Slip off your shoes, pour your favorite drink, and settle into river life. Nestled along Sycamore Creek near the Cumberland River, The Riverhouse Escape is where peaceful mornings, star-filled nights, and waterfront adventures come together, just 30 minutes from downtown Nashville.

Less than a mile away, you’ll find the scenic Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail, complete with a trestle bridge and beautiful river views — perfect for walking, biking, e-biking, or simply taking it all in. And if city life calls, downtown Nashville is only about 30 minutes away, making it easy for the music lovers in your group to enjoy all the excitement the city has to offer before returning to the calm of the river.

A public boat launch is conveniently located less than ¼ mile away. Guests also have access to a kayak, an extra-wide two-person paddleboard, and multiple outdoor living spaces — including a fire pit with metal rocking chairs, a covered porch with rockers, a grill-side pergola, and even an outdoor shower for the more adventurous guests.

Inside, the home features two comfortable bedrooms — a king suite downstairs and a queen bedroom upstairs — along with a newly updated bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. The downstairs living area includes a bar and record player, creating the perfect space for music, cocktails, conversation, and winding down after a day on the water.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was very relaxing and comfortable. Very cute furnishings and the hostess was attentive to our questions. Would definately recommend.

A great weekend!

This property was perfect for what we needed! It was super clean and is so nice! The owner was very responsive when we had questions or concerns and made sure that our stay was a great one! It had everything that we needed and more! We would definitely stay here again if the need arose!

Property is very well maintained and clean. Loved being able to sit outside and watch the river and boats go by. Owner was very easy to communicate with any time we had questions. Husband and I enjoyed our stay very much a great place to get away.

Weekend with the leaves

It was the perfect place to come home too after a day of sightseeing. Beds were so comfortable. Loved the balcony and the view facing the river. We will go back and stay longer to utilize all the amenities available such as kitchen outside!

Beautiful site!

Loved the property - it was so beautiful and peaceful. Leaves were still changing colors, river/lake is so pretty behind the house. The house was perfect for us - Melisa even double checked what they had to be sure we had or brought everything we needed to cook a family Thanksgiving! While house is set up for about 4 people, we had 7 of us for dinner and it was perfect! Beds were comfy, lots of nice towels, throws to snuggle on the couch with. We'll be back!

Honeymoon getaway

Lighten your step

Whether drinking coffee on the porch in the mornings or gathering in the gazebo by the grill in the evenings we thoroughly enjoyed this property. Lots of thoughtful touches and accent lighting. Especially smart to provide lights on all stairs on an unfamiliar property.

Perfect relaxing sister getaway

This is the PERFECT spot for a relaxing weekend! The first thing you notice is the picturesque outdoor setup right beside the River. There are plenty of spots to choose to lounge- around the fire pit, under the porch, the upstairs porch, by the outdoor kitchen, or (like we did) bring your camp chairs and sit out on the dock! The kayak was an added bonus and was a fun morning workout! We sat outside and read for the whole weekend, but inside was perfect, too! The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfy, and it is so clean! If I could live here, I would! Host was quickly responsive.
