Propriété située sur la belle plage de Aroa, coucher de soleil côté ouest de Rarotonga (sur le côté sous le vent de l'île). Avec tout piscine de marée et la plongée fantastique à votre porte. Belle plage de sable blanc, plage sécuritaire à quelques pas de la maison. Magnifique lagon bleu clair, bordée de vagues déferlant sur récif éloigné.

Maison est entièrement autonome avec réfrigérateur congélateur, ainsi que machine à laver le linge. Sèche-cheveux, serviettes de bain et serviettes de plage. Douche extérieure, supplémentaire à 1. 5 salles de bains à l'intérieur. Toutes les fenêtres et les portes entièrement blindé.

Pour les séjours de plus de 7 nuits, un changement de linge et de nettoyage sera organisé à un moment opportun.

Grand dépanneur à 500 mètres à pied, ouvert 7 jours sur 7. Plus grands supermarchés / supermarchés à 15 minutes en voiture.

Enjoyed our stayed loved the access to the beach at the backyard kids enjoyed it and the kayak was amazing . Shipwrecked NXT door which was fine. No free wifi had to buy a hot pass but we ended up using our data also not much on the telly but apart from that. Really loved being near the beach it's beautiful

We loved it

The lagoon is right there and it’s so so beautiful we went snorkeling every day and loved it, will definitely be back. The bar next door does have some regular fairly loud music in the evenings but it doesn’t run late. Totally worth it.

We had a great stay - location to beach was perfrct for our kids who spent everyday snorkelling and who rated the fish diversity as the best. Large kitchen was perfect, sleeping at night with the fans and mosquito screens was awesome! Bonus was definitely the huge mango tree, star fruit and passionfruit vines!

Great location on best snorkelling beach

We had a great time in this lovely spacious house. Plenty of room, large kitchen. The beach is on the back yard - amazing views and sunsets. Safe for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking. Comfortable beds. Great to have a washing machine and plenty of clothes line to dry things. Handy to have a restaurant next door for when you don’t want to cook. We would definitely come again! Thank you.

Aroa Beach Paradise

I’ve stayed in many holiday homes across the years we’ve been coming to Rarotonga; from the higher priced end of the market to budget friendly options and this place tops them all. That is to say it has more of what we look for including spotlessly clean, comfortable, good sized shower, lots of room both inside and out, perfectly positioned beachfront great for swimming, private, close to amenities with a car and even without. One full bathroom and an extra toilet…convenient! Right next door to Shipwreck bar and restaurant for well priced, great food and cocktails. Kitchen large and well stocked for home cooking. Jan was always at hand both pre, during and post booking with quick, helpful communication. The local fruit left for us was much appreciated and delicious. Aroa Beachfront is an original local home, built for island family living. Not flash, but perfectly suited to those looking for somewhere to sink into the rhythm of island life and spread out a bit. We look forward to our return. Meitaki maata.

Needs immediate attention

My husband and i stayed here for 8 nights thinking it was a quiet spot, after getting over the fact the placce was filthy, smelt moldy , the bedding was okd and dirty, there was a previous guests under ware still under beds. We shared this villa with cockroaches and geckos. ants were coming iut of tge shiwer mixer handle, The local bar us literally right next door, we had to tell there customers the the garden was seperate and private as they sat themselves down on the picnic benches in the garden. The resident chickens were ok except for the rooster sqwarking at 3.30am ,4 30am 5.30am then every 15 minutes, so we had no sleep, there was also several wasps nests on the side of the property so never had window's open, We had no cleaners come through out our stay which was 8 days. This place ruined our first holiday in 6 years. If your looking for a clean and quiet place to stay, then go somewhere else,.

I am sorry the house was not up to your expectations. The house is professionally cleaned between guests with fresh clean white linen on all beds. It is a private house rental, therefore is not serviced on a day to day basis as per the description on the booking website. There can be the odd dead bugs found as it is commercially sprayed. It is however, fully screened, thereby enabling the windows to be open at all times. The property next door closes it’s restaurant at 9pm.

We spent nearly a month at this wonderful property, and enjoyed it tremendously. We were so sad to leave. The beach really is at the end of the lawn, and it really is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. What a wonderful treat to be able to stroll across the lawn to the beach and into the warm south Pacific ocean to snorkel among the incredible tropical fish. The house is perfect for a family, but as a retired couple we found it suited us just fine. A huge kitchen, dining room with a big table, and a very nice living room. The bedroom with a king and single bed was comfortable, and we could look out the window in the morning to view the ocean. The side by side bathrooms, one full and one-half, were all we needed. The immense covered patio with many chairs, lounges, sofas and even a day bed, table to eat at, and a grill - really, what more could we want. Two picnic tables on the lawn, and three chairs overlooking the beach, under the palm trees. Vaine and Oki were wonderful and friendly hosts. They brought us fruit, fixed small problems like squeaky doors, and otherwise respected our privacy. Janice was very helpful, promptly responding to questions, and arranging our shuttles from and to the airport. Finally, our favourite beach bar in the world, the Shipwreck Hut, was right next door. We enjoyed strolling over there for a drink or meal. They have live music most days, but it ends around nine pm when the bar closes. Do we recommend this property? Absolutely.

Warm and Friendly Rarotonga

The home was as described and fit our needs perfectly. We loved the West side of Rarotonga. It is a beautiful area. The Shipwreck Hut next and all the people who work there are wonderful. Jan was very helpful with advice and accommodating of our special requests. Landowners Oki and Vaine were exceptionally kind. We highly recommend this property! Kia Orana and Maitaki Mata!

Just what we wanted

The description and pictures capture the property, amenities and location perfectly. We loved the place and would/will go back again. We/I just arrived home a few hours ago after spending 12 days/nights and can state that my wife, daughter and I have no criticisms, constructive or otherwise to render. If you do go, please understand it is not a resort. There are friendly locals living around you. There will be a friendly dog or three transiting the beach. There will be free range chickens, including roosters. Roosters do their thing. There may also be a gecko having a look about the place. Embrace it, it's all part of the beautiful mosaic of being in Rarotonga. More specifically as to the house: the kitchen has everything you need, the main bath has two sinks, the shower is good with plenty of hot water. The ceiling fans keep the temp comfortable. The verandah pictured in the listing faces the beach and has water views. The washer works and because of the trade winds, clothes dry thoroughly on the line. The backyard shower is perfect to rinse the salt and sand off after a swim or snorkel. Bring reef shoes for walking, swimming and snorkeling. Great spot.

Great Holiday but......

This property was more than enough for two people and was clean and centrally located on the west coast of the Island. The sunsets were beautiful when if wasn’t cloudy or raining. We were a little disappointed in the furniture, however. The two love seats in the living room were very uncomfortable to sit in as they had bars that ran through the seats so it was difficult to find a comfortable area to sit. The bed in the master bedroom was very low and the mattress and pillow quite hard for our taste. The toilet seat in the second bathroom was broken and the owner, when contacted, had to replace it. After it was replaced it didn’t seem to be centred on the toilet bowl and kept sliding sideways off centre a bit. Insects and small reptiles such as geckos are common around the property and occasionally made their way indoors despite every window and door being screened. There were tiny red ants that were particularly annoying in that their bite was quite painful.

Thank you for your review. This helps us to look into the points you have raised and address these. Unfortunately, when residing in the tropics geckos are a part of everyday life. Whilst every effort is made to keep them outside, they can enter via the tiniest gap. On the plus side, they enjoy the highest point in the rafters and keep spiders and mosquitos at bay. The red ants can be found around the bases of trees and can be eradicated by insecticide. We aren’t aware of any nests and have asked the writer of the above review, where he encountered them - were they on our property or nearby? I have not heard back from him.

Location, location, location.

Excellent position right on the beach in very quiet area on the western side of the island. Comfortable and very spacious accommodation with eferything you may need. Friendly local beach dogs who visit regularly. Highly recommend this property for a great relaxing break on beautiful Rarotonga. Already planning next years visit. Well done Janice

Great house on the beach

The Wife and I just spent the last three weeks at the beach front home. It was everything we look for in a vacation rental. Quiet, well equipped and right on the water. Just what we needed. The bus stop is right in front of the house. Store right up the road. Perfect

I am originally from New Zealand but lived in the main, 15 years in Rarotonga. My home town in NZ is in the country and I have found Rarotonga very much like this. The pace of life is relaxed, we drive at max 50 kph. The people are very friendly, I feel it an honour to live in the Cook Islands. I have always had holiday homes in NZ on the ocean. Living in Rarotonga and owning this beach front property is like being on 'holiday' all year round.
