Step back in time while enjoying modern comforts in this charming one-bedroom suite in the historic Martin House, a 1918 Frame Vernacular home named after Emanuel Martin, an early Marion County settler. Located just a 10-minute walk from downtown Ocala, this inviting retreat is perfect for couples, solo travelers, and guests looking to enjoy the area’s dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Your Private Suite

Located on the first floor of the historic home, this approximately 900-square-foot apartment features a private entrance, spacious bedroom, bathroom, living room, and full kitchen with an island. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and everyday essentials to make you feel at home.

Relax in the living room with a comfortable sleeper sofa, chair, and smart TV. Log in to your favorite streaming services, or enjoy the included live TV options. The spacious bedroom features a king-size bed, smart TV, ceiling fan, and sitting area near the decorative fireplace. The bathroom includes a shower with a rain showerhead, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and fresh towels.

Outdoor Amenities

Enjoy your morning coffee on the private front deck. The back deck, pool, and outdoor spaces are shared with guests staying in the other suites. Amenities include an outdoor dining table, gas grill, sun loungers, pool floats, an outdoor gas fire pit, and two shared bicycles for exploring the neighborhood.

Explore historic downtown Ocala, just a short walk away, with restaurants, bars, boutiques, live music, and seasonal events. The downtown square hosts Art Walk on the first Friday of each month and a farmers market on Saturdays during the season. The World Equestrian Center is approximately 8 miles away, and Silver Springs State Park is about 6 miles away.

Beautiful home, huge bedroom and kitchen with everything you need. Lovely back yard with a pool. It was the perfect stay for us. Very close to everything, food, shopping etc. Host was great and very communicative. Will definitely be staying again.

I loved this historical house with the antique furniture. The house had a modern kitchen and all the amenities. The bedroom is huge and could easily accommodate a couple with room for a portable crib. Walking distance to downtown.

The house and pool deck area worked perfectly for our needs.. the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, the hosts very attentive and we plan on renting it again when next Ocala event comes up next year

Responsive hosts and a great location, and excellent for the price. Time and weather kept us from checking out some of the amenities, but the pool looked lovely! Good sized kitchen and enough space for 3 of us to sit comfortably. The bathroom is small in size, but the shower is great. All in all, really hard to beat it for the price!

Beautiful accommodations in a historical district. Apartment was gorgeous on the inside. Very quiet neighborhood. Halloween night was a little hectic with all the little munchkins but the rest of the stay was perfect.

Wonderful 4-day stay

My teen daughters and I were so pleased with this apartment. It was clean, comfortable, furnished, very reasonably priced. After bad experiences at hotels in the past, I prefer a pleasant stay such as this.

In 2021 I purchased the Historic Martin house in downtown Ocala. After months of renovation, I opened it up for guests to enjoy. I have been in the rental industry for years, and always look to have happy guests. Thank you for considering the property.

The historic district is full of charm and character. I love to walk a few minutes downtown to eat at the wonderful restaurants, shop in the boutiques and listen to live music. The architecture of each home is completely different than the next making for an interesting eclectic collection of homes.

The suite is a great value located in a great downtown historic neighborhood. Guests have private parking, a large kitchen, living room, bathroom, large bedroom, private deck and shared pool deck all steps from downtown.
