Remodeled 4 bedroom - 5 beds 2 full baths house 10 miles to Ft. Lauderdale beach

VeVe did texted us on the VRBO app, said no big deal just letting you know that there are some flies in the laundry room. We responded within a few minutes of the text, apologized, asked for pictures of the flies and also said we would send our property manager out right away to take corrective action, reimburse for the can of RAID purchased , all of this communication on the VRBO APP. We did not receive a response until the stay was over and the guest asked for a $100.00 refund for inconvenience of flies. We declined to reimburse the $100.00, the guest said we would be reviewed for this. Our cleaners and property manager were there within minutes of the guest leaving and found no evidence of any flies, this made us assume that the RAID took care of any fly issues that the guest was experiencing. and we were surprised that the guest was asking for $100.00 refund. We found the property was in good order and no issues from this guest. It was unfortunate to make the complaint and not give us the opportunity to correct an issue until you leave and want a money refund. We have never had a complaint of any type of insects and our property is on regular maintenance pest control with pest control services in Florida. We do apologize that we could not resolve this with you while you were present at the property as we surely would of had you responded to our attempt to take action while you were there.
