Massive screened pocket doors connect the great room to the sizable lanai, where the beauty of the carved wooden posts and the railing’s subtle leaf designs are utterly eclipsed by the vast golf course and peek-a-boo ocean view beyond. Waipi’o Valley is the more popular of the two, but the steep cliff sides of Pololu Valley make it worth a visit.
