Welcome to The Walden at Harble Ridge! This newly renovated, two bedroom cabin is the perfect getaway for some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Walden is minutes from some of the best Hocking Hills hiking trails as well as grocery stores and local restaurants.

As you enter The Walden you will be surrounded by everything you need during your stay. A fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals and dine together. The Walden includes a dining table for 6, a full size oven and stove, crock pot, microwave, full cookware set, utensils, coffee maker, microwave, and much more. There is a full size gas grill located just off the kitchen on the back porch, propane is provided.

As you continue to the living area you will have a gas fireplace and a 50"TV surrounded by a large leather sofa and loveseat. The perfect spot to cuddle up with friends for a movie or to chat by the fire. The front of the cabin features a large picture window with beautiful views of the pond and surrounding forest.

The Walden's first bedroom features a large king bed with a memory foam mattress. The second bedroom includes a queen bed and a set of bunk beds with twin XL mattresses. All beds include hotel quality, luxury linens.

The full bath includes a tub/shower combination. We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, along with bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths. Additional hot tub towels are also provided.

The front porch is another favorite spot at The Walden. With a private hot tub, rocking chairs and a large glider, everyone will enjoy the views and time spent together here. Just off the porch is a fire pit with seating along with a picnic table.

Continue on to the large pond just a few yards from your front steps. The pond is stocked for catch and release fishing and offers a great spot for bird watching and relaxing walks.

Please note - The Walden at Harble Ridge shares our 20 acre property with 1 other cabin so we do ask that all guests observe quiet hours from 11:00pm to 8:00am to ensure the peaceful enjoyment of all guests at Harble Ridge. The minimum age to rent The Walden at Harble Ridge is 25 years old. We do have one camera on the property driveway for security purposes. A rental agreement and age verification are required before arrival.

Great stay!

We enjoyed the cabin and it’s location in relation to all of the hikes in Hocking Hills. We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub nightly and playing the games provided. Our kids really enjoyed the arcade games.

Great location, close to everything we wanted to see. Beds were super comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Hocking Hills area that wants a clean, quiet, comfortable stay.

Pretty clean plates had looked like bacon grease on three of them i washed them all. Hot tub jets on one side dosen't work. Garbage can was full we took our garbage home with us. All in all it was ok stay but what we got was little pricey.

Overall everything was great! Only recommendation, which was a big decision on why we picked this property was the pond to fish, buy some carp to eat up that algae. Hard to fish with so much algae.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! There were a couple very minor things: there were only three hot tub towels (four of us) and no firewood available at the property (but available within about ten minutes’ drive). The beds were SUPER comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. My kids enjoyed the fire pit, pond and arcade system. I’d recommend!

Perfect for a small family

The cabin was easy to get to, easy to check in. I loved the Guide Center! The cabin was clean and ready for us when we arrived. My son loves fishing at the pond and even caught a small mouth bass. Hot tub was warm and clean, only had one hot tub towel but we made due. Relaxing and peaceful! Great location from all the attractions. When we arrived the internet wasn’t working but it was easy to contact the owner, who was quick to text back with a solution. Highly recommend this cabin for a peaceful and relaxing time away. We really enjoyed our stay. Our kids didn’t want to leave! Thanks again!

Memorial Day Weekend

Beds were comfortable, they have firewood at the house for purchase, and close to most hiking areas. The outside porch could have used a little cleaning up, everything was covered in dirt and pollen. The dock on the pond was unusable due to being completely covered in goose poop. We never saw any geese the whole weekend but it was everywhere and all around it in the grass. You do share the pond with the other larger cabin they own. The kitchen could use a few extra things…maybe a skillet to cook bacon and pancakes on as the pans are very small. A scrub brush or more kitchen washcloths to wash dishes with (you have to wash all dishes/put away wipe everything down before you leave and empty all trash) - only one hand towel and a very large washcloth was available. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Amazing cabin

Very clean, secluded property but close enough to whatever you needed. Love the bunk beds for kids! Highly recommend for families coming to Hocking Hills! Would return again.

Remodel in perfect location

We truly had a great stay at the Walden. The 2 top reasons I picked this property was LOCATION and KING bed. The remodel made the place feel brand new. My husband (and kids) loved the retro-new arcade machine and I loved the kiosk with access to recommendations to the area. We traveled with 3 kids, so the 2nd bedroom with the bunks and queen bed were perfect. Thanks for the great stay, the cherry on the top of the beauty of Hocking Hills!!

So serene!

We loved the quiet and serenity of this property! House was immaculate, with beautiful features in the kitchen! We spent every morning having coffee on the back deck. Perfect location: close to everything while providing a quiet environment!
