This (newly remodeled in 2024) private luxury mountain top cabin is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, boasts 270° views and is also home to a herd of (currently 10) adorable Fainting Goats (including 2 new babies in February 2024) located on the northern, southern, and western slopes overlooking the Cane River! They are all very friendly and love interacting with people, and yes they will "faint" if startled! Come and play with the Goats!!!

This sprawling 2.2-acre estate is located on its own mountaintop and is completely private, yet nearby so many must-see locations in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some examples are as follows:

Outside you will find a 270-degree wrap-around porch complete with rocking chairs on the covered front portion, and a 6-person wrought-iron brunch table with collapsible umbrella and 2-person rocking bench on the uncovered side. In the rear of the cabin you will find an additional covered porch with 2 chaise loungers with gas firepit overlooking mountain views and the new hot tub installed in 2021. There are 2 adjacent gas-powered heat flame lamps, along with a Swiss Grill stainless-steel gas grill and 4-person card table with cushioned swivel chairs. This space is perfect for star-gazing Burnsville's renowned dark skies, lounging with a good book, or enjoying happy hour with loved ones.

Take the stairs to below the covered deck leading to lower-level parking, new giant pergola with LED lighting and ceiling fans, and a new private flagstone and pea gravel patio boasting mountain views. On the patio there is one seating area with Trex chairs in the lounge area, and one Trex table and 2 chairs on the newly installed wood deck space.
New Tennessee Crab Orchard stone slab benches have just been installed under the grapevine with mountain views. Additional Stainless steel barbeque pit is located next to the patio if needed for larger groups.
There is also a beautiful covered stained wood gazebo near the front of the cabin overlooking the southern slope, goats, and incredible Mountain views.

Inside, there are plenty of options to accommodate the whole family or large group. As you enter the cabin you are greeted by the open floor plan dining room with wagon wheel table and matching oversized chairs, and the kitchen with GE stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and hammered copper farmhouse sink. Kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to stay in and cook, equipped with pots/pans, flatware, grilling utensils, measuring cups, cookie sheets, cutting boards, can openers, a toaster, and Keurig coffee maker. A limited number of K-cups for coffee will be provided in your starter/welcoming package. A drip coffee maker is also provided. NOTE: Ground coffee is not supplied. The adjacent great room boasts 17-foot exposed timber ceilings and a remote-controlled gas fireplace under a 65" flatscreen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. Lodge wall adornments include a Giant Moose, Bobcat, Brown Bear, and Mountain Lion. All three bathrooms and the lower level in the cabin were remodeled in 2021.

Hepa-filtered fan in closet.

2nd upper-level guest Queen bedroom:
10-foot exposed timber ceiling, Mountain views and beautiful furnishings, excellent new mattress, and adjacent shared full bathroom in hall. Hepa-filtered fan and space heater in closet. 32" flat screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Downstairs Guest Bedroom 1 with Kitchen 2:
The lower level of this cabin was completely renovated in 2021 to include a private bedroom with King size bed, 50" flat screen tv, amazing new mattress, beautiful new furniture, full laundry room in closet 1, extra storage with iron/board in closet 2, separate fully stocked kitchen with electric stove/cooktop, microwave, and breakfast nook, refrigerator/freezer, full bath with shower, and office nook with desk.

Downstairs Guest Bedroom 2 with Kitchen 2:
This bedroom (#5) was added in August 2023 which includes a leather couch with recliners, a living room space with gas fireplace and leather reclining couch and chair, rustic log bed and furniture with a 43" TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. This space is perfect for added privacy or segregation (if desired) from a large group. Living room/bedroom includes a new walkout sliding glass doors leading outside to lower-level parking area.

Other things to note:
For those interested in working remotely the cabin has excellent cell phone service and high-speed internet/WIFI throughout the house. The upstairs desk in the master or desk in the downstairs suite make for great spots to work from home. If you want to take in the beautiful mountain views while working, the back porch card table is also a great spot!
While we are both animal lovers and love pets, we unfortunately do not accept guest pets on the property for the safety of our goats. NOTE: A $750.00 non-refundable fee will be applied for those bringing pets onto the property.

The Burnsville area is a beautiful place to visit during every season. For those interested in visiting in winter (Dec-April), there is a fully paved neighborhood road coming in. It must be noted that the driveway is North facing and receives less sun, so if snow or ice is forecasted, we do recommend all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles.
