Private, cozy, modern cottage with towering redwoods, blue water views, a hot tub, and sunny, fenced yard located in Anchor Bay, walking distance to the Anchor Bay beach. Listen to sea lions barking & the sound of waves as you soak in the hot tub or relax on the sunny deck surrounded by redwoods. The house is modern & comfortable w/ 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath with amazing tub for soaking, a fully appointed kitchen, vaulted ceilings, sky lights & an open floor plan. Relax or work with great WIFI, a smart TV, gas fireplace, & tons of CHARM. Close to hiking & stores. Well behaved dogs allowed.

A super special place! It's clear the host has taken care in selecting and maintaining the art, furniture, linens, and kitchen items. This felt more like a home than a rental. We would stay again but would not bring our dogs - I should have paid more attention to the amount of stairs (our semi-elderly dog had a tough time). The upstairs fireplace stopped working but the host gave us an option for heat and showed genuine concern by offering a small refund. If/when we return, we will bring two pairs of slip-on shoes to make going outside a bit easier. Walking the dogs in the early morning was magical - the light pollution ban makes for a lovely stroll to the sound of sea lions.

It is a beautiful space with a well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was a nice bonus after our hike. The beds were plush and heat in the room kept us cozy. There are a lot of nice touches and it felt like home.

The property is nicer than the pictures in my opinion. Lots of nice lovely little touches like a nice tea pot and tea bags and a bunch of coffee with a pour over set up. The decor was really nice. My wife and I were trying to take notes for our own house. The vaulted ceiling and skylights were great.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is clean and conveniently located with a lot of amenities, including great Internet and a Smart TV that we could log into our own Netflix account on. A couple of things to be aware of: there are many stairs, both from the parking area to the house and from the bedroom/bathroom level to the kitchen/dining/living room on the second floor. Also, there is a deep bathtub, so it’s a long step down into and out of it (and no grab bar). Five Stars!

Lovely spot!

This was a very pleasant place. It was warm upstairs and cool downstairs, perfect for sleeping. There was artsy things everywhere, even after a few days something nice would surprise me. And the best restaurant for miles was within walking distance. Anchor Bay Thai. And the local convenience stores was nice, prepared food and a good produce section. Both were within a short walk tho it was uphill to get back.

Tree House

The house and area are beautiful, every view had the forest included, like living in a tree house. We were there for a local festival; the location was perfect. Lovely details in the home, comfortable and had all we needed.

Retirement vacay in California

The house was exactly as stated. It is pretty remote but there are day trips that can be done very easily. It is very relaxing and quiet. Could hear seals in the morning (wish I knew where they were at) and believe we heard a moose/elk? At night. Karen was great at promptly responding to our one issue. Thanks for a great stay.

Could not have been more perfect!

Fabulous location to explore this gorgeous stretch of California Coast. The cabin had an artsy vibe & a feeling of spaciousness while still being cozy. I loved the fact we could hear sea lions while soaking in the tub! The rental was sparkling clean upon our arrival and the kitchen thoughtfully stocked with everything one might need for food prep...so appreciated!!! Host Karen was wonderful in responding promptly to any inquiries we threw her way. 5 STARS!

Comfortable Art-Filled Cottage

Clean & cozy cottage in lovely setting among redwood trees with view of ocean. Art-filled decor, comfy furniture & excellent kitchen. Lots of stairs from driveway to front door & then between house’s two levels. Lovely small fenced garden sitting area worked well for our dog. Quiet neighborhood convenient to wonderful trails, stores and restaurants. Perfect place!

Vacation

The rental was perfect for us. Size and room setup. We used the kitchen. We loved the hot tub. Short walk to the beach, and a few shops, but a bit steep. Thanks for your hospitality and great directions to Bowling Ball Beach.

The Anchor Bay community is the best kept secret on the north Sonoma coast just north of Gualala. Known as the "banana belt" due to it's sunny weather, Anchor Bay offers a stunning beach, general store, coffee shop and amazing Thai food, all walking distance from the house.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Walking distance to the store, coffee shop, the Thai restaurant and the Anchor Bay beach. From the hot tub and deck you can hear the sounds of sea lions barking and crashing waves. Close to everything, but extremely private.
