Nature and Mountain view

A wonderful place in the nature and a hot tub on the deck to die for!
The cottage is located in the beautiful nature at our farm Eskiholt. The cottage is on one floor and has a sundeck with table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view. We have been hosting guest from all over the world for a few years and it has been a great time. We are farmers and breed horses and goats and we have a dog and two cats on our farm. Our guests have enjoyed the beautiful nature and mountain view. Nearest town is Borgarnes 10 km away.

Quiet cabin with beautiful view

This cabin makes great use of space and we had a wonderful time with our 2 kids. The hot tub has an amazing view and although there are nearby cabins, it felt very peaceful.

Quiet getaway and Great Host!

I stayed here two nights and the property was warm and clean. The hot tub was excellent for relaxing in the cold windy evenings and the mountain views were great. Birna had excellent communication and was a great host. Overall a fantastic stay for a couple of nights near Borgarnes.

Nice cottage

The cottage was cozy and clean. It seems quite new, everything was in good working order. It is about 10km outside of the town of Borganes and the owner provided very clear instructions for getting there. The highlight for us was the hot tub, outdoors with a great view of the mountains and far enough from neighbors to have nice privacy. We would definitely recommend this place.

Cozy and Accomodating

This property offered all the right amenities. It was comfortable, cozy, and accommodating. It will hold two adults and one or two children comfortably. However, if you are traveling with more people, there is another unit right next to it that might be useful. It is more utilitarian than luxurious, but it is a clean and perfect stopover when traveling.

Peaceful and cozy

This is a cozy property located within easy distance of Borganes, Iceland. It’s a small cabin that was more than sufficient for two adults in our party. The bathroom was on the small side but again manageable. Birna was a great hostess and very responsive. One word of caution - bring your own toiletries such as soap and shampoo. It was our impression that Icelandic tradition is a bit different from American in that respect, as we experienced this in other places we stayed too. The cabin afforded beautiful views of northern lights. It’s situated well away from city lights and the night skies are gorgeous.

Small, a bit difficult to find

For 4 adults this is a very small space. I tuink it’s a better space for 2 or maybe 3 adults with all their luggage etc. could be excellent for family of 4- 2 adults and 2 kids under 16 yo. We had difficulty finding the accommodations in part because in directions the cabin is described as being on left side of road when it is actually on the RIGHT side. Hopefully our host will correct those directions. I would not plan to prepare an evening meal here - the kitchen is not a full kitchen.

Very nice comfortable stay

This was a little confusing to find a few drive ways were tried before we reached the top of the hill. The pod sits on the RIGHT not left side and is more like 600 meters from main road. It is a nice cozy space and pretty well furnished. Could of used a few more kitchen items like a mixing bowl and more utensils for cooking. Did need to do some google research on how to use some of the applications that were furnished. But that adventure was easy and educational. Would of been better if we could of used the hot tub the first night after our arrival was not up to heat yet. The second night we were able to sit in it and watch a beautiful display of northern lights. Our third night was just a great soak to finish the trip. I don’t provide 5 stars unless a place is above and beyond my expectations. This pod was wonderful and had everything it said, meeting my expectations,hence 4 stars.

Schönes kleines Cottage mit sehr netter Vermieterin

Schönes kleines Cottage mit guter Verkehrsanbindung um auf die Halbinsel Snaefellsnes oder zu den Hraunfossar zu fahren. Auch Thingvellir von hier aus gut zu erreichen. Alles mit Pkw. Uns persönlich hat ein Backofen gefehlt.

Great place

This was a great cabin off the highway. Everything was as expected. My kids had a great time exploring the area. Even got to see the northern lights with little to no light pollution.

Wonderful stay

We had a great stay here. The location is beautiful, with sweeping views of the valley and mountains and just a few min ride to downtown Borgarnes. The cabin was clean, quiet, cozy, and it had everything we needed. Definitely recommend!
