We liked the access and the parking. The cabin appearance was pleasing and well kept. The beds were comfortable and most everything was on one floor. While enjoying a glass of wine, I listened to the peaceful songbirds; it was tranquil. Distance to Somerset shopping and restaurants was reasonable. The cabin was clean and contained suitable storage for groceries and personal items. The supply of utensils, appliances, cookware was nice. We had a nice stay.
Access to the cabin entrance door, for anyone with physical limitations, would not be easy, due to the steps. My wife, with emphysema, had a hard time. A hard rain, our last night, caused water to enter through the garage door and flood the basement, and soak some personal items. I believe that is fixable. Raccoons got into the trash containers and left a mess. Better receptacles could be made available. I liked the 2 full baths. The one in the basement was easy to access. The extra bed in the basement was a pleasant surprise. That makes it a 7-guest cabin. The pizza pan was too large for the oven, as the door would not close unless forced. We could not see the lake due to the tree leaves. An unfortunate location hazard. I am sure you can during the winter months. The firepit was fun, the first night, but it was too hot and humid, or raining, the other 3 nights. We had to bring firewood. It would've been nice if that was replenished after the previous guests have left. Our stay, for the most part, was enjoyable and peaceful.
