The house was beautiful and super clean. Everything we needed was there. We also loved how quiet and peaceful the area was. It made the whole trip feel really relaxing.

Perfection on every level! Great location and the house is designed and decorated beautifully. We went for spring break (two families of four) and everyone had plenty of space. Owners have literally thought of everything. Rhonda was a great host and very responsive with any questions we had. Would love to stay there again! Book it! You will not be disappointed.

Best place we’ve ever stayed!

This home was perfect for our family getaway! Huge, beautiful, brand new house with lots of rooms and beds, the arcade upstairs was great for the kids, the outdoor area with huge deck, bar, grill and to top it off the pool, were all amazing!

This house is everything as pictured, listed & then some! It’s beautiful, spotless, well kept & stocked with anything you might need and more! We had an amazing trip as a family swimming, fishing, boating & relaxing. We all agreed this is the best house we’ve rented so far & it will absolutely be the one we return to each time we visit Rockport.

Fabulous Family Home

Our grown kids and grandkids stayed for the week and it was a perfect layout with 3 king bedrooms and a bunk room. We all enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well. This is a lovely home!

Perfect Getaway

We spent the weekend with friends fishing from the dock, cooking and grilling great meals, watching movies, and loving the clean, comfortable, Seaside vibe of this great property. We can’t wait to go back!!

Great Rockport Getaway

We loved our stay. The home was in a perfect location with all the things that we needed for a lovely weekend of fishing. We were able to tie up our boat on the canal and the kids loved all the outdoor spaces too! Comfy beds and great layout for multiple families! We will be back!

Can’t say enough good things about the home as well as the host. The home is beautiful with so many amenities. Key Allegro/Rockport is a wonderful place to visit. The house showcases all the area has to offer with its decor as well as a massive deck for fishing, a swimming pool, outside living area, kayaks and paddle boards! Every detail was considered when designing and decorating this house! The host communicated well and was available when needed. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay!

Amazing property, perfect for multiple families

This was our second time staying at this amazing home. We come to Rockport for an annual family reunion and have 3 families staying here. The house is beautiful, clean and so well set up that the rest of the family wants to hang out with us. So highly recommended the Salty Dog!

Staying at the Salty Dog was the ultimate vacation experience. So much so, our preteen and teenager when at the Port Aransas Beach and touring the Lexington in Corpus couldn't wait to get back to the house to enjoy the pool, kayaking, and paddleboarding. This house is an "all-inclusive" resort in itself! Plenty of room for all the family to be comfortable, a well-equipped kitchen, and indoor and outdoor games to keep everyone happy. Comfortable beds and outdoor lounging furniture for adults to relax and enjoy the Gulf breeze and sights up and down the canal added to the "older folks" enjoyment. We have rented several homes from VRBO from Florida to Montana, the Salty Dog is absolutely "Top Dog"!

If I could give this property 10 stars, I would! What an amazing house. Great location, beautifully decorated, top of the line appliances, comfy beds, and great owners. We hope to come back to this house year after year!

Great Setup

Three days are not enough to use everything this house has to offer. Great dock for tying up a bay boat. This is a great options when visiting Rockport!

My husband and I are affectionally known as the "Chip & Jo" of our hometown! We own a construction company and love working on projects together (most of the time). I like to think we balance each other out pretty well since he's the math construction guy & I'm attempting to decorate a room before he's even finished. We have 3 daughters, and they keep us very busy with their activities, but we love to travel as a family and enjoy spending time together at our Rockport Home. We obviously also love dogs, and they tag along whenever they can, so we wanted to make the home as pet friendly as possible for your special friends too!

We started coming to Rockport a few years back to visit another family members home and always really enjoyed the vibe of the town. A couple years ago we began actively searching for a home and hit many dead ends. We just couldn't find one just right for our family & for rentals. Since we own a construction company, we just decided to go for it and build our own! This lot was a lot of fun to work with because in Key Allegro all the "fun" is in the back. Our canal footprint is quite large for a single lot and we took full advantage.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The Salty Dog offers all the fun in one location! Really comfortable living spaces for families to share inside as well all lots of room outside to spread out and have lots of fun! The home rental includes 2 stand up paddleboards & 2 kayaks as well as yard games to enjoy. The outside seating is really comfortable and relaxing, and each spot is so unique that I don't have a favorite one yet!
