Great Stay!

Lovely stay at Wilderness Club, Big Cedar. Not our first time here and we will definitely be back. We had noisy neighbors above us (children doing gymnastics I think!) but quieted down by 10pm. We stayed in the James River lodge. Overall a great getaway!

This is our third visit here and we enjoyed it like usual. I would say the lodge we were in looked a bit older than in the past and the bus system was not as punctual. But overall a very good place to stay. Kids love the pools!

Quick stay for some relaxation

We stayed 4 nights in Mill Creek Lodge. It was a nice condo. We enjoyed all of the amenities the property had to offer. My husband fished table Rock and I enjoyed the spa and shopping at the boutique. We will definitely be back!

This condo is perfect! It has everything you could want or need for your stay; it's clean and cozy. And we love the wooded footpath to the Big Cedar Shoppe and restaurants.

Property could use some updating- dated stall shower and jacuzzi tub. Not as close to Big Cedar amenities such as the lake and restaurants as hoped. Needed to drive more than anticipated. Ground floor with limited view made the condo seem dark inside. Based on the price, our expectations were higher.

Even though there was an attepmt at a timeshare pitch (I do NOT set through or appreciate the pushiness of them), check in was ok. The rest of the stay was great. Beautiful property, good food & nice accomodations.

Go to Big Cedar, but Don’t Use Christian

We won’t be using Christian or any of his listings again. Big Cedar and Branson are definitely worth booking directly. Christian uses a third party that was not helpful or honest and was the worst VRBO communication experience we’ve had after 10’years using VRBO. They screwed up our reservation, and didn’t catch the mistake (we had to find out on our own we were getting kicked out a day earlier than we paid). Christian’s team did nothing to fix the mistake (we had to work directly with a manager onsite at Big Wilderness across three days to get our final day we paid for figured out). Even after speaking with Jamal in their 3rd party management, he never got back to me after saying he would call me back to make it right. This group ghosted me after and just kept saying Christian wasn’t available, they were sorry, and any stay more than 4 nights had the potential to get moved suddenly without warning “for cleaning”. They had multiple chances to make it right, and did nothing. DO NOT USE CHRISTIAN. Big Cedar is amazing and Lisa Shelton at Big Wilderness definitely helped us. Book directly
