Deep Roots Retreat, a historic home with a story to tell. Originally a 1900 two-room Cedar Hill School, this space has evolved through five generations of family history. Crafted by my grandfather, the home exudes warmth with custom cabinets and shelving. Each corner holds the echoes of laughter, tears, and celebrations, creating an authentic and loving atmosphere. Granny's legacy lives on, especially in the kitchen where her biscuit cutters proudly hang. I could not have enjoyed this house more! It was very rural which is a definite plus for me. The beds were amazing! We had a carton of fresh eggs on the table. Anything and everything you would need in the kitchen. Although this place was in a rural area it was very easy to get to anywhere you wanted to go. Definitely recommend a lengthy stay here as you won’t want to leave! Thank you so much for letting us experience your home!

Great Tennessee Get-away

We had a wonderful stay at Deep Roots Retreat. This is a wonderfully decorated home with all the conveniences. Especially loved the coffee bar. The location is ideal, close to hiking trails and beautifully situated in the Tennessee hill country. I highly recommend this property.

A Little Slice of Heaven!

We stayed with our family and dogs for a week in July and had the most wonderful, relaxing time. The property is gorgeous, and the hosts were so thoughtful, providing us with farm fresh eggs, coffee, and any toiletries we accidentally forgot. 10/10 would stay again :)

Family Farmhouse

We had a lovely time, the farm house is exactly what we were looking to capture. Sweet touches with local Tennessee sweet treats, fresh flowers and country eggs. What more can you ask, they welcomed our Puppy Loretta Lynn and she was very happy as well.

Weekend Vacation

This was our 2nd stay at this super cute house and we were not disappointed. We had the best time with our friends sitting on the deck listening to nature every night. It was more than comfortable for our group to spend most of the weekend just hanging out there. The kitchen had everything we needed for making meals, plus coffee and creamers that were just a very nice bonus. It was very clean and well taken care of and Alicia seems to take care in having pretty much anything stocked that you may forget at home or need. We like to try different things and places, but I believe this place will be a place we continue to return to.

Beautiful Farmhouse

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely farmhouse! It was quiet and peaceful with no traffic on the road. The beds were very comfortable and the home was beautifully decorated, cozy, and the perfect place to stay while in the Nashville area for a few days. Close to a state park and the Harpeth River and not far from restaurants and shops in the Bellevue area. Host was very responsive with great communication. We felt right at home. Highly recommend!

We restored it with a lot of care, keeping its history while making it a comfortable place to truly relax. We love hosting because we know how special it feels to arrive somewhere and immediately slow down. Our goal is for guests to feel welcome, settled, and at home from the moment they walk in.
