Une merveilleuse escapade estivale, cette maison spacieuse est idéale pour les familles qui souhaitent échapper à un coin spécial de Nantucket. La maison peut accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes selon les arrangements de sommeil. 3 chambres à coucher: Spacieuse chambre queen w / TV à écran plat et placards doubles. Chambre double est idéal pour les enfants avec un lit superposé, lit double w / lit gigogne sous et deux grands placards. Les deux chambres partagent une salle de bain impeccable avec douche / vanité et décrochage. De l'autre côté de la maison, la grande chambre principale a un lit king size, une télévision à écran plat, un dressing, une salle de bain complète en suite et un loft de bureau sur la terrasse extérieure. La cuisine entièrement équipée dispose d'un bar et donne sur la salle à manger pouvant accueillir 8 personnes confortablement à la grande table de campagne. Le salon ouvert a de hauts plafonds, un foyer au bois et deux coins salons, tous deux avec vue sur la télévision à écran plat et la cuisine. Loft hors salon avec escalier en colimaçon est un lieu de rencontre idéal pour les enfants pour la télévision, des jeux. puzzles, lecture. La grande terrasse extérieure est parfaite pour les repas en plein air. Grand jardin manucuré, aussi!

Notre maison est dans un quartier calme et familial. Une cour entoure la maison. Marchez jusqu'à la plage la plus proche ou partez à la découverte de nouvelles!

Another great stay at Shooting Star!!

This was my second time staying at the amazing Shooting Star! This is an amazing house in a quiet neighborhood, just a five minute walk from Madaket Beach and Millies. The home is kept immaculate and the owners are very nice and communicative. Willdefinitely be back again!

Madaket family vacation

Fantastic location Walkable to beach and Millie’s for dinner or just an ice cream. The house was quite spacious for all seven of us. Well stocked kitchen. We loved the outdoor shower. Big beautiful windows and a great deck out front. We did bring a car to make travel easy around the island. Would love to go here again!

Madakat Retreat

We have been to Nantucket multiple times and we have always stayed in town. This trywe decided to try something different and stay out in Madakat. We loved it. Lots of outdoor private space easy walk to the beach and Millie’s. We enjoyed walking to the beach at night for sunsets and coffee in the morning. Life is slower than being in town and yet town is just an easy drive away. House has all the amenities you need.

We are so grateful to have stayed in this very special home! Shooting Star is perfectly charming and incredibly comfortable. We wanted for nothing. The beach was a beautiful 5 minute walk down the road. We loved walking to Millie’s for dinner or just ice cream. While the weather was a bit overcast and rainy for some of our stay, it was so cozy to snuggle up on the couch with a good book. This was the most relaxing vacation thus far and we cannot wait to return. Many thanks to Susanna and her family!!

Perfect Getaway!

Our party had great experiences through VRBO previously but nothing compared to this house - super cozy and immaculately clean! The house had everything and more for a week vacation! Location absolutely perfect in Madaket - stunning and quiet area and very close to the beach - we watched incredible sunsets every single day! Susanna was very responsive and accommodating! We all had incredible time and we can't wait to return to the Shooting Star next year!

This Madaket beach house exceeded all our expectations

Shooting Star is a large spacious home 3 to 4 minutes walk from the beach. The house is well presented, scrupulously clean and stocked with everything you could need and more. The outdoor shower was such a bonus for our family of 6 adults travelling with a toddler. Susanna was easy to contact and dealt with any queries immediately. We all loved our stay & would recommend this amazing property to anyone.

Fell in love with Madaket

Our stay at Shooting Star was amazing! While we’ve visited Nantucket many times before, this was our first time staying in Madaket and it definitely won’t be our last. The house was gorgeous and only a minutes walk to the beach. It had all sorts of chairs, umbrellas and beach gear so we didn’t need to bring our own. The house was light, bright and breezy and perfectly fit my family of four, my parents and sister. So many cozy places to play games or take naps. Loved sitting out on the decks and loved the quiet neighborhood. Also enjoyed a daily 10 mile bike ride on the bike path which is right around the corner. The perfect spot for a week’s worth of family memories!

A space for everyone

Great house in that there are multiple gathering places, or places to escape each other and read a book or nap. Madaket is nice as it is away from the bustle of downtown, but not too far away in that a car ride is easy enough. Walk down to the nearby beach is <5 min; bike ride to Millie's Market is quick enough too.

This house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Madaket is a quiet beautiful area. House is a close walk to the beach. Susanna is a great host who communicates well and was terrific to work with. Highly recommend.

Great family vacation

Our family had a great time in this home. Our kids loved playing in the yard and walking a few minutes each morning to see the seals swimming in the ocean. It was a short drive to town and new beaches that we wanted to try. Susanna was a wonderful host and very attentive to anything we might have needed. We loved our time in Madaket and hope to book another stay next summer!

Wonderful Vacation Home!

Great Madaket Home!!

My family and I stayed at this wonderful property for a week in early July 2017. We loved the layout of this house with its open living and kitchen area and spacious bedrooms. We originally were worried that the house did not have air conditioners, but no need to worry, we always had beautiful ocean breeze and the home has plenty of fans. The separate laundry room, fully stocked with beach towels and an extra bathroom was very convenient. The house is stocked with everything you need, beach chairs, great beach umbrellas, bicycles, even an extra cooler. I would highly recommend this house to any family looking to rent in beautiful Madaket! The house is only a short walk to private beach. The yard is beautifully maintained and the house is very private! The home owners responded quickly to one issue with had with trash pickup. If we vacation again in Nantucket, I will look at renting this house again!! Overall a great property all the way around !!!

We bought our house in Madaket after years of renting in Wauwinet at the very other side of the island. Madaket has a fun vibe that's great for families. It also has lots of pristine beaches. We like to go to the one down our street and then also explore the local roads to find access to the other ones that are more hidden but still close by. When it's open, we love going to Smith's Point, too, because you get an ocean beach and a harbor beach and it's great for picking up some scallop shells.
We also love the history in Nantucket - all the old homes - and the unique shops and fine dining. What's great about the island is that for all it stays the same, it's always changing, and there's always something going on in town. For a week's vacation for both relaxing and sightseeing there's no place we'd rather be in the summer! We're into our second decade of summering in Nantucket and still loving it! We bet you will, too!

What makes our house special is that it feels like a real home, but it's so close to the beach that it has the personality of a beach house, too. It's fun and casual and easy to live in, not fussy. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy all the island has to offer. We hope you will try it and agree!
