Delaware Beach Bliss - étapes de la plage

Faites de superbes souvenirs de famille dans notre maison ensoleillée et contemporaine de Broadkill Beach, près de Lewes et de Rehoboth, à quelques pas de la plage. Remonter dans le temps. Broadkill est vierge, privée, et à côté du Prime Hook Nature Preserve. Golf à proximité aussi!
Explorez la région sur nos 4 vélos adultes et 2 vélos enfants (apportez vos casques). Détendez-vous et profitez de nos chaises longues, jouets et parasols! Essayez-vous au stand up paddleboard. Découvrez le banc de sable à marée basse et les grappes de petits bernard-l'ermite. La nuit à la lampe de poche, la marée basse est une toute autre expérience! Faire des S'mores sur la plage la nuit. Apportez votre équipement de pêche et faites griller votre prise ou votre repas simple sur notre grand pont avant en utilisant notre gril électrique. Notre cuisine est bien équipée avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin, y compris un nouveau poêle, une mijoteuse pour les repas faciles, et un mélangeur pour les smoothies! Apportez simplement vos ingrédients frais, vos draps et vos produits en papier. Il y a d'excellents restaurants, des concerts d'été gratuits le mercredi soir dans le parc et des antiquités dans la jolie ville de Milton, ainsi que des églises invitantes le dimanche matin. Un peu plus loin, explorez la ferme de lavande, en pleine floraison en juillet, et beaucoup de grands magasins.
Jouez à des jeux sur notre véranda arrière. Louez un kayak ou au Broadkill Store et lancez-le à la plage ou dans les eaux calmes de préservation pour la grande observation des oiseaux et de la nature. Visitez la brasserie éclectique et amusante de Dogfishhead et dégustez leurs bières, y compris la bière à base de racines pour les enfants et les jeunes de cœur. Souvenirs faits ici!
Nous sommes animaux de compagnie pour les animaux bien élevés et bien surveillés. Notre plage accepte les animaux de compagnie et permet également aux résidents et aux invités de tirer leur véhicule jusqu'à l'eau pour lancer leur petit bateau, mais vous ne le devinerez jamais à quel point c'est propre et paisible! Beach House

Airy house with lots of light, deck, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a few yards from the path to a private beach. Great location. Owner provided good bikes, cabana shade tent, beach chairs and a wheelie cart to bring everything over the dunes to the beach.

We had a nice vacation despite the weather. This house had everything we needed and more. We love how private the house was. The proximity to the beach was perfect. We love how laid back Broadkill Beach is. We will definitely be back.

Great, secluded beach location

After decades of trips to OC, Maryland and Rehobeth, Broadkill beach was a wonderful surprise! And this rental was perfect for our family. Lots of space, comfortable and clean. And we loved having our dogs with us!

Wonderful Family Vacation

My family of 6 adults and 1 dog had an amazing time at Delaware Beach Bliss....the house was the perfect beach house. It was a very short walk to the beautiful private beach. The house was very clean and well equipped. We never rented a beach house before and this vacation exceeded our expectations.

Super lovely beach house

The house is beautiful and really suited our needs (2 couples, a 3 year old, 1.5 year old, and newborn infant), very close to the beach. Host was super kind and responded really fast to our requests to change the thermostat temp in the house, which ended up being the perfect temp for the rest of our stay

Great getaway

We stayed at Beach Bliss for the weekend with 5 adults and one toddler - we couldn't have been more comfortable. The open house plan was great for a group and we loved being steps from the beach. Broadkill Beach is quiet, calm and the area offers plenty of nature walks - just what we wanted. We'll be back!

Everything was wonderful-even with the rain

Great house, everything you need. Has space to do family activities and have quiet time on your own. Beach so close and easy to get to we squeezed in walks in between the rain clouds. Easy drive to the board walk, restaurants and nature preserve. Would return for sure!!

So close to the beach

Great location, basically beachfront. Felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Newly remodeled house with very comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and well stocked kitchen. Close to Milton and Lewes. House needs some basic maintenance (blinds that need some repair, burned out lightbulbs, closet doors that don’t fully close, front door latch sticks a bit) but it didn’t keep us from really enjoying our week!

Great Family Beach House

We were very pleased with the beach house—spacious, easy access to the beach (100 steps to the path to the beach). Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, lots of beach accessories available (umbrellas, sand chairs, beach toys). Recommend you plan your meals in advance and bring some food because the only story has very limited stock, and the larger grocery stores are 30 min away. The Broadkill beach is private, well maintained, clean sand, not crowded, gentle waves lap against the beach—great for families, safe for children. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!

A getting to know the area visit

Even though my visit was in the middle of a blizzard in January I still found the experience and communication with the owner exceptional. The house is lovely and very close to the beach. That does make it clear that you can't see the beach from the house and I would definitely take that into consideration as I tend to be one who really needs to see the water. Beyond that, it was a wonderful experience!

It was a pleasure hosting you, Gwen! Check out my other property id 3597597 on Broadkill that is directly ON the sand and surf with views that leave me breathless. It is more pricey but it sounds like it might be well worth it for you : ). This one- 2 lots from the sand and surf- has some views of water and sky in the horizon as you go up the steps, or from the bedroom window at the top of the steps, which is the bedroom I choose in that house for the that reason! Very nice long weekend.

The whole process of selecting and booking the property went smoothly. Owner was very responsive every step of the way. Loved the location, as the property is an easy walking distance from the beach (3rd lot back). We were a party of 9 with one dog and it was a tight fit (we had 4 kids and 5 adults and our configuration didn't fit the available beds as well as we had hoped.) Loved all the windows, the private beach, and the fireplace was beautiful, although it was too hot out to use it. Would be nice if the driveway was wider.

Beautiful house and accommodations just steps from the beach

Delaware Beach Bliss is a truly beautiful and well maintained home. Spacious and airy. Bright and light - windows everywhere! Clean and welcoming with a sensitive touch of design. We had a truly wonderful stay and wished we had stayed longer! Beds are comfy and home was nice and clean when we came. The beach is clean and serene. We felt as though we were on a desert island! We just loved our stay in every way and can't wait to come back to Delaware Beach Bliss! The owner of the house is so nice and promptly answers any questions you may have.

Great spot!

We had a great time here between Christmas and New Years. We were looking for a location close to the beach (you are two houses away) - there's even a bit of a water view; with a fire place and a sunset view. We also needed family and pet friendly. The house is also really clean - very important! This house checked all of those boxes. The house is well equipped and the owners were super responsive. The location is nice and quiet in a beach type community. We really enjoyed exploring Lewes and the many dining options. We would come again as there was a lot more to do than we had time for! Relaxing get away home at Broadkill Beach

The house was really big and spacious. Very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The fireplace was wonderful. The neighborhood was nice and not commercial at all. It was located just 1 house away from the beach. So minimal car time. The only down sides to the rental were we had to bring our own sheets and towels which was inconvenient since we were on an extended trip and didn’t know until after we booked, and the house was chilly even after cranking up the heat. They do have space heaters that helped but the main room stayed chilly.( It didn’t help that it was 32 degrees outside! ).

Beach Bliss Lives Up to Name

Our family adored the peaceful location of this modern home at Broadkill Beach. The house was so spacious and well appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable (though the blinds had some minor issues). It was so nice to discover all the games in the closet. The house comes with chairs, umbrellas, a paddle board and kayak which was very convenient. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck in the morning reading, and gathered together under the at dinner. We did have some problems with the AC but that was due to the extreme heat. Pat was very responsive to our concerns and sent someone to check on it immediately. Due to the heat, the biting bugs were mighty after sunset, so no fire was possible. My favorite aspect was taking long walks on the quiet beaches. I highly recommend this lovely home would definitely return to Beach Bliss when the weather is a bit cooler in the spring or fall.

Gem of a location

We stayed here in July with a 2 year old, 2 teens and 6 adults, as well as a golden. All I can say is location, location, location! To get to the beach you only need to walk down the road past two houses, and then down a sandy path for about 150 steps. Definitely bring water shoes as this path can get extremely hot! There was only a few other families on the beach with us and we felt like we had our own private beach. Water was so gentle and the 2 year old could easily wade in and loved it. It felt like bath water! On some afternoons I was able to wade into the ocean over 300 feet and it was still only up to my waist. It felt like I was walking in the middle of the ocean! Coming back to the house after a day on the beach, we enjoyed gathering in the living room and eating together at either the large indoor or porch dining table. There was plenty of room for all of us. The outdoor shower was perfect. Kitchen had all of the essentials and Pat went out of her way to send a maid and maintenance person over during the week to ensure that the place was extra clean. We headed into Milton, Lewes and Rehobeth for meals. We went to the Rehobeth boardwalk one night and to Funland, which was fun but packed. Couldn't even see the sand on the beach it was so packed with pet. We were very happy to return to private broadkill beach where we could have bonfires, dogs, and privacy. Loved the paddle board in the storage area. Only suggestion would be to update mattresses. Can't wait to return!!!

Disappointing

Describing this as "steps from the beach" is an exaggeration, as noted in some other reviews. There are two lots between the house and the beach access entrance, and the beach path borders a third property on the way to the beach. The closely cropped photo of this beach path (titled "our beach path") is misleading- this neighborhood use path to the beach is much longer than what is pictured. Air conditioning for the house is uneven. The back bedroom on the first floor (with bunk bed) was hot and does not appear to have an A/C vent, while the other first floor bedroom was cold. While the kitchen was well stocked and the queen beds comfortable, other aspects were in need of care. The floor of the large deck had peeling paint. The umbrella for the large outdoor table was broken and appeared to have been that way for a while. The blinds in the bunk bedroom were badly tattered. The ground level storage was packed with equipment, not all of it in working condition. The kayak was great fun on the water, but the SUP couldn't be used because it took on water- looked like it was missing the drain plugs. Furniture in the great room has been updated from the photos, but still only comfortably sits six adults.

Sorry you were disappointed. This is the first I’ve heard. I would have loved the opportunity to make it all right for you while you were there! I need to know those things about the umbrella and sup so I can immediately replace and I would have done so right there. Am now. Ditto on deck maintenance though that is a matter of scheduling but soon!! ReThe description, it goes on to say “ 2 lots from the beach”. Where I come from that’s steps, but ok. Thanks for your feedback. We take it very seriously and will replace the shades where you describe they are tattered, the umbrella,sup, and cleaned out the beach closet immediately. I wish you had mentioned these items to us directly as we would have addressed right there. We suggest communicating this type of intel directly to owners when you see it and if not addressed timely then including it in a review. Thanks though for the info. We’re on it!

House was perfect for us!

We loved this house. Plenty big for 6 adults and 3 kids. Close to the beach which the kids loved! House has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. Would absolutely stay there again.

We love the proximity to the sand, contemporary feel, all the windows, the fireplace, and the fish over the fireplace. There's a view of the beach from the deck, and the house is very roomy. This is a very comfortable home for families and entertaining good friends. We have two kids and my best friend has two kids. Our two families are very comfortable at Bliss!
