Can you imagine just sitting on the large deck and taking in a serene forested mountain view, amazed by the wonderful starry night sky, lounging by the fire next to your friends and family, or taking in the local ATV trails? Welcome to Apache Rose where this dream can be reality. This newly built 5-bedroom lodge is located just off Maitland road and roughly 6 miles into Downtown Deadwood, located on a hillside property overlooking the valley below. You'll be in the heart of the Black Hills recreational corridor just outside of Deadwood/Lead area and have great access to ATV trails, local restaurants/casinos/nightlife, and grocery stores. You're even just 15 minutes over to Spearfish Canyon with its amazing fly fishing for trout, windy scenic drives and waterfall views, and easy access over to Spearfish. You're also just an hour's drive from major attractions like Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, Black Elk Peak (previously Harney Peak), and more!

Whether you're planning to visit the area for some peace and quiet, local trail riding, skiing at Terry Peak, some nights in Deadwood enjoying the food and casinos, or a National Park tour, a stay at Apache Rose will make for the perfect base camp.

After your adventurous days, coming home to your own serene getaway is sure to be the best part of your vacation. With over 2100 sq. ft. of living space and large deck with a view, there's plenty of space to spread out for your group of up to 12 family/friends/colleagues. Inside you'll find a great room with floor-to-ceiling windows into the living area with a gas fireplace. The living area seamlessly connects to the open kitchen and dining area, making it great for entertaining as well. Upstairs there's a loft with a great view out of the huge windows and 2 bedrooms. As you head to the lower level, you'll find 2 more bedrooms, a cozy living area with TV and fireplace and a foosball table for those fun nights in! The lower-level living area walks-out to a covered patio as well!

You'll also have a 2-stall garage you get access to, and enough parking for a trailer or two. The driveway is really private making you feel like you're away from it all!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well-appointed. Good for big group, with spacious common area to be together, and nice bedrooms for more solitude, with comfy beds. View was everything I hoped and felt very private. But I did notice a house is being built right across the street, so may not stay private. Fooseball table was something we were looking forward to, but there was no ball, and manager never answered my texts asking for one :(

Slice of Heaven

The beautiful home and location was perfect for a quiet, cozy retreat while still being close enough to town if needing to run to the store. A great place to enjoy walks in nature, see and hear wildlife, snuggle up on the couch with the fireplace and watch beautiful sunsets on the deck. I’ve stayed here on a solo trip for peace and also hosting a house full of girlfriends. It was the perfect home for both. This is my number one vacation rental and I plan to return more frequently. Can’t forget the breathtaking views from the kitchen/livingroom!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, the view was awesome and the design layout was ideal for hosting a large group. Unfortunately,there were some things that did not meet my expectations.1.Gas to the lodge was turned off for 24+ hours. I had to reach out to the property manager twice to get the gas company there to turn back on.2.Water filter in the fridge needed to be changed.3.Coffee pot needed to be cleaned.4.Ran out of paper towels.5.Ran out of trash bags.6.Kitchen cabinet under sink was broken/loose.7.Water bottle in dispenser in kitchen was empty.8.Two of the island bar stools were broken.9.One of the dining chairs was broken.10.One of the wheels on the gas grill was broken.11.Propane tank was empty for grill.12.The grill was filthy.13.Propane tank for the fireplace table was almost empty.14.Three light bulbs were burnt out in the master bathroom.15.Two light bulbs were burnt out in one of the upstairs bedrooms.16.There was a hole in the wall at the bottom of the basement stairs.17.Towel racks in all bathrooms were loose.18.Gutters were full of pine needles.19.Multiple closet bifold doors are missing the knobs.20.Multiple wasp nests on the exterior.If the property was well maintained and these items were cared for I would recommend this property to a friend or family.

Great view. Descent location.

Amazing place to stay with a great view. I've seen other people complain about cleanliness and i thought it was fine. This house is located about 4 miles from pavement on a hilly gravel road so motorcycle guys be aware. Driving it in a car is no big deal the road and driveway are well graveled.

Family Trail Riding Getaway

Beautiful home with plenty of privacy. Comfortably housed a party of 10. Home was fully stocked with towels, kitchenware and extra linens. Property was close to Deadwood, Lead, and many trailheads. Would highly recommend this property. Will definitely book again.

Rooms are spacious, great layout and incredible deck. The only thing that could be improved would be the cleaning services. Prior trash had not been taken out, and it appeared the floors/bathrooms had not been cleaned or dusted. Overall, it was wonderful and would stay here again!

Location is great for sxs riding between Spearfish and Deadwood/Lead area. The driveway is a challenge if you’re coming with long trailers but it’s doable if you have some skills. 😉 bummed we won’t be able to rent this place in the future.

It rained a lot while we were there. The driveway and yard were nothing but mud. When we arrived the garage was covered with dried mud that we tried to clean up. It is a nice place but if it’s raining be prepared for the mess

This place is very remote, need 4wd in the winter for sure. It need a good cleaning. Was disappointed in the over-all cleanliness. We had to vaccume and dust the main bedroom. There were left over toys and months of dirt and garbage under the couches. This is the first time we have had problems and was kinda sad that it happened.

Family get away

Budi was great to work with. We were short on dishwashing pods and they were delivered to our door within hours! Thank you! The area was very private and is what we wanted. House is beautiful. The drawbacks were the owners did not want to provide deck furniture despite asking several times for it, it’s unfortunate as the detail of the listing In The first sentence indicates you will enjoy the view “sitting” on the deck, yet no deck furniture is provided. So very misleading. Well stocked kitchen, fireplace did not light. House was dusty,, light fixtures and mirrors not clean. Throw Rugs were dirty.

Beautiful home in beautiful setting

Enjoyed our stay at the house. It was a little curvy getting to the house, but it was worth it for the view. Kitchen was well supplied. The home is very roomy which was great for four couples. The only advice I would give is to get patio furniture for the deck. It is beautiful, but need seating to enjoy it.

The place was amazing. Wildlife everywhere. Just wish there was patio furniture to sit on the deck and enjoy the outside. The driveway is a little sketchy for a motorcycle, especially after a rain.
