Flip Flop Inn on the Rainbow River 1/4 mile down from head waters

This beautiful rental features direct access to the stunning Rainbow River with steps right to the water. Spend your time enjoying the outdoors with our picnic table set, lawn chairs, wood burning firepit, and barbeque grill. The river is full of interesting things to do, like kayaking, boating, snorkeling, diving, floating, swimming and watching nature. This cozy home is perfect for large families, multiple families or just a couple's retreat. The master suite with river views includes a king size bed, walk in closet, and a bathroom complete with a large soaking tub and separate shower. The three guest bedrooms include a queen, a queen and two single beds. The living space seats six, dining table seats six, and a snack bar that seats two. The L shaped kitchen is equipped with a standard fridge, electric oven/stove, dish washer and dishes/ cooking ware. The home includes WIFI and two TVs with Roku.

The town of Dunnellon is only 5 miles away which offers a great historic district full of quaint little shops and unique eateries. Five miles downriver is the Withlacoochee River, a favorite of fisherman and airboat riders.

We had an amazing time! I have stayed twice in the last month because Juanita is an incredible host with excellent communication from start to finish. The house is very spacious, the rooms and beds are super comfortable, and the kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance you could possibly need. The location is perfect. A great yard, and we absolutely loved being able to walk right down the steps and straight into the Rainbow River. Such a peaceful and convenient spot. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again if available!

Juanita is an awesome host. We always have a positive experience staying at her house. It's perfect for a family group. We fished swam and enjoyed the fire pit. Will definitely be back

We enjoyed having access to the spring right outside! We paddle boarded all three days and loved swimming in the spring. Magical! House was just what we needed for a girls trip.

This is our second stay at the Flip Flop Inn and it is still just as amazing as the first time! The house has everything you could think of for an enjoyable time on the water. Steps right into the crystal clear river. Only 1/4 mile from rainbow river spring head. Easy to launch your own kayaks or tubes. The house is cozy and can accommodate quite a few people easily. Close to Winn Dixie, Walmart, Publix and the downtown antique areas. Highly recommend this rental!

We had the best time at the Flip Flop Inn! The house was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a great weekend on the Rainbow River. The private river access was perfect for launching our kayaks and jumping in for a swim. The hosts were amazing, so friendly and quick to respond to anything we needed. Already planning our next trip back!

My family loved this house it was nice it’s close to the water and in a good spot on the river. We had a very good trip to rainbow again and we would get this house again in the future!

Close to the head springs & away from the crowds :) We've stayed in this area several times with our crew & just love this home! Great place to stay if your priority is being on the water. We had adults and kids altogether for a long weekend of family play. Everything you could need. Lovely family rented next to us and it was perfect!

River Weekend

Great location!

Beautiful property in a great location for canoeing and kayaking to head springs. We enjoyed snorkeling and floating down the river to the house from the spring. Unfortunately the beds were not comfortable and there was no covered area facing the river where you could enjoy the outside when it rained. I thought from the pictures there was a covered porch. The bugs in the kitchen were annoying but we tried to focus on the beauty of the location, the great firepit and how quiet it was.

Rainbow River Escape!

We had a great time and enjoyed the river, it's location and the comfort of the home and amenities provided. It was better than expected. We had 9 people sleeping there at one time and everyone was comfortable and enjoyed themselves. We did it all, floated, relaxed in the back yard, played games, had a fire and so much fun!!

A very cute house directly on the river

We stayed on the river. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The master bed was very soft. The kitchen was well stocked. There was both a drip coffee maker and a keurig. The grill was charcoal. There were plenty of towels both bathroom and beach. There were a few floaties for the river. My only complaint was that we did not get our entry code until a few minutes before we were arriving, which made us very uncomfortable. We called vrbo and eventually got it. . I would stay again.very reasonable price.
