The Space:

This oceanfront getaway features wide open living spaces, soaring ceilings, large windows, and plenty of amenities for a truly memorable stay at the coast. The home was hand-built by its owners, a father and son; the tile work and bathroom sinks, along with the art and pottery throughout, were the work of the late owner's wife. Prepare your favorite recipes in the well-equipped kitchen, then dine together at the adjacent table. In the evenings, or on lazy or rainy days, an inviting living area with a large flatscreen TV awaits. The upstairs bedroom includes a desk and chair in case you need to sneak off for remote work or schooling — with complimentary internet throughout. In whale season (December through April), the horizon puts on a show you can watch from the living room.



Sea Ranch is a planned, oceanside community boasting uniquely designed homes, the historic Sea Ranch Chapel, and a 50-mile trail system with multiple beach access points. Take morning walks down to Stengel Beach less than a mile north or Pebble Beach just over a mile south. Bring your clubs and tee off among the cypress at the Sea Ranch Golf Links five miles up the coast.

Guest Access:

This is your private retreat for the duration of your stay -- full run of the house. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.

Getting Around:

Sea Ranch is located on the Sonoma Coast, approximately 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highway 101 to Highway 1. The closest airport is Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area. The scenic drive along Highway 1 is part of the experience.

Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.
