Hop aboard the private neighborhood tram - Yes, a tram! - And let it whisk you gently down to the lake like a secret passage to paradise. Dip your toes in the surf, let the breeze tangle your hair, and stay until the sun paints the sky in sherbet hues before sinking behind the water in a grand golden finale.



When the adventure bug bites, you’re perfectly placed to explore the countryside’s best kept secrets. Wander through the orchards of Virtue Cider, where the breeze smells like apples and wildflowers, or spend a lazy afternoon sipping cherry wine under the pergolas at Cogdal Vineyards. For a bubbly twist, Three Blondes Brewing always has something quirky on tap - The perfect pit stop after a beach day.



Back at The OAR-Chard House, lake-chic charm meets cozy comfort in all the right ways. Step inside to sun-soaked hardwood floors and a living room dressed in the softest seaside blues - The kind that whisper, “take a deep breath, you’re here now.” Curl up with a book, queue up a movie marathon, or simply let your shoulders drop as the fireplace flickers nearby.



The kitchen is ready to cast its own spells - With sparkling granite counters, tall cabinetry, and an island built for pancake flipping and late-night storytelling. Whip up a summer spread with fresh finds from the South Haven Farm Market, or treat the kids to a popcorn party thanks to the charming little popcorn station tucked nearby.



Upstairs and down, each bedroom feels like its own little hideaway. The primary suite is a cozy harbor, complete with a walk-in closet, en suite bath, and a big comfy bed calling your name. The kids' room? A whimsical world of bunk beds, books, and imagination - Where sleepovers stretch late and giggles are the only soundtrack. Upstairs, a dreamy queen suite and a nautical loft room round out the story, with fluffy pillows, breezy windows, and just enough seaglass sparkle to lull you into lake-town bliss.



Step outside and the magic continues. The entry mudroom opens into a screened-in porch, perfect for morning coffee from Café Julia or an evening sip of Warner Vineyards rosé. Rinse the beach sand from your toes in the outdoor shower, light up the fire pit for gooey marshmallow fun, and let the kids swing their hearts out as fireflies begin to twinkle.

The Neighborhood:

Miami Park is a lakefront neighborhood perched on a bluff along Lake Michigan, north of downtown South Haven. The association maintains a stairway and motorized tram (elevator) from the top of the bluff down to the shoreline. With gravel roads, deer and turkey this is a wonderful blend of being remote while featuring beautiful homes. With access to the shoreline, stunning sunsets from the bluff and a lovely drive along Blue Star highway to South Haven or Saugatuck, this is a fantastic location for your home base during your visit.

Pets: Pets are not allowed at this property

Beach Access: Neighborhood provides private tram-system to access private community beach

*Miami Park Shoreline: The shoreline at Miami Park can change from season to season. As of late August, the trams bring you down to an sandy area above the waterline, with stairs & steps into the lake at either end of the sandy area

Tram Access: Electric trams are available along the bluff to traverse the 90 foot bluff. The trams are maintained by the neighborhood association, and Shores cannot guarantee that trams will be fully functional every day of your stay. The association may need to close the trams to address repairs, routine maintenance or recharging the batteries that provide the power to move the platforms. Guests are asked to follow the tram operating instructions so the trams stay operational for everyone in the neighborhood

We're available in-person Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, to assist guests in planning their South Haven vacation and providing insider tips for an authentic local experience.



For our incoming guests:



Prior to your arrival you will receive all pertinent check-in information communicated via email and mobile SMS messaging, as well as a local destination guide with our personal recommendations on local eats and activities in the area.



We provide an after-hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text for non-emergency issues.
