some other bugs getting in. The host should provide more cleaning supplies as this place is only for long-term stays and she expects the guests to deep-clean the place prior to checking out. I appreciate the host’s communication and flexibility with certain instances throughout our stay.

Interesting review. I let this guest use my second bedroom for their extra person for free for 2 months. I also let him bring two dogs in with very little charge. I only asked that they would be mindful of cleanliness since they had two dogs and charged them very little for cleaning. They also asked me to only charge them for a partial second month which I did. I think I was very accommodating to them. This cottage is in the woods as it is mentioned and little spiders find their way in no matter what. I deep cleaned the place the day before they arrived.

Cozy Comfy Stay

This is a lovely property in a peaceful part of town, located on a hillside. If you seek your peace and quiet, this is the spot. I had a wonderful stay that was relaxing. Didn't know how I'd do without TV but thought I'd be ok with my compter, phone and internet. However, the internet service was very spotty. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Worst vrbo ive ever stayed at. Bedroom is not what is pictured. Its a gross old room with a mattress and box spring on the ground. They did add AC and it took a few hours to cool the bedroom down (ac is in the kitchen area) Infested with spiders living and dead. Killed at least 20 daddy longleg spiders the first night. Had to fight to get refund due to material misrepresentation on the bedroom. Left after first night.

Sweet little cottage in the trees, very quiet and relaxing. Seemed like they were in the middle of some upgrades that will likely make it even nicer. Would stay again.

Nice Location in Calistoga

Nice private location on the north side of Calistoga. Private, but close to downtown and a number of my favorite wineries. Perfect for two people and an excellent value compared to other options in the area. Host was very responsive and helpful! Check the amenities in the listing, so that you are not surprised.

Nice cottage, bed not so nice

Seemed to be new to VRBO? It was nice, but the pictures were off a realtor site. The bedroom pictured in the ad that we thought was to be our bedroom, was off limits. The other bedroom had a queen size mattress on the floor. With another queen size mattress on top of it. We are both seniors and this was difficult for us. Not only the elevation so close to the floor but very uncomfortable. It was also colder so close to the floor and I am a bug phobia person….other than that the kitchen and bathroom was good. Wifi was too weak to use and we used our hotspot on our phone. NO TV…inquire about amenities prior to booking. Looks like owners are in the process of upgrading the cottage. There is another rental very close in the front. So be prepared for neighbors. Washer and dryer is on their porch by their bedroom so don’t plan on using it if that house is booked.
