Dream spot in Crete!

I have nothing but the most positive things to say about this property and the host! The location is so walkable to shops and restaurants. The space is stunning! Beautifully decorated and so full of history. Additionally, the host was so kind, helpful, and communicative. We could not have asked for a better spot and hope to return one day.

Amazing location, beautiful apt, and host was spectacular!

Our host communicated quickly and helped set up numerous things for us (several rides, wonderful spa day) and she even shared her hiking sticks when part of the family was going to hike the gorge. The location is very central -- port and many restaurants and shops in walking distance. The apt is absolutely beautiful and in wonderful condition with lovely courtyard, roof, and view of port. We hope to return to stay here again!

Jen and her family stayed in our home for 6 days! They were excellent guests who appreciated the area and respected our property leaving it clean and tidy upon their departure. I hope to see them again in the future. We strongly recommend them to other owners!!!

Beautiful Property

Property is exceptional. Beautiful high ceilings, wonderful interior design/accents, great amenities, AC and TVs in all rooms, large common area for everyone to gather comfortably, and great view of the harbor. Also, short walk to main shopping area. Perfect choice. Highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again!

Absolutely stunning apartment with an amazing view

This apartment was luxurious and perfect for our 3 night stay in Heraklion. It is within walking distance to everything and has the most amazing view of the port. My family loved staying there and we enjoying evenings eating both at the home and in the nearby cafes. I don’t think there is an apartment with a better view and the decks are perfect for watching the boats come in and out of the Heraklion port.

Perfect!

This VRBO was perfect in all aspects. Besides being beautiful, it was very clean, great location, amenities were as advertised. We were two families, so everyone had their own bedroom and private bathroom. Common areas were very large and comfortable. We have stayed in multiple VRBOs and this is our favorite by far! Highly recommend!

Oasis with a view

The moment we stepped into the beautiful courtyard we were transported into an idyllic oasis. The house combines the best of modernity (bathrooms & kitchen) while retaining authentic charm of Crete. The views of the harbor and Venetian fortress were amazing. The pictures truly do not do the house justice. The host was wonderful as well. We would definitely return here!

Unbelievable

This property is better than listed! The villa is extremely roomy and well laid out. Georgia, our host, thought of everything to make us comfortable. She was always available by text to answer questions and make recommendations for food, activities etc. The kitchen was fabulous, the patio was exotic and the rooftop view of the harbor was a spectacular bonus! We were located right in the middle of the city, but also had an unobstructed view of the historic harbor. Walking distance to anything we wanted to explore! Thanks, Georgia for a magical experience! Gorgeous place, great host

The place is better than advertised. It is really cute, and in a great location. There is a great view of the harbor from the master bedroom and the living room, and an even better view from the upper harbor deck. The place is also incredibly comfortable, with a nice kitchen, ample seating and smart TVs. Georgia responded rapidly, and made restaurant recommendations and reservations for us. We all loved it.

Spectacular home and perfect location

Casa del Sal is a dream home. From the time you walk down the narrow alley to this home and enter the small courtyard behind the entrance door, you feel that you are in a very special place. This is a home designed by an architect who saw its potential and worked over many years to use the original elements in the restoration of the building above the old Venetian dry dock to make it into a modern, light and spacious home. The bedrooms and baths like those in a fine hotel and the kitchen fully stocked for cooking, which we did after buying a fish fresh off the boat at the pier close by. The views of the harbor made it hard to leave the house. There was always something to see either from the balcony or the roof terrace. We would watch the sailboats return to this lovely harbor as the sun set, a feast for the eyes. The hostess, Georgia, was an amazing resource. She made dinner reservations for us, arranged for a guide for us for Knossos and came by to bring us typical pastries--delicious and plentiful. We have stayed at many VRBOs and are generally satisfied but not they are memorable. This home stands out as making our trip to Heraklion one we will treasure, not only for the city, it's history and wonderful food, but for the home itself. Five stars does not really tell the story of this house. It was a treat we will never forget. Thank you Georgia for your hospitality!

Wonderful

My clients were 110% in awe with every aspect of this property. The owner was very quick to respond anytime and was very caring. The location of the property is ideal for gorgeous views of the nearby water. We all recommend La Casa de Sal if you’re ever in the area!
