We are Beach Vacation Getaways of St. George Island, Florida. We are Local and Personal!

Welcome to "Turtles Cove" a High end Custom built home over looking the Apalachicola Bay and St. George Island Bridge.

This home Sleeps 16 Adults in Beds and Features a Private Guest Cottage up in the air, with its own private porch for viewing the Sunsets! Enjoy countless sunsets from 1 of 7 different porches of this custom home. (2 screened and 5 covered!)

The decor and furnishings in this home are Amazing!! Home has never been on the rental market until now, and was built and used only by a private owner until now. Home has an Elevator that access all 3 floors from Ground level to Top Level. 3 privately screened in areas ensure your family is free from bugs to watch the sunset, have dinner on the porch, sit by the portable fireplace, or Enjoy an evening by the Screened in Pool area.

The Main Living floor features an Open and modern concept Living, Dining, and Kitchen area.

This was the most beautiful home to stay for our family’s beach week together! The views were breathtaking and it was an absolutely perfect choice for our stay! The home was clean and in the best location. Andrew was timely in his communication with us and made our stay flawless. I would highly recommend this property for a large group!

Great location

The sunsets from the deck are absolutely stunning! Stayed with family for a wedding and had plenty of space for everyone. Make sure to bring our own beach towels and blow dryers.

Nice Spot

Cool place. Location is easy walk and fairly direct route to the beach. House size and bedrooms were good. Plenty of room for parking. The wifi signal was intermittent in trying to stream the TV but that could be the island as a whole. Had trouble accessing the separate guest suite but I don't think that is a recurring issue. Had trouble with both main bedroom showers that were broken in addition to the garbage disposal but property manager had them fixed the next day. The grill was not well maintained and would not even start but again the property manager had fixed within a few days.

Family in a beautiful house

The trip was wonderful, the house was the perfect size and the elevator helped with bringing in luggage and groceries. The house needed some deep cleaning, but after contacting the owner, they explained about the Hurricane in the past few weeks. Everyone would like to use the house next year. Thank you for allowing us to use this beautiful house

Great house with minor issues.

Great location great bedrooms great common spaces great porches, but could use some TLC. The garbage disposal did not work. The left side of the kitchen sink did not drain. Same side as garbage disposal. The shower drain in the master bedroom on the second floor drained very very slowly. At least six roaches were encountered on the kitchen floor level. The shower curtain in the shared bathroom on the second level does not reach the top of the tub. It is impossible to shower without making a watery mess. Finally, the shower in the island bedroom has maybe four or five minutes of hot water.

Cleaning

While our family truly enjoyed the Island and the house, it could have had a better cleaning done before we arrived. The air return vent in the main living room was totally disgusting and you could tell had not been cleaned or the filter changed in over a long time. The couches were stained and some of the kitchen utensils were dirty. It is a beautiful house and enjoyable but the owners really need to check that the cleaning people are doing their jobs! Also, might want a new hot water heater as the hot water does not last long!

The property was not as clean as I would have liked and was not as manicured and taken care of as I thought it should have been for this price range. The porches were not cleaned at all between guests, there was trash on the tables and chocolate on the chairs outside.

Wonderful Experience

My family enjoyed this house for the second time, with the first being last year. Our family loves vacationing at Turtle's Cove due to its size, the extra "cottage" and location. Watching the sunset from the balconies are second to none, Our grandkids can enjoy playing on the second floor, or third, with all the space that this house has. No reason for them to be bored! A quick drive or ten minute walk to the beach is a plus. Working with Andrew, our host, has been easy and helpful. Definitely, Turtle's Cove is a place to stay!

Good place to stay that matched our budget. Had a small issue that the property manager took care of within a reasonable time frame. The house is in a good quiet location with plenty of space. The house could use a little tlc but nothing that would turn me away from booking.

Stunning Sunsets

Our stay was incredible and the home met every expectation. 3 floors with ample space allowed for gatherings and alone time. The home was clean and the location was great. The elevator was very handy. We had a few minor service issues that were resolved satisfactorily. Sunsets were simply stunning. Thank you!

Beautiful home

This home was very well built and has beautiful touches throughout. It is very large, clean and well furnished, with plenty of parking. Every single room of this home has direct access to a deck! It was a bit too cool to use the pool, but it was clean. We would absolutely stay here again!

Nice size home that can accommodate a large family but, is in need of a good deep cleaning!

I reserved this beautiful home in hopes of having a great weekend. The property must not have been properly inspected nor cleaned. There is no way the cleaners did not notice the blood stain on the second floor common area chair arm.(left side) There was a blood stain on the blue and white striped bed comforter in the second room bed of the second floor. The second floor bathroom that is shared between two of the guest rooms, between the bunk bed room and the room with the blue and whit comforter, was not cleaned properly. You can see mold on the tiles. The fabric shower curtain was yellow stained with water and dirt and a visible blood stain on it, as well. This poses an infection control issue. Upon checking in, two metal broken door stops at the top of two of the guest room doors. The pool was filthy so we were unable to swim in it. Why even advertise it if you’re not going to clean it. That’s the main reason we booked this property.. The patio furniture chairs were very nasty, need a pressure wash and weren’t set up properly on the top or the second level patio. The check in was super easy. We had to clean the property before getting somewhat comfortable. Which took time and extra money. The top level couches were both filthy. We had to cover them with sheets to sit on them. I had videos and pictures to prove all of these claims. I will not book this property again. I should be refunded my cleaning fee at the very least.

Too good to be true

Other than the elevator and garbage disposal not working, the house was nice. It was big enough for our group of 16. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious. Weather was a little too chilly to enjoy the pool as it’s not heated, but some of the kids braved it for a few minutes. Was even too cold for them. All in all, the house was comfortable and not too far from town and the beach. We enjoyed ourselves.

St George Island Vacay

Visited St George Island for the first time. Had a wonderful time! Everyone we met was friendly and we adored the area. Enjoyed the casual atomsphere at all the restaurants. Home on the bayside was wonderful! The view was gorgeous! Layout of the house was perfect for when our family visited us for a week. Porches and porch with firepit made for relaxing evenings. Elevator was wonderderful because my husband had knee replacement shortly before our trip. Overall everything was great-home, island and restaurants.

Family Holiday

We rented Turtle's Cove for our family's Christmas at the beach. The house is lovely with a ton of space for everyone. The elevator came in handy for unloading all of our stuff. Total of ive good size bedrooms. Our daughter's family of four were very comfortable in the bonus detached bedroom. The outdoor space is awesome too! Several porches ( one screened), an outdoor shower, very nice pool/patio (although we did not use it since it was pretty cold the week we were there). We spent a lot of time by the fire pit. Our dogs loved the fenced in area. Sunsets on the bay were gorgeous! The Gulf is not far but we did rent a golf cart to make it easier to transport little ones and beach gear. We cooked every day in the well equipped kitchen. The house was great for our large family.

Nice but dirty

Very nice property and location but it was very dirty at check-in. The beds were made but it appeared as if the floors and counters had been skipped. There was a film on top of all surfaces. There were also several roaches. No checkout instructions were posted or received via email. When I emailed asking for checkout instructions, I did not receive a response.
