My husband and I stayed here to visit Maine for the first time. The location was perfect; the bed was comfortable. We really didn't do any cooking; however, the kitchen had everything you would have needed if you did. The host, Kay, was very attentive. The home is not bougie; it is comfortable and clean. We would stay here again, but would love a big-screen TV upstairs if we had family with us.

We had a wonderful time staying at Kay's lovely home. The home is spacious and comfortable and the kitchen has everything that you need. There are beautiful views of the water. Even on the hottest days (which reached into the 90s) the house was cool and comfortable and there were lovely breezes down near the water.

This is a very nice house with lots of space and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped. The house is right on a tidal river so the river empties out at low tide. Paddling at high tide was delightful. We love that it was dog friendly. The owner gave us a wonderful list of nearby restaurants, food shopping, hiking and biking options. Rockland is just up the road and is a sweet town with lots of galleries and shops. Don’t miss the Farnsworth Museum. I would definitely come back.

The house was very comfortable for us. Kay was helpful with good information about the area and even helped hook us up with a local birding group. We loved the location for access to the water, restaurants, lobsters and oysters, and spectacular sunsets.We spent a month and it went by quickly. Hope to return soon.

This is a beautiful house on a tidal river near South Thomaston. We enjoyed the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, big dining table, and comfortable bedrooms. We launched our boats from the floating dock in front of the house. We had to be mindful of the tidal level to paddle, as it was a mud flat at low tide. We also had wonderful biking trips on the quiet roads in the area. A bike trip over to Clark Island to swim in the quarry was a highlight. Also visited Ash Point and Owl's Head by bike.There was a big deck to sit out on. A big rhododendron blocks the view of the ocean from the deck, but there are great views from all the rooms. The sunset is stunning.The upstairs suite has a beautiful sitting area and fabulous views.Overall, it was a roomy, comfortable house for our group of six.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. First time staying in this location and was so close to everything!! Home was comfortable and perfect for the 4 of us and our dog...beautiful views as well. Would highly recommend!

We thought our stay was ideal. The house is spacious with comfortable furnishings, good beds and an easy to cook in kitchen. The location is so picturesque with a nice yard, water access although in snowy December we weren’t taking advantage of that.Kay is very helpful and responsive. It was a lovely spot for our family Christmas.

Family Maine Trip

Location-wise, the house couldn't be topped. Centrally located to every place that we wanted to visit. Kay was also very accomodating when our party unexpectedly grew, Overall, a great location!
