Sunrise Forest, peaceful retreat in Hocking Hills sleeps 9 with 3 full bathrooms

Sunrise Forest is an extremely private & peaceful retreat for family vacations, romantic getaways, special occasions or simply a place to chill. Guests have access to the entire house, 1,400 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and open loft with 2 twin beds. The great room is the place to relax & recharge with a wood burning fireplace and a 55” smart tv with Dish satellite TV & a Roku device for streaming. All three bedrooms are equipped with Roku smart TV’s & ceiling fans. Sunrise Forest is the ideal spot for nature lovers with 35 acres of abundant wildlife, walking trails and is pet friendly. Outdoor fire pit with 9 Adirondack chairs, outdoor lighting, swing set for the kids & 6-person hot tub overlooking a scenic ravine. The property is adjacent to Wayne National Forest with public access to explore 275 acres. The Wi-Fi service has average speeds of 25 Mbps with the ability to stream movies, gaming or conduct a video call. An exterior Wi-Fi extender has been installed to provide limited Wi-Fi service outside of the cabin. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, electric oven and cooktop, microwave & an instant drip coffee maker. (Coffee not provided)
Although this property is remote, it is located off a main state route and is approximately a 20 minute drive to 7 of Hocking Hills "Premier" state parks. The quaint town of Logan is 10 miles from the cabin which has many seasonal attractions and dining options or the historic college town of Ohio University in Athens is only 17 miles from the cabin. The classic Appalachian town of Nelsonville, with endless discoveries, is only 8 miles away.

The cabin was perfect! Was stocked with a ton of dishes, cookware that we ended up needing as well as board games, wood for the fireplace and a little welcome basket!

House was clean and it was a great stay for a friend group of ladies. The driveway was loose rock and a little scary at the angle of hill when exiting. Overall, wonderful place to stay!

We loved having 3 baths! The beds were great and lots of privacy! In the evening there was enough room for all 7 of us to crash in the family room and watch a movie. It was great!

We loved our stay at Sunrise Forest! This was the first-ever VRBO experience for my parents, and they were so impressed. We had everything we needed, checking in and out was so easy, and it was cozy while also being excellently cool on a couple of muggy, sweltering hot summer days. Would 100% stay again!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We had a blast exploring the trails around the house, my kids loved the swing set. And make sure to check out the stars while you're there. Absolutely gorgeous.

Great property

The property was beautiful, easy to find, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for a few days.The lights by the firepit were a really nice touch, and the hot tub was relaxing. The host was easy to communicate with.We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property which was convenient to all the hiking in the area.

We had special request and our host was very accommodating. We had 9 people and the house had more than enough room for all of us. We were really wanting to have a fire outside and looked for wood on our way to the house but when we got there our host already had wood stacked in the fire pit. The inside of the house was very clean and perfect for our large group. The property outside was very clean even though it was fall all of the leaves were blown and it looked like the little trails by the house were blown clean of leaves as well. Overall a very cute property and very gracious host! Would definitely book again. We had a great time.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Having been a lifelong resident of Columbus, Ohio I have always enjoyed getting away from the ‘big city life’ to enjoy one of the most scenic parts of Ohio. This cabin is located approximately 1 hour southeast of Columbus, Ohio. Sunrise Forest sits on 35 acres in Hocking County. Our family also owns adjacent properties which allows us to enjoy family, friends and the great outdoors. The property line at Sunrise Forest is adjacent to Wayne National Forest which provides additional tranquility and privacy.

This property is extremely private with no visible neighbors from the cabin. This property is remote, it’s approximately a 20 minute drive to 7 of Hocking Hills "premier" state parks along with many other seasonal attractions and dining options. (Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Old Man’s Cave, Conkle’s Hollow, Cantwell Cliffs, Rocks House & Whispering Cave)
