Overall it was a very pleasant stay. The building needs some work and dont expect 5 star amenities. The beach is nice and not crowded. If your looking for a place to crash, that affordable and close to the action, this is it. We would stay here again.

First time in Gulf of America

Host was very responsive to our needs. Place is clean with adequate linens, pillows, cooking utensils, and small items like beach towels and beach floats. The view of the coast is spectacular.. Security personnel were visible around the area at all times. It was a pleasant stay!

Great location for price

Great location with quick access to the beach. Close to restaurant with live music. Place is old with some stuff not working properly like the elevator. The AC also wouldnt cool below 76 during the day due to sun hitting the patio all day. Host was quickly responsive about some minor concerns. Pool area is clean but also looks run down. For the price, would stay here again.

North beach

Building is in reeeeally bad shape. There was roaches in the apartment. It was cheap though and location was good to be able to walk right out to the beach and to see the ocean from balcony. The air never got below 78 though so luckily it was cloudy during our stay.

Right away we noticed roaches, the couch bed is broken, the AC didn’t work, it stayed at 75 the entire time and it felt really humid inside the place the entire time we were there. We didn’t end up staying the night due to the conditions of the unit.

Nice family headquarters

My MIL stayed here while my family and I stayed at a nearby hotel (used points 😉). I picked this property b/c it seemed like a great place for the entire family to congregate at meal-times etc. and it didn't disappoint. I don't know when I'll be back in Corpus, but I'll definitely look at this place again!

We loved the complex. Our unit was a little rough. Needs some updates. The elevator didn't work the whole time. It was out for 40 days before we arrived.

There is a lot of construction there before you have a bunch of strangers walking around happening. I had an Erie feeling staying there so I would suggest going with someone and not being alone.

Was super excited to have a place so close to the beach. We noticed a lot of wood damage to the condos. It smelled musty, but we aired it out well enough. The AC was set at 80 and we could not get it to cool down. I finally messaged the host that evening. It was a very rough night with the place at 80 degrees, not much sleep was to be had. The host sent a maintenance man the next day, but we still didn’t have working AC until after 5. The host offered a discount but then never gave it to me. The pools were super hot, and the beach and ocean riddled with Jellyfish. We will definitely be choosing elsewhere next time.

This was not what i expected!

The furniture and walls were dirty. Dust balls on the walls and that balcony is sketchy. The floor on that balcony had soft spots. The best place in this condo was the bathroom. I have traveled to plenty of places and this was the top 3 worst places i have ever stayed.

Small Place

The pictures are a little deceiving. The apartment is old but in a good condition. The parking lot is in a very bad shape, holes everywhere so watch out if you want to take care of your car. Both TVs are cracked and the one in the bedroom doesn’t t work. Rough neighborhood, I wouldn’t recommend to go out for a walk at night with children. The place was cleanish and good condition but the building is falling apart. Good proximity to the bay not the beach. Worth it if you’re on a budget and if you only stay for a few days. No extra set of sheets.

Unable to stay due to odor

I was unable to stay because the odor in the property was giving me an instant migraine. There was visible mildew or mold in several locations and especially onthe back porch. The porch itself seemed unstable. There was nothing in the description saying we would be paying for a key to get in and out the gate until arriving to the property. When I asked for a refund of at least 50% of my charges because I could not even stay there longer than the hour that I was there trying to air it out enough to stay. I was refunded about 20% of the two days day. I am not happy at all what the response of the homeowner nor the listing and is the first time I’ve been unhappy with the both the homeowner and the service VRBO provided.

Terrible stay

The condo was dirty and smelled like mold. The sheets smelled bad. The television did not work. Air conditioner was not working properly. There was no toaster. The access code was wrong. We spent over 30 minutes in the heat around 100 degrees. We left on Saturday morning but paid until checkout which was supposed to be Monday. My sister had a bad reactions from the mold. I would not recommend anyone stay there. It was definitely a misrepresentation.

Pictures are deceiving

Had a funny smell. Remotes to both TVs were dirty and sticky. Outside balcony was a mess. Bedroom was very small and could not enjoy. Bed was very uncomfortable. I could only image how the bunk beds would feel or half size bunk beds may I say. Fan in bedroom kept making a clicking noise and was annoying to sleep with. Had to purchase our own bedding because the provided ones felt dirty. Bathroom was nice but small and felt claustrophobic. Ac stopped working the first night and woke up sweating and couldn’t go back to sleep. Expected a magical anniversary and ended up a disappointment. Maintenance was suppose to have came during the day while we where gone and ended up coming late at night when my wife and I where already trying to relax for the night.

The door lock was not completely secure as the latch bolt is completely misaligned with the bore and would not lock, only the deadbolt would lock. Also, the dish soap was old and disgusting with dead bugs in the soap; however, the host was very prompt on responding and sending someone to deliver clean dish soap. The back door also does not lock and is held by a wooden rod, but the plus side is that we're on the third floor which provides a layer of comfort against intruders. There was also renovation material basically in plan site which takes away from the comforting home-away from home feeling that any other similar service can provide.
