Cabine de luxe avec vue panoramique sur les montagnes, près de Snaefellsnes. Jacuzzi :)

Bienvenue dans notre maison d'été de luxe sur 93 m2 ou 1001 pi2 situé près de la magnifique village Borgarnes.
La maison d'été est nouvellement construit en 2007 et dispose de 3 chambres. Dans deux chambres sont des lits doubles et un est un lit superposé pleine grandeur. Nous avons aussi un lit portable pour un enfant. 6 personnes peuvent facilement invité dans la maison. Le salon dispose d'un grand canapé, des installations modernes et des meubles. Il est directement relié à la salle à manger et la cuisine.
La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec réfrigérateur, congélateur, four, lave-vaisselle, cuisinière, micro-ondes et autres équipements. Dans la salle de bain est une machine toilettes, douche et lavage.
Sur la terrasse il ya un gril à gaz, meubles de jardin et un bain à remous.

La maison est non loin de lieux étonnants "must see" tels que Snæfellsnes parc national, il a été élu l'un des ** ** Islande Top Five à visiter. Là, vous pouvez profiter le glacier Snæfellsjökull, et il est dans la nature magique et remarquable.
La maison est une heure de route au nord de la capitale Reykjavík et à 10 minutes de Borgarnes. Dans Borgarnes vous pouvez aller à l'une des plus belles piscines de natation en Islande, jouer au golf à Hamarsvöllur, visiter le grand centre de règlement où vous pouvez en apprendre davantage sur la culture et la saga islandaise, aller au pub et magasinez à la boutique Bonus de grocary pas cher.
Stykkishólmur est d'environ 60 minutes en voiture, là, vous pouvez faire de la voile, Whale whatching et profiter oiseau whatching paradis.
Il est à seulement 60 min en voiture sur le Cercle d'or à veiw la grande Gullfoss et Geysir la source chaude. Egalement sur le Cercle d'Or, vous trouverez l'endroit hystorical Thingvellir (Þingvellir):
L'emplacement de la maison est exelant, si vous êtes goint au nord Akureyri et il est à mi-chemin entre les deux grands parcs nationaux, Snæfellsnes et parc national de Thingvellir et une seule de notre de notre capitale, Reykjavik.

What a lovely cabin! Our family of 6 fit comfortably here. This was a perfect base for exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and Silver Circle attractions. We loved the added benefit of the hot tub and having a clean, comfortable spot to relax that had clear views of the sky. The host was extremely helpful communicating back and forth. We did have a 4WD vehicle, but I don't expect one would be necessary to get to the cabin except after heavy snow. We'd stay here again.

Perfect place!

After staying in Reykjavik for two nights, this was the perfect place to stay away from the city, yet centrally located to many major sites. The hot tub was a perfect place to relax in afte a long day's journey. The owner is a sweetheart and takes great pride in making this a home away from home.

Erla's house has everything you need for a perfect family vacation. It's close to a town with good restaurants and supermarkets, and some incredible natural places of interest are less than half an hour away. There was a problem with the toilet when we arrived, and within half an hour the host and a plumber were there to fix it! The hot tub is wonderful, the house is cozy and the beds are so very comfortable. I would highly recommend this lovely home in the country. And the views (see photo below) from the house are incredible!!!

Charming house with lovely views all around

The property was ideal for our small group of friends and provided an excellent base for exploring Borgarfjordur and Snaefellsnes areas. We especially enjoyed the views from the house and the spacious living area. The location was very convenient, not too far off the main road, yet very quiet and rural. Erla was helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. We would certainly recommend a stay at Storaborg.

This charming cottage is quintessentially Iceland!

We loved this sweet cottage. The view of the snow capped mountains was breathtaking. Furniture was comfortable and dining table great for meals and playing card games. Beds were comfortable and we all slept likes babies! The area was perfect for exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Erla, the owner, was helpful and fun! We enjoyed a glass of wine with her.

Great Holiday Base

Warm, comfortable and well-equipped summerhouse which is in a great location for exploring the western side of Iceland. The mountain views from the front of the property are wonderful and the hot tub is a great place to relax after a days sightseeing. We are a family of five with three teenage children - and despite it being a compact property it never felt crowded. Highly recommended. Thank you Erla!

Cozy Cottage

Erla's cozy red cottage was in the perfect place for us to get to after arriving early in Reykjavik. We were easily able to get to the things we wanted to see and do...Borgarnes and the Snefellsnes Penn. The house was spotless, the living area was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We so enjoyed the hot tub after a long day witnessing the magic of Iceland. We would have stayed longer if there had been more days available.

Perfect for a family adventure!

Erla's house was perfect for our 5 day trip to Iceland! we explored all over West Iceland and had a warm and snug place to return to. The kitchen was well equipped and we used it to make most of our meals. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed the hot tub on the back porch after a long day exploring. The washer was invaluable after walking in snow, lava fields and across streams. Erla gave us some great advice on local attractions and was an excellent hostess. You can't go wrong with this cabin.

A quiet cottage that feels like Iceland

This was an amazing place to stay off the beaten path in the nature of Iceland. There were five people in our group (including kids aged 9 and 7). It’s fairly secluded, but also about 10 mins to a grocery store, which really helped us control our food budget.The house was very clean, with all the amenities we needed for our stay. The washer and dryer worked very well and the beds were comfortable. The kids really enjoyed exploring the various flowers and trees located around the property. There is access to some of the traditional streaming platforms and they even have DVDs with entertainment for kids and adults alike. Be sure to sign the guest book!

Nice stay, a few hiccups

The property appears to be secluded in the pictures however there are houses all around, they just took pictures which hid them. There was no coffee so make sure to bring your own. We also lost all hot water after two showers and didn't get any back for 36 hours. That was rather unfortunate and uncomfortable as some of us ended up taking cold showers until the problem was resolved.

Thank you for your review Leslie, I am sorry that you thought the house was the only house in the area. And I am also sorry that you thought that we provided coffee for our guests, it is not common in Icelandic summerhouses. I wish you had contacted me immediately when you noticed that you had run out of hot water. (The reason was that the heat control switch had turned off and therefore there was no electricity to the hot water tank it was easy to fix that. ) I would had entered the house immediately as I did when you noticed me about the hot water. It takes time to heat 200 liters and if two persons use 200 liters for a shower I can imagine it was inconvenient for full house of people . (NB you had booked the house for only one person ) Luckely you were lucky to see the great Northern lights and I thank you fore the picture you sent me. Best regards Erla

A Delightful and Magical Experience!

We had such a delightful stay in this adorable cottage! ~ Erla was a wonderful host, even meeting us when we arrived and checking in on us via e-mail during our stay. ~ The location was perfect for seeing the Northern Lights (which we saw twice during our week there) - and for accessing all the major sights in West Iceland. ~ The cottage, itself, was simply adorable! The beds were very comfortable - and the living room, kitchen, and dining area provided just the right space we needed to relax and make ourselves "at home." ~ We also loved the many artistic touches throughout the house, giving it an artsy-feel. ~ The cottage is well-insulated and very soundly-built, which is ideal for those strong Icelandic winds! ~ Thank you, Erla, for a delightful and magical experience! We truly enjoyed our winter stay in your lovely cabin - and hope to return soon for a summer visit!

This place was amazing. Was a great place to stay while we wanted to explore the west coast while also trying to make it back to Reykjavik on our last day. The host was extremely communicative and timely with her responses. Easy to access and find - although it’s worth trying to find the location before it gets completely dark since it’s off in a remote area without lamp posts. Note: Google maps will put the pin in the wrong location so following the host’s specific instructions is the way to go. The property was well equipped with kitchen and living essentials. It was cozy, well decorated, and comfortable. We loved the hot tub. We loved how it felt like we were in our own paradise. It felt like there was a lot of privacy as well. No fuss check in and check out process too. We came to Iceland purposely in March to experience the northern lights. This property is situated in a remote area where IF there’s aurora borealis activity AND good visibility, there’s no reason why you can’t see it. Sure enough we did the first night we checked in. We had panoramic views due to the nature of the cottage’s architecture where it’s easy to walk around the property. We had a great time - thank you!

Fantastic Cabin, Lovely Location

We so enjoyed our stay at this cottage - watching the northern lights from the warmth of the cozy hot tub was the highlight of our time in Iceland. The home is clean, well-appointed, conveniently close to markets/restaurants and made a perfect base from which to explore the island. A 5-star experience all-around.

Lovely homebase for breathtaking Iceland

Upon arrival to Borgarnes, we struggled to find the property (likely because of sleep deprivation). Erla was quick to the rescue meeting us in town, and guiding us there. The lovely 3-bedroom home had everything my family (3 kids) needed. The washing machine as a bonus, and the clothesline on the deck made everything smell fresh! Highly recommend.

Wonderful and well- appointed family home

We had a wonderful three days here, it is in a wonderful location and we were able to access many wonderful sightseeing spots within an hour of the house.
