This is about 5th time to Paraiso

We love this resort. Truly one of a kind. Home owners association is doing an amazing job keeping the place running smoothly. This condo is getting a little tired but still very comfortable.

Like an all inclusive, but not.

It was a great place for a family. We were there for over 2 months and had all three adult children, spouses and grandchildren there at different times and it worked out very well. The pool and hot tubs are very close and it is only a short walk to the beach. At one end of the large pool is a restaurant and swim up bar. You have to take a little ferry to get to LaPaz, but they have shuttles that will take you and they run every 1/2 hour and they will also take you to the golf course, which has a restaurant as well.

Fantastic Resort

This property was way above the expected. Clean, friendly, relaxing, convenient amenities. The highlight was the pool and varying degrees of warmth hot tubs and the swim up pool bar with above par restaurant and stellar staff made leaving the resort to explore LaPaz difficult. Our family if 6 adults and 1 infant thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The 1 small item that needed fixing, washing machine, was repaired in no time and no inconvenience to us. The property manager was fabulous and made sure we had our grocery items waiting for us in the condo when we arrived. The very small fee for this service was well worth it. We will be back!!

Awesome getaway

We had an amazing time. We've been staying in Cabo for many years and wanted a change of scenery. The only thing I wish I would have understood better was the location of the property. I had a rental car and had planned to drive directly to the property, but discovered it was easier to use the water taxi service. This trip was very last minute or I would have done more research in advance. The location, although a little extra effort was needed to get to, was a great spot. The kids played in the pool all day and would explore the beach often. The condo was clean and spacious with great views of the ocean and pool area.

Peaceful setting

Beautiful n peaceful location!! Condo was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4 and could easily accommodate more people. Note that you have to take a short boat ride and shuttle to condo from the city of La Paz. We did not mind since we enjoyed the scenery and setting.

Spectacular!

Don't hesitate.... book this now! Just got home from 7 nights here with my husband, our 4 year old twins & our 6 yr old son... absolutely best family trip in the best accommodations ever! Super clean & comfortable. It was amazing all around & La Paz doesn't disappoint! Just don't leave anything outside your door at night. We left our flip flops by the door outside because they were very sandy from the beach & the next day we woke up to 3 out of 5 pairs of our flip flops gone. Also, we didn't have a great experience at the pool bar/restaurant. Other than those two issues, this place was totally worth it!

Lugar genial

El lugar se encuentra en una zona muy tranquila y privada, con instalaciones en buen estado en general, sólo que la alberca no contaba con climatización y el agua estaba para la gran mayoría muy fría y el departamento en si en buen estado y buena ubicación, excelente para pasar unos días tranquilos, lejos del ruido de la ciudad y el estrés.

Mexico Get Away

The unit was very comfortable and roomy for two couples. It could have been cleaner. And what's with those useless screens on the sliding doors? They did not function at all, looked terrible (very rusty) and some blew over in the wind so we had to prop them against the windows. The overall property is just lovely and well kept. The pool is very nice. The Survivor's Bar and Grill is five star.

La Paz, Paraiso with kids

We traveled to La Paz in February 2020. Two families with 5 kids. The condo is beautiful and spacious and the property is lovely but not child friendly. The other people at the resort are mainly seniors and that's who Paraiso caters to. Children under 16 are not allowed in the hot tub even when the other pools are cold and/ or not working and no one else is around. Children are allowed to swim in the main pool ( where they can't touch) without an adult but in the kiddie pool (where they can touch) an adult must be an arms length away. All these restrictions and feeling like our every move was being monitored by security, diminished our enjoyment of the place. If you have children I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

Beautiful Condo in paradise

My husband and I have been coming to Parasio Del Mar for years! My parents own in E building and we usually stay there but this year we had a larger group so we rented out Micheals condo! It’s very spacious and very clean and has everything you need to make your trip a breeze! They have updated the pool was cool which was perfect when it hit 28 degrees, and the kiddie pool is now heated which is an awesome feature for those of us with little ones! My daughter is almost 3 and we spend most days at the pool. The palapa has amazing cuisine, Sergio and his crew do an amazing job of bringing in fresh food each day and creating great dishes! Maude the building manager was a dream to work with, she put groceries into the condo upon arrival for a small fee which was super helpful! Parasio del Mel all around is a great spot for your getaway if you like a quiet, great service and want to be in a little slice of heaven, this spot is for you!

Roomy Condo with Room for Improvement

We were a family of seven adults in this spacious three bedroom condo and had plenty of room. Great view of the ocean and pool area. Plenty of things to do and see in La Paz only a short free ferry ride away. Loved the Malecon and the Local Anthropology Museum is a hidden gem. We did have some issues with the condo. The biggest safety issue is the stairs are very uneven in the stairwells, the risers ranging from 4 to 16 inches in height. Tread carefully! Unfortunately no warning signs. Inside the condo, there was a broken glass dresser top that was meant to be replaced the day we arrived, but took 4 days before someone finally came and took the broken pieces away. The floor was quite dirty when we arrived and there was food in the fridge that should have been thrown out. The dryer doesn't really work because it's not vented properly and the blender was leaking black goo. The resort store was out of water for 2 days. All the frying pans were warped. Nothing that a little TLC wouldn't take care of. The hot tub was often not very hot. Once it was completely cold. The swimming pool was not heated at all so we never used it, and I never saw anyone else use it either. The restaurant beside the pool served fairly standard american style pub fare and closes at 7pm. In general, the people we met were owners who were there for months at a time. Overall good value for a family group.

IncreĂ­ble estancia y lugar

Viajé con mi familia (3 hijos: 15,12 y 12) y nos encantó Paraíso del Mar. Maude Valdés nos trató increíble y nos ayudó en resolver cualquier duda y necesidad que tuvimos durante el viaje. Al llegar del aeropuerto ella ya nos esperaba en la marina para asistirnos en todo el proceso de llegada. El departamento fue muy cómodo y estaba en perfectas condiciones, todo funcionó perfecto. La vista al mar, la alberca, las bicis, el trayecto en bote de la marina a los condos fue algo siempre espectacular. El personal del los condos y del bar de la piscina siempre muy amables. Sin duda regresaremos lo mas pronto posible, fue una semana formidable que pasamos en familia.

Two couples that have been to La Paz four times ad love it

We absolutely love la paz and are coming back next year. We golf and the golf course is in great shape. Marco Maria ad Maryanne are so great at their jobs go out of their way to help you. The van drivers are amazing. Can't say enough that. Only thing is some of the towels do need to be replaced but other than that all good. We will be back. Great Stay

This community is quiet and beautiful. Maude, the property manager, is great. She provided us with a local cell phone to call transportation for the boat. She also went shopping for us prior to our arrival. You can walk along the beach for miles and not see a sole. It truly is amazing. It was great to arrive and not have to worry about grocery shopping. The pool bar is cheap and food is good. For my first visit to La Paz, I was impressed. I will definitely be returning.

Mixed experience - loved La Paz but communication and service related to this condo was not great

La Paz is wonderful and it was enjoyable staying in this little haven across from town. The condo complex overall is nice and we essentially had the beach to ourselves. (We were told most of the condos were full but it certainly didn't feel busy or crowded at all.) You can walk quite a long way (at least 2 miles) on it and the free access to kayaks and paddleboards was great. (The complex only has a few but hardly anyone seems to use them so we were able to access them each morning.) The pool is nice as well. The restaurant on the property has pretty limited hours (noon to 7pm, 6 days a week) so you do need to plan ahead a bit for meals and go to town for groceries and variety. The shuttle service to and from the water taxi is prompt and efficient (it's >1 mile walk from the condo to the dock so you have to plan ahead a little); the water taxi also ran on time (about 10 min trip). In terms of this particular unit and it's management, we were disappointed. We had no information about the specifics of our arrival (like where to meet the manager, get keys or other logistics) until about 36 hours prior to our arrival - and that was only after effort on our part to make contact. The directions we were given to the marina were poor (we drove up from Cabo San Lucas). On the night we checked in, the manager had only one working key card for the condo; we were told we would be given two others along with extra bottled water the next morning. We never heard from the manager again; we ended up having to go get key cards made ourselves later that day and the bottled water only showed up 2 days later. The condition of the condo was pretty good overall but, for the amount of money we paid, we expected something more -> for instance, there were towels that were clean but had tears and some of the bedding had stains. Overall we enjoyed our visit but are unlikely to use this particular condo unit or manager again.

family get together

We stayed in a spacious and clean third floor 3 bedroom for two weeks. Several friends and family members came and went in that time. The card reader keys were ideal and they had no problem getting us 4 instead of 2. There was a water issue during our stay, meaning we were asked to curb use if dishwasher and clothes washer but it wasn't terrible...who wants to do a lot of laundry anyway. We were able to find oars for the free kayaks , but it could have been problematic if we weren't a bit aggressive. There's a water treatment smell each morning for a few hours but it's only unpleasant and should not sway someone from staying here.

AMAZING STAY

Nothing to do with the condo: First of all we flew into SJD and rented a car from Dollar. Our only disappointment. Got a great pre-booking price for the car. However, they charged an additional fee per day for standard liability insurance (2x the listed) "It's because of the location and time of year". I read previous issues regarding the cost of insurance but was in no way expecting it to be that much as my confirmation stated $12-20 per day depending on the vehicle type (mine was a standard full size). There was no negotiating. STAY AWAY FROM DOLLAR!! The condo/La Paz: My family and I just returned from a 10 day stay in this spectacular condo at Paraiso Del Mar! We could not have been happier from the beautiful spacious condo to the wonderful resort, wonderful staff and the fabulous city of La Paz! We did not know what to expect with the resort being on a peninsula. However, with the efficient water taxis and vans which come to your door to take you to the boat slip, this only added to the entire ambiance of the resort!! The condo itself is so tastefully decorated and so well equipped with everything you could possibly need! We really appreciated the abundance of towels! The views from the balconies were simply amazing- we could see dolphins swimming everyday and kayaked with them on a couple of occasions. Maude, the manager was very easy to work with and communicate with. She even completed our grocery shopping prior to our arrival and it was all put away. Maude even purchased a BBQ for the patio!! La Paz is a lovely city with so many hole in the wall places to get absolutely delicious food!!! In fact the best and cheapest food we have ever had in all of Mexico! I could go on about all of the great restaurants but to just mention a few-there is the Rancho Viejo- unbelievable!! The burgers, burritos, chimicangas, shrimp tacos at Bandidos- fabulous!! The pool bar/restaurant had excellent drinks and food as well. They will even prepare a specific dinner for your party if you like or cook your catch of the day! Todos Santos is worth a visit- such a cute, quaint little artsy town. La Ventana worth a visit as well, not to mention all of the beautiful beaches that are close by. Try La Paz and try this amazing condo- fabulous vacation! Thank you Maude, you were great!! About the prior review, no ants, rare rusty water, DVD players worked with DVD's (not blue ray), van and water taxi not an issue, internet worked flawlessly in the condo

Family Xmas Vacation - not there again

I would not stay here again or recommend it. Our family was finally able to afford to get away together as a family of 5 - that can be challenging. Our children are 17, 3 and 1. My husband and I are both self employed and still needed to check in with work make this vacation possible. And this is what we encountered: No internet, no TV, no blu ray DVD player (to play the movies we had to buy), no telephone (to call the ground transportation), rusty water that never really went away, ants absolutely everywhere (toilet to the kitchen) and least important but one tiny couch that my family could not sit together on in the enormous condo. I also would not do another stay where I had to take a shuttle (which you have call - roaming international on your cell phone) to get to a boat to get to the mainland, only runs every half hour. Maybe because it was not during peek season that we the short end of the stick. The staff, people living there and La Paz itself was great. We will go to La Paz again, this was our 4th time.

Exactly what we wanted

We were 2 couples looking for sun (OK, not alot of that during our week) rest (alot of that) fun (alot of that) great food (definitely that). The condo is fabulous. I wish I could have taken the bed with me. The restaurant by the pool had exceptional food - even made special requests not on the menu. We were not able to get into town because of the wind a couple days but we didnt' care. We loved the water taxi - it added to the adventure. Maude arranged transportation with Mannie - he became our connection to fishing, shopping, sightseeing - whatever you need, everyone knows Mannie! I highly recommend using his service. I'm not sure why, but I had no problem getting internet service but my friends weren't able to on their computers. We got a cable in town and was able to watch Netflix movies on the TV from my computer. We would definitely like to go back - maybe the end of Jan or in Feb when the weather might be alittle better. Friday and Sat were perfect unfortunately we left on Sat. No predicting the weather. Locals said it is normally warmer this time of year.
