Regarding the noise along Beach Road, as the main road on Siesta Key it does see a lot of activity, and during peak spring break season that energy really picks up on the weekends. We completely understand how that can be an adjustment and we appreciate you flagging it. As for the text you received, our homes are monitored by a noise monitoring system (Minut). This system measures decibel levels inside and outside of our homes. We put these devices in place to ensure our guests do not experience any unexpected visits from Sarasota Code Enforcement, and it ensures their protection in the event of a false complaint as well. Our team works closely with Sarasota County and the City of Sarasota to ensure our homes and our guests are complaint with local ordinances while still ensuring that our guests have the exact vacation full of fun and relaxation that they are expecting. The areas we focus primarily on are noise, trash, and parking. Our Minut sensors are located in the living room and outside near the Pool Patio, and each sensor has a max decibel threshold that is set based on our onsite testing at each home and for every sensor. When a threshold is exceeded, our guests receive a text to notify them that the decibel levels have been exceeded and they are at risk of a code compliance issue if the noise continues. We have tried to communicate this with all of our guests in various ways in our pre-arrival communications, as well as during our on-site walk through of the home on the day of your arrival with our guests. However, we will review this with our team today, and ensure that our Property Managers do not miss this talking point during our walk throughs because it sounds like that may have happened here – and for that we apologize. We’ll also look at our pre-arrival communications on this topic to see if we can improve anything there as well. Again, we are sorry for any lack of communication on this subject that occurred on our end, but we hope that the further explanation offers more clarity as to why you received a message from Minut.
