Great boutique hotel right on the water, we could hear the waves crashing all night and saw monkeys and sloths in the trees throughout our stay. Recommend a rental car to get around but not required. Plan on recommending to friends and family!

I would not hesitate to book the hotel again when in Quepos. The service on site and beach service was outstanding. Everyone throughout each day was very helpful, communicative, friendly, and spoke English well enough to easily communicate - and they assisted me with my terrible Spanish. The wildlife onsite and nearby was amazing and plentiful. The beach was well kept and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. Walking to dine in the evenings via the beach was easy. It was great to have towels for the beach provided.My only suggestions for the property are to add wall hooks for the rooms for you damp beach items and WiFi improvements. However, getting an eSIM is highly recommended. Mucho gracias Buena Vista!!

Truly ocean front with great beach access. Good onsite restaurant right on the beach with attentive wait staff. Poor WiFi at the hotel but restaurant seemed to work better. Beach was very nice and not as crowded as nearer the park. Easy to get pickups to excursions. Staff will help with arrangements and sometimes get better prices. Would definitely stay again.

We felt immediately welcomed by Steven and Anna at the check in process, and communication up to that point had been fantastic. We loved this quaint, little, boutique hotel on the beach and all that it offered. Our deck had an amazing view, breakfast being included was a huge plus, and access to beach chairs and umbrella were ideal. If you enjoy beach walking, this was a perfect spot. The location also allowed us to be able to walk to Manuel Antonio National Park, avoiding the hassles of parking.

We got a little lost trying to find the place initially. If you see the hotel with the igloos, then Buena Vistas dirt drive is left of those igloos. However, other than that mild snafu, this was a great stay! AC was very cold. Saw some agouti as well as some monkeys in the adjacent woods but no issues with the monkey mafia lol! All employees were kind and helpful (from the front desk staff, the beach staff, the restaurant crew, etc). They washed, dried, and returned clothes to the room for a very low price. Very helpful in coordinating tours. The hotels cat (Moo-shoo) was an all star. Restaurants food was great! Bed was comfy. Room was a little small but welcome to Costa Rica. Shower temp would vary while in taking a shower but no biggie. Can't flush toilet paper... gotta put it in the trash. Beach was perfect and easy to access. Be prepared for folks wanting to sell you goods on the beach. My wife got a foot massage from a local right on the beach. Whole place felt very safe. They lock you in after nine, so you better be within the complex by then. Most employees also spoke English. They referred us to some local restaurants for evening meals... and assisted in a slight discount there also. Would not hesitate to stay at this awesome little boutique hotel in the future.

Everything about Buena Vista was perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is perfect on the beach. We were fortunate to have monkeys travelling across the property and macaws landing in a tree near by. (And the resident cat is laid back and adorable). We would definitely stay again.
