Entertain the whole family at this peaceful place to stay on top of Eagle Mountain. Secluded cabin where you can unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature. Enjoy the two oversized large porches with seasonal mountain and river views. Loft space has a game room set up for all family to enjoy. Fooseball, dart board, and 2 arcade games. Plenty of board games to play as well. Step out into the private back yard to soak in the hot tub or create memories by the fire pit. You will see a lot of deer. The cabin is very close to several wineries including Engleheim, Grapes and Ladders, and a little further drive to Ott and Buckley. A short drive to shopping, antiques and restaurants. Many hiking trails and waterfalls close by. Amicolola Falls and The Appalachian Trail a short drive away. Carters Lake as well as Lake Blue Ridge close by. Horseback riding and zip lining tours near by also. The cabin is located in the Coosawatee River Resort which has numerous amenities such as pools, fitness center, carpet golf, arcade, basketball and tennis courts. If you would like access to any of the amenities for an additional fee, please inquire at booking You can float down the Coosawatee River at a specific spot for put in and take out with your own rafts. You will need 2 vehicles. Also lots of fishing in the area. A Georgia fishing permit required for adults. Endless possibilities a lifetime of memories at Bear Haven.

This cabin was wonderful. Well stocked with everything you need but your food and snacks...We went for a girls weekend. It was wonderful. We will rent this cabin again if it is available next year for our trip.

Amazing property and beautiful inside and out. Hot tub was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable beds. Love the space and all the room we had. Very easy to access. Would love to rent again. Thank you for everything. It made our vacation so much better.

Really enjoyed our long girls weekend in the mountains. This was probably the cleanest STR property I have stayed in, and they really provided everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and we had plenty of room to hang out and relax. Seeing the deer was a bonus. We enjoyed the Apple Festival and Roo Mountain Vineyard. I would recommend arriving during daylight if you're not accustomed to narrow mountain roads. All wheel drive is helpful. Tracy communicates promptly and provides helpful recommendations.

This cabin is very thing you could possibly want for a vacation, comfortable king size bed, fully stocked kitchen, wonderful back porch with deer visitors daily. There is 3 wonderful refreshing pools with friendly patrons. Tracie the home owner is great to communicate with and is very informative.

We had a wonderful time! The house is cozy with a great set up inside and out for 4 adults and two children. The local rec center is a bonus with an indoor pool for the kids, and while part of a gated community, the house itself sits atop a small hill and is surrounded by pine trees so is nice and secluded.

Check-in was very easy. Kitchen was adequately stocked. There was plenty of space for our family. We enjoyed lots of sightseeing, feeding the deer, and boating at Lake Carter. The highlight for my husband was the Big Foot Museum.The road to the cabin was tricky, but we did get use to it.This cabin was a fantastic vacation !

Beautiful setting in the mountains. So relaxing. Deer and squirrels were present everyday. Beds were very comfortable. Would love to go again.

Best stay I’ve had. Tracy thought of everything. Lots of very thoughtful “touches” to the property. Hot tub worked perfectly and the deer were an added bonus. Excellent communication with owners Great TV and WiFi service. Beds were super comfortable. Lots of games and activities inside the cabin. Fire pit supplies were added bonus also. Thank you for the hospitality!

We had a great trip to the Coosawattee cabin! We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend, and the community hosted a small holiday gathering, which was a nice surprise. The Coosawattee community itself is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. The friendly deer are a nice surprise as well!The drive from the entrance gate to the cabin is quite a bit longer than we expected, but it wasn’t a problem for a short stay.The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the limited number of towels and washcloths. The cabin sleeps six people, but there were only six towels and six washcloths total, essentially one set per person for the entire stay. Since most people shower daily, we found ourselves needing to wash washcloths every day. While there is a washer and dryer in the cabin, it was a little inconvenient to have to do laundry just to have clean washcloths each night.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again. Just be sure to bring extra washcloths and towels if you’re planning a multi-night stay, or expect to do a load of laundry during your visit.

This home and property are gorgeous! Everything we needed was provided by the owner. The communication with the owners was wonderful. The deer almost come right up to you and there were many! The personal touches were so nice.

We spent a long weekend with our son and his wife and everything was just as the listing said. We all said that the pictures do not do it justice and we also love the area the hiking the vineyards and of course the women liked the shopping in the little stores, I do recommend this place and the host was very helpful with directions and everything was as it said thank you

Home away from home

The pictures do not do this property justice. Bear haven is beautiful. I didn't feel like I was staying in someone else's home, it was so cozy it truly felt like ours. This cabin was SPOTLESS. Even the outside areas are immaculate. We spent a ton of time outside with our deer friends. The host really went above and beyond to make this place extra special. If you are between choices, chose this cabin. We can't wait to come back!

I wish I could give Bear Haven 10 stars!

We had an amazing time at Bear Haven! From the initial reservation through the last day, our hosts were a dream to work with! The home was sparkling clean, absolutely beautiful, and was incredibly well stocked! They’ve thought of everything, and it’s clear they want guests to feel at home. The view was beautiful, the deer plentiful and, if staying in the cabin mostly, there are games galore! The smallest details were thought of! The entrance gate was easy to enter, with such friendly attendants, and the hosts had a notebook filled with need-to-know info, as well as get away suggestions. We only used the main level, and the king bed was very comfortable. Loved the quickness and ease of the gas log fireplace! We would absolutely stay in this beautiful home again!

I've been staying in cabins in north Georgia for the past 11 years. The thing that stands out the most about this cabin is the gracious host. She is personable, responsive, and helpful! I enjoyed speaking with her. The second thing about this cabin is all the deer that visited us daily. We bought deer corn to feed them and a family of 7 visited every day, twice a day. I've only experienced that at one other cabin, regardless of putting out deer corn. One thing to consider with this cabin is there are a lot of stairs to climb and the stairs to the entry door are very steep. It's best if you go through the entry door and go down to the basement and open that door before trying to carry in luggage. The stairs from the basement are more manageable. The roads to the cabin are mostly paved, which is awesome. The one-way setup with narrow ups and downs takes a bit of getting used to. It reminded us of a Rollercoaster where you just have to take it by faith that the rest of the track is over the hill, lol. It is a great detterent against speeding. The cabin is beautifully decorated with deer and bear decor. We especially loved the bear decor! The center deck is a nice place to eat breakfast and dinner and watch the deer eat their corn. There were also cardinals, blue jays, and a hummingbird that visited. There were 3 of us and our dog. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return again soon!

Adorable and perfect!

I rented this cabin for my daughter’s birthday weekend with her friends (teenagers) and it was absolutely perfect for us! The cabin was clean and orderly, and the owner is super sweet and responded to any questions very quickly. The kids really enjoyed the games (foosball, mini arcade games, dartboard, uno, and more). They especially loved the hot tub, which was plenty big enough for 4 teenagers. The fire pit in the back was awesome for them to make s’mores and plenty of firewood was supplied. We set up our projector outside also and watched a movie by the fire pit! The cabin was perfect for us to not be on top of each other but still cute and cozy with the fireplace on during breakfast at the table! We brought our pup and he was in heaven laying by the fireplace. The neighborhood is just adorable and pretty cool to drive through. It felt relaxing and in the woods but still not too far from a store for a grocery run. And the best part…all the deer we got to see!!! There was a bucket of corn on the deck to feed the deer and it worked!! They were constantly in the yard around the cabin and even walked right up while we were outside at the fire pit!! Definitely recommend this place!!

This cabin is amazing. It is on Eagle Mountain in the Coosawattee River resort. The drive to the cabin is beautiful. We love the two large porches with seasonal mountain views as well as seasonal river views but year-round river noise. The property is private. The hot tub is amazing as well as the fire pit area and it’s just perfect for a family to enjoy.

Coosawatee River resort is a gated community. There are lots of amenities such as workout facility, indoor and outdoor pools, game room, tennis courts. All of these amenities are at an additional fee. Pay at the Coosawattee River Resort Pool. Ellijay is a beautiful town with lots to do such as hiking, waterfalls and fishing. Downtown Ellijay has a cute town square with shops and restaurants. Blue Ridge is just a short drive away where are you can enjoy the train, shopping and hiking to waterfalls.
