River & Roots: Family cabin with private riverfront

Come relax in our tranquil log cabin situated on 5 acres with over 1000 ft of private Rio Grande riverfront access. Sit on the front porch swing and start the day with the rising sun, awarm cup of coffee, and some hummingbirds buzzing about. Spend the afternoon wading through the river and tossing out a line. Maybe an evening spent in front of a toasty fire with a beverage in your hand. Or perhaps you choose to spend the day hiking a nearby 14er, or shredding some pow at Wolf Creek, or ripping a rzr to Wheeler Geologic Area. Or even just a day in town to shop, eat, and catch a show at the acclaimed Creede Repertory Theatre.However you choose to spend your time in the Creede area, this house is the perfect place to unwind and recharge.
Our family friendly cabin has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, with beds for up to 12 people (and plenty of room for air mattresses for more). A well equipped kitchen and an outdoor gas grill will ensure that everyone can eat what they want (provided you bring someone with the skills to make it). And we've got plenty of activities to keep you engaged if you're just kicking around the cabin. From Ping Pong and Darts, to board games and puzzles, to corn hole and spikeball, we've got a bit of something for everyone. Sprinkle all that in with our amazing location providing close and convenient access to town and world class outdoor recreation (hiking, fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling, skiing/snowboarding, snowmobiling, and more), and you've got the perfect place!

Great riverfront property!

This cabin was perfect for our family trip. There was plenty of space, the views from every room was amazing, and it had all of the amenities that we needed. Would stay again!

Mountain paradise!

Our family had the best week at River & Roots! The cabin is situated right near the river with access to a wonderful area to hang out. The rooms were perfect and fit all of us. The kids loved the extra space and bunk beds. I personally loved that the showers were always piping hot and plenty of towels. We were located close to all of our favorite hangouts and great fishing spots. We highly recommend this property and hope to return!

Book it! You won’t regret it!

We are vacation rental owners since 1994. We know a good spot when we see one. You will be so pleased! The most important thing to get right is a comfy bed. After years of staying at a nearby resort, we opted to chance finding better beds. (I have back issues.) We slept like angels with the sound of the river outside our window and the cool breezes wafting in. The bed was so comfortable, good soft linens, plugs of every type so you can plug in CPAP or phone without competing for outlets. I’d forgotten to buy a book to read but found two books so interesting that I finished both! Puzzles, games, ping pong, etc! We barely left the cabin except to fish! There was a magical little riverside space to have a fire, watch the water and read. Even seating down there! I read on the porch in a swing, while cool breezes wafted over me and the wildflowers popped open—seemingly before my eyes! We will definitely be back and hope to still be able to book the spot, though I am certain it will grow more and more difficult to get in, as folks discover it. They even had laundry access so when we came in sweaty and stinky, we could immediately clean the offensive attire. Every single little good thing you could think of as home, you will find here. My only tip: bring binoculars bc there are gorgeous mountains from the porch to view, and I’m just sure I could’ve spotted a bear or deer if I remembered mine! You will never want to leave!

Was just what we needed. 3 couples. We were all family. Right in the middle of Creede where we neede

This place was awesome, beautiful and very clean. Was in the perfect location. Close to the town of Creede but just far enough out to feel more secluded and enjoyed hearing and seeing the Rio Grand River flowing straight down from the house. Was so relaxing with plenty of parking with 3 vehicles with trailers and UTV’s. Look forward to returning in the future! The owners were so nice and answered all questions we had via email.

This is a great location right on the Rio Grande. Beautiful views and awesome neighborhood. The house was very dirty and could use some extra housekeeping attention. The lights in the kitchen didn’t work, there were dead bugs everywhere, the bath mats and bath towels need a refresh as they are all grimy. Highly recommend a property management company that other houses in the neighborhood use!
