Enjoy the fresh air and peacefulness at our recently converted 1500 square-foot horse barn. Tucked away in the farming mountains of Southern California. Perfect weather for snowbirds looking to escape the winter cold.
Tastefully designed to reflect country living with hints of farm life, vintage furnishings, repurposed farm equipment & all that makes our area unique.
Enjoy the scenic drive along a meandering country road through tunnels of trees to arrive at the barn.
Explore local wineries, succulent growers, farms, hiking trails, horseback riding, balloon rides & much more within minutes of our barn. Easy day trips to the beach, San Diego and coastal towns like La Jolla and Del Mar.

This place is absolutely gorgeous ♥️ Everything was decorated with high end items- incredibly soft sheets, fresh fruit waiting for our mimosas and everything we needed for a perfect girls getaway!

We had an amazing time staying at this property. The property was clean and welcoming . The host made it special for us, she personalized our stay, made it extra special! Cynthia/host had excellent communication with us.It was a perfect weekend.

Beautiful get-away!

Highly recommend staying here! Super-clean and beautifully decorated. It is simply a very comfortable, bright, and cozy space to hang out in. The host is in adjacent house, provided helpful pre-stay communication, and very nice when we had occasion to meet. It’s clear they have put a lot of time and attention to ensure their guests have a great experience. We hope to come back to stay here again when we come back to visit family in the area.

Girls gettaway

Our stay was amazing! It poured rain the entire weekend but we didn’t care! We were so cozy and tucked in! With great views out of every window and the amazing decor we enjoyed this beautiful place! Cooked yummy meals in the beautiful kitchen and hand great drinks with the beautiful blood oranges provided from the farm! Would love to return!

11Night Stay in the Country

This property was accurately portrayed on the website. The location of the property was a short drive from Fallbrook and easily accessible to San Diego, Oceanside and Temecula. The setting was quiet, had a beautiful view of the hills and was conducive to neighborhood walks. The barndominium was very well appointed, spotless and brightly lit with sunlight! Our host, Cynthia, was very easily accessible and was able to answer our questions about the area. We lacked for nothing during our stay.

Wife getaway while husbands did fantasy football draft

This place was absolutely incredible. Not only was it clean and cozy, but Cynthia customized everything and made all of us girls feel so incredibly special. The views were amazing. The amenities were perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun staying in with my best friends. Thank you Cynthia!!!! You are truly a gem! We will be back! WWCD is now part of our everyday mantra.

Best friend getaway weekend

We wanted a cozy place to stay and make food and craft cocktails…. And this was it. Close to town but far enough to feel “ away”. Every detail was taken care of down to a yummy snack basket and a note personalized for us on an antique typewriter. The linens were top quality, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and the countryside was picture perfect. Birds chirping in the morning, owls at night…. You won’t be disappointed.

Luxury in the country

Cynthia was the consummate hostess and the Foal House was exactly as you see in the photos: exquisite, comforts of home, incredible attention to detail, relaxing, cozy! The kitchen was magnificently stocked. We didn’t cook there but we could have cooked our thanksgiving dinner there if we wanted to. There were 4+ ways to brew coffee, blankets to use anywhere in the house and to keep warm in the backyard and meditation garden! Bed linens and towels were fantastic quality! my teenagers loved the loft and the games supplied. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. Upon entering, you can tell that she has poured her heart and soul in this amazing property. Cheers!

Wedding weekend

This is the place that I dream of as I look for a home to stay in to get away from it all and enjoy myself and family. All the homey comforts but presented like an upscale hotel. The house is located in a beautiful hilly location down a winding mountain road. It is peacefully quiet. The host made this house a warm and welcoming place. It is beautifully decorated. So many things of interest to look at. Enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space for the family to sit together. Lovely back patio to enjoy the view. The beds were very comfortable and well stocked with a variety of blankets The host went above and beyond to make our stay good. She has set a bar that will make it difficult for us to stay anywhere else.

A great stay at the Foal House!

We had a wonderful stay at the Foal House! Cynthia has truly thought of everything her guests might need. The decor was adorable; down to the details! It had a fully stocked kitchen, with water for the keurig, seasonings, oils, different types of sweeteners, and fresh oranges and lemons from her trees. There was a sweet note left in the antique typewriter, welcoming each of us by name. There was a little basket of snacks. The beds were comfortable with fluffy blankets and pillows. There was a wonderful meditation garden where we enjoyed our morning coffee. So peaceful and comfortable. Our only wish was that there was a second bathroom, but we survived just fine with the one. We completely recommend this place and would happily return!

Over the Top Experience

We were so blown away by our stay at the Foal House. Such wonderful attention to detail that there is just not enough room to list all of them. It was well beyond "stocked" with everything you could possibly need. The special welcome message and treats kicked off our stay, especially the fruit for our cocktails. My 23 yr old daughter's comment was this place is more stocked that my own place. Cynthia has put her heart and sole into making your stay hear so delightful and peaceful. The drive might seem a little windy and or "out there" but it just prepares you to feel like you are truly away from the hustle and bustle of life. Loved the decor - felt Magnolia Farms and above. So many creature comforts. Perfect place to retreat to. We look forward to coming back soon.

Foal House is AMAZING!!

The pictures online do not do this property justice! It’s top - notch beautiful. The moment you step through the front door, you know you’re in a special place. The attention to detail, the repurposed relics….just everything makes you feel like this is what all properties should aspire to! And, Cynthia, the host, is fantastic. She really makes you feel at home: Her personalized welcome made us feel so important! I’d definitely book Foal House again, and again, and again!!
