Great quiet location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the beach view from our house. We enjoyed early morning and late afternoon walks on a quiet beach. Our dog specially loved it. Inside the house was well maintained with all amenities however the main door basement entrance,stairs and yard were not clean and need maintenance.

The location is amazing. The inside of the house was mostly clean, but the outside (including decks) was dirty and worn out.

This house was great as far as location we were able to be close to our family's home on the beach so going back and forth was great. It had a nice rooftop deck but otherwise it was not the best rental I’ve stayed at. When I arrived there were dirty rags from the cleaners left behind, the A/c upstairs was not great but could be blamed on the massive heat wave. But worst of all one of the bed frames was broken and unusable. My brother in law had to sleep on the floor. I contacted the rental company through the portal first thing the next morning (we didn’t want to deal with it late the night of their arrival). There was no response nor has there been since. We were fine since we mostly stayed at our family’s home down the block but I certainly have reservations about renting this property again.

Beach house

Great location for a quiet relaxing trip. Communication with rental agency was great. House needs a few updates, but overall was nice. 2 kitchens was a plus. Great views from the home, beach was clean and calm for the little kids. We did a bonfire on the beach, fished, swam!15-20 minutes to Rehobeth if you want to go into town or to outlets.

Broadkill Beach visit

This place felt like home at a beautiful and quiet location on the Delaware Bay. Appliances were mostly in good working condition, and views from the rooftop deck were stunning. The only disappointment was the new house under construction that did not appear in the listing closer to the beach and aligned perfectly to obstruct the sunrise view.

House Rental on Broadkill Beach

House was nice a few things were different from pictures didn't like that you went in garage area and then came out in the open area so if it rains you get wet a lot of levels and stairs. very nice views but property in front of house is for sale so the view would be gone if a house goes there.Our realtor was excellent as usual

Nice Stay Near Lewes

It was great to have this layout so people could spread out and feel comfortable. Areas was very quiet and views were very nice. Only downside was it was a bit hard to get to Lewes and Rehobeth from the property so everything we did took a little bit of time and lots of traffic. Just something to be prepared for but overall was a very nice stay.

Great Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Year #2 in a a row of staying in this unit! Very spacious and quiet location. Love the BKB corner store! I will say last year we experienced no mosquitos but this year, even walking to the car was terrible! The last night we were there, the aerial spray was done and by the morning we left there were no more bugs. Next year we may need to plan our stay around the spray schedule! We wish the screened porch was repaired/rescreened so we could have enjoyed more outdoor time. Truly created beautiful memories at this unit. Proximity to Rehoboth and Lewes made for a vast amount of activities!

I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent stay. While the ocean view, quiet atmosphere, and location were excellent, several issues with the property’s condition and amenities impacted our experience. Upon arrival, we noticed scuffs on the walls. More disappointingly, the grill had not been cleaned, which made cooking for Father’s Day difficult. We ended up cleaning it ourselves to ensure it was usable and to avoid any potential disputes regarding its condition.Additionally, there was a lack of clear communication regarding the outdoor shower. While I appreciate being notified that it would be unavailable on the first day, I was not informed that the repair would take two days. I had to call for an update, only to find it still broken upon returning on the second night so no outside shower but we did use the hose outside. Given the rental cost, I expected all listed amenities to be in good working order. I hope these maintenance issues, particularly the outdoor shower and the cleanliness of the grill, are addressed for future guests.Regarding our preparations bed sheets and towels are not provided so we bought the linen package. Although we brought our own houseware based on our reading of the rental policies, we noted that the house was already equipped with these items. On our departure date, we ensured the property was left clean and tidy by the 10:00 AM. While we enjoyed our time, there were several issues that were difficult to overlook.

I attempted to wash a dirty/moldy twin size blanket from the house. The washer wouldn't turn on and the door wouldn't open back up. The rental agent blamed the broken washer on me. He told me the washer couldn't hold something "that big" and that's why it broke. If you're not supposed to a wash blanket, there should be a note stating what you can or can't put in the washer. The rental agent told me I could go to the laundry mat while I'm on my vacation or ask for a refund. I chose the refund, which I never saw. I was surprised that kitchen on the 1st floor didn't have a dishwasher or microwave. Also, it would be nice if the sliders and windows had screens. But the much bigger problem of the house is the water damage and mold on the garage ceiling. The water is continuously leaking from the ceiling onto the garage floor. Apparently this has been going on for a long time because there's A LOT of mold on the ceiling of the garage! This really needs to be fixed immediately. It's a lovely home and we would love to stay here again, but this major problem needs to be fixed over the winter.

It sounds like you had quite a mixed experience with the vacation rental! While the property manager was helpful and the location was great, it’s understandable how the issues you mentioned, especially the washer and the water damage, really affected your stay. I'm happy to report that the washer and dryer have been replaced and the mildew removed from the garage ceiling.

The floor plan of the house was perfect for us. The vacation was good, except for my fishing trip at Fisherman's Wharf in Lewes, Delaware, where I paid 140 dollars for no fishing.I would recommend this place to stay in, quiet but near to things to do.

If you have another option don’t rent this house

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I felt like I was renting an Air BnB not one managed by a real estate company. The house was chintzy and there was a lot of damage when we got there. It doesn’t have the best access to the beach and while it claims to be “beach front” there is actually a lot in front of it so a house could go up at anytime. Pet friendly but not great for letting dogs out. The “enclosed” entry way actually doesn't have a closed in roof so if it rains everything gets wet and it really smells like low tide. Queen bed has a double mattress making master bed uncomfortable, upstairs washer didn’t work, and real estate agent wasn’t very empathetic, he just said “we don’t own it, we just rent it.” It was good enough but spend your money elsewhere.

Odd house but great 360 degree view from top deck

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Odd house with non-working door locks on master bath. Also the sliding glass door on the first floor had a broken lock and the exterior shower door lock was broken (so a total of 4 non-working locks) Rusted cutlery. No pans for cooking or decent cutting knives. Plastic plates, mugs and wine glasses. Altogether substandard accoutrements in kitchen. Lastly, there was construction on Bayfront and Bayshore which was noisy and unpleasant. Check construction status before you rent.
