MandeVilla Cottage at Ixora is a perfect for couples. Free standing cottage with amazing views and a 4 min. drive to Maho Bay Beach. Sunrise views of Coral Bay, and even the most amazing sunset view from the stone outdoor shower. Full kitchen to prepare meals and Weber gas grill. Washer Dryer and private parking space. Beautiful space to spend time on St.John.

My husband and I stayed at MandeVilla Cottage for our honeymoon and it was absolute perfection! We wanted to feel removed from the craziness and just have some time to unplug and unwind. The mornings were our favorite. Make a cup of coffee and sit out on the patio as the sun rising and the roosters are crowing. You literally wake up to a screensaver every day. It was the perfect accommodations for what we were looking for.Funny story and just a little warning to those that tend to shower as a couple. Be sure to not lock the door to the shower and then close it behind you. My husband, aka the naked Spider-Man to the locals now, had to scale the shower wall to go retrieve the extra key from the lock box. It was a little dicey for a bit trying to figure out how we were going to get out but now we have a hilarious story to share about our honeymoon adventures. This place, this island, its people made our honeymoon the biggest success. It was so hard to leave but we will for sure be back!

The house is perfect and the views are breathtaking! Arguably the best view on St John! Sunrises were amazing!The pool is not heated and we were unable to enjoy it because it was cold. it looked very nice.There’s no generator and we spent the last night in the dark when there was a power outage. But St John and the house are beautiful!

This is a beautiful cottage - perfect for me and my husband. We loved sitting on the patio enjoying the views every morning while drinking our coffee and watching the birds. It's a perfect location for getting to the North Shore beaches quickly and you can be at Maho in five minutes. We also prefer the Coral Bay side of the island and could be there in less than 10 minutes. Colombo's Smoothies is right at the bottom of the driveway too! The driveway is very steep, but we are used to that when staying in St. John. There was a minor issue with the water levels in the pool one morning, but I texted the management company and they sent someone over that day to fix it. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful view and location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views were amazing and it was very peaceful. The snacks from the Deli were delicious and a nice touch. The trade winds were blowing so no mosquitoes and we didn’t need to use the A/C at night. It was nice falling asleep with the breeze and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was breezy and the wind blew the shower stream around but the views from the shower were so beautiful! The pool was cold as mentioned in other reviews. It was too cold to use in the morning and evening. We were able to get in for a quick dip in the afternoon but it was too cold to stay long. A pool heater or solar cover would make this place perfect! The location was great for getting to the beaches, Coral Bay, and Cruz Bay. We had no problem with the driveway and our Jeep. Overall this place is great and Elian who was our local contact was very nice and helpful!

A little slice of paradise

Just a wonderful and comfortable place. Had all the kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils and cook wear. The view from every room was amazing ( Coral Bay). Great location to the beaches such as Trunk Bay. The pool was clean and had a ledge which you could sit in the water. Was very quiet at night and great for star gazing

Perfect!

This villa was absolutely perfect for the two of us! Location was great! Everything was exactly as described, kitchen well stocked, check-in was easy. And the views are incredible from every room including the outdoor shower! We would definitely choose this home again on a future visit.

Amazing view! Perfect place!

My wife and I spent 6 nights over the New year and absolutely loved our stay here. The view is phenomenal ( as advertised ) and the house was perfect. The management company was great and left some great treats in the fridge. We love Coral Bay and the location is great being so close to Maho and Coral Bay. Town ( Cruz Bay ) is about 20-25 mins away , which is fine with us , but if you want to eat out in Cruz Bay often , then maybe it’s not ideal for you . It was perfect for us though ( our 6th visit to St John ) because we like the east side quiet.The drive way is a little insane . You have to back up down an extremely steep driveway . Our jeep actually slid down for a few feet every time we went down. You had to really take your time and be very careful . Our jeep had horrible tires though ( bald as hell ) , so make sure you have a jeep with decent tire tread ( check your tire tread when you get your rental. Otherwise the place was absolutely perfect! I hope to return again ,,, with better jeep tires.

Great place to spend a milestone birthday

My wife & I spent just over a week and loved every moment. Everything was perfect, what an amazing view. Very comfortable with everything you could want. Hopefully we will be able to come back soon.

2nd time staying at Mandevilla

This was our second time staying here and it was just as nice as the first time! The pictures and all the other reviews are accurate, it’s a beautiful house with incredible views! The only thing I wish the house had is a pool heater. It gets a little chilly in the afternoon once the sun dips behind the house and shades the pool. We did lose power a couple times during our visit (absolutely not the fault of the property management company) but note that this house does not have battery backup or a generator. When the power goes out, you cannot use any water. During an extended outage, they did contact us and offer to bring us flashlights and bottled water if needed. It was a slight bummer, but there are worse places to be stuck with no power! Looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful!!

The house is in a beautiful spot. The pool is cool and refreshing. The AC blows cold if you need it but the breeze is all most will need.. EZ access to lots of great beaches. Maho is only 5 minutes and you will be swimming with the turtles. Management was the best I have dealt with. Owners are great too!! Thank you all!!

Beautiful cottage!

The house was lovely. Fully provisioned and extremely comfortable. The driveway was difficult, but that's to be expected on St. John. It was a bit chilly in the pool, but all-in-all, a lovely stay. Oh, and we couldn't get regular tv channels, which wouldn't have mattered except that there were football playoff games that we missed. But paradise nonetheless.

Driveway tips

The other reviews are true. What an amazing stay, and we hope to return. Driveway tips: turn your passenger side mirror down, so you could see the edge of the pavement. Cut hard to the right and expect to slide just a little bit at the beginning. Use your side mirrors to ease on down and out. Look to your right to make sure nobody’s coming down Ajax peak. Try to back into one of those spots at the entrance to Ajax Peak, and drive directly to Colombo's for a smoothie. Have Fun!!!!
