Las Terrenas is a tourist city on the Samaná peninsula, in the northeastern part of the Dominican Republic. It is known for the central beach Las Terrenas. Other beaches are Bonita, Cosón and Las Ballenas. The cays off the coast have underwater caverns, such as the Dudu cave. The Pueblo de los Pescadores strip, close to the sea, is lined with bars and restaurants, many of which have outdoor seating.
