Quick trip to Up North MI

Unit was great, well stocked. Just know this is a downstairs unit and it was tricky for my mother inlaw with bad knees. But overall a great place and would go back.

Nice condo close to everything

Great property. Down the hill a bit so no view of lake Bellaire from the deck. Condo was clean and nice, pool was very close and nice. Beach club was great and close to the golf courses and restaurants. Cable was less than basic... Couldn't even watch The Open. (no USA channel). Otherwise a great trip and location!

Gross/ outdated/ nothing works. Don’t stay here.

This VRBO was the worst VRBO I have ever stayed in. The furniture was all broken and out dated. The kitchen table had a leg that was collapsed. The chair had a broken bottom. The sink dripped. The kitchen was NOT stocked. There was one small pot and two sauté pans. The utensils were so old the plastic would melt while cooking. There were 6 small glasses for drinking. The tv in the main room only had 4 channels. It was NOT a smart TV. The TV’s in the bedroom did not work because of the internet. The internet MAYBE worked 30% of the time. The door lock was broke. It was also falsely advertised. There is one king bed and two double beds. If you enjoy waking up without a stiff back or feeling like you slept on metal springs all night……this place is not for you. The pool that you have access to is freezing and maybe has 4 chairs to sit in. It was dirty and just overall not worth the cost. There are much better places to stay at Shanty.

Hi Katelyn Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of your issues. Maintenance did address the issues you called about: the string on the blinds had come loose, they reattached, the sink you thought was leaking was not, you hadn't turned it off completely, the TV has full Charter cable (we wished you would have asked if you did not know how to use it). You did not alert us to needing any dishes or pans replaced. We would have certainly brought you new ones if we had known. Internet is Shanty Creek Resort internet and we have no control over their signal. It is always beneficial when a guest lets us know if something is not right. That allows us to address the issue while they are here so their stay is more comfortable. We hope in the future you find something more appropriate for you.

I wish I would have considered the negative review a little bit more when booking this Vrbo. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely could have been better. If you’re staying with children like we did (4 & 6) just know there’s not one single kids channel available on the tv if you needed a show. And I tried to find one. The WiFi also lags if you try to use a tablet for the kids. There was hair in the jacuzzi jets from a previous guest, piece of carpet missing, stained pillow case. The bathroom sink still drips water constantly like a previous review said. The dishes had to be washed before we could use them, which wasn’t a huge deal, but if you know people are booking why wouldn’t they be cleaned well? The furniture is so old and outdated and the beds could be upgraded too. I’d bring your own pillows and blankets for the beds. Everything is thin and old with the blankets. Really for what we paid there’s no reason the inside couldn’t be a little more updated. I wish the description had actually stated we didn’t have access to a lot of the shanty creek resort. It’s really only the one outdoor pool and the beach club. If you’re looking for just a place to sleep this Vrbo works. But if you want something a little more updated and nicer then I would look elsewhere. We did enjoy our stay because we didn’t stay at the Vrbo for a huge part of the day, but it’s definitely a 3/5 place to stay,

Traverse city get away

The condo was in a great location to bellaire where we golfed. Some of the living room furniture should be replaced especially the chair. Bathrooms were clean and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed

Great for small family getaway

We had a great time staying in this rental. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The pool right next to the rental was not ready yet but my kids enjoyed the jacuzzi. We were able to get a guest pass and use the infoor facilities but ran out of time. Overall, great place!
