MEILLEURE VALEUR pour quelque chose de vraiment sympa à PLAYA GRANDE. Notre maison de style Costa Rica entièrement meublée offre une escapade merveilleuse et relaxante dans une communauté de plage privée, fermée, pittoresque et décontractée, séparée de la congestion de Tamarindo. Il se trouve à 5 minutes à pied d'une belle plage de surf immaculée, de plusieurs excellents restaurants, bars, location de planches de surf, location de chaises de plage et d'une épicerie. Toit en tuiles, planchers et comptoirs partout. Détendez-vous sur le patio couvert où les iguanes et les oiseaux colorés se perchent et peuvent être cajolés pour manger de votre main (si vous êtes assez patient). Les singes fréquentent souvent nos arbres. Aussi, à distance de marche, un bel estuaire offre la pêche, la navigation de plaisance et propose un bateau-taxi (5 minutes en bateau jusqu'à Tamarindo pour manger, danser, jouer, faire du shopping et se souvenir). Vous pouvez également choisir de marcher jusqu'à Tamarindo via la plage (possible uniquement à marée très basse). Vanités doubles dans la salle de bain. Service de ménage 1 x par semaine. SUPERBE PLAGE !!!!! Casa Mambo est assez proche de la plage pour entendre les vagues se briser quand elles sont grandes! C'est une promenade facile et courte à la plage de la maison. L'architecture et les aménagements de la Casa Mambo reflètent le style et la culture de la région et de ses habitants.

The pool was amazing! So lovely in the shade after a day of sun. The house was perfect for our family and we were so happy that we chose to stay in Playa Grande over the overly touristic Tamarindo!

Oasis

This was our second time staying here. We love the location, only a short walk to the beach and to restaurants. We enjoyed the peacefulness. Great surfing. Lots of options for other explorations nearby. Some comfortable lounge chairs would be nice outside, and a few more things in the kitchen would be nice, but otherwise, we loved our stay.

Casa Mambo

Casa Mambo is great. It is located close to good restaurants and a short walk to the beach. The pool (shared with 6 units) is lovely and quite private. Shawna the property manager is excellent and very responsive. Relative to other units Casa Mambo would benefit from more comfy outdoor furniture but overall we'd recommend it and would visit again.

Tranquila en Casa Mambo

This property is lovely and fully equipped with all you need for a quiet and relaxing stay in Playa Grande. The location is great. There is a small mini-mercado around the corner for basics and several nearby restaurants that offer traditional casado menu selections. The long stretch of beautiful beach is about a 10 minute walk from the property, perfect for a day on the sand and/or beautiful sunset. Our host, Shawna, was attentive and accommodating. We look forward a future stay at Palm Beach Estates during our next trip to Playa Grande.

Great Place!

What a great place! This casa was just what we, three retired educators, needed to have fun, relax,and tour CR. From the fully equipped kitchen to the relaxing patio, we found this house to have everything we needed for our week stay. We enjoyed the closeness to Tamarinwodo for shopping and the ability to return to the quiet way of life that Casa Mambo provided. If we return to the country, we will certainly stay here again!

Wonderful Vacation Get-Away!

What a wonderful vacation get-away! There was 4 of us, 2 couples, and we had more than enough room and we just loved our stay. In addition to all the wonderful amenities nearby, such as the swimming pool, awesome restaurants, and beach!, we just loved the peace and tranquility of this unique and homey bundgalow in the forest. We saw lots of wildlife and the local residents were so hospitable. We definitely will return. Thanks for the great vacation!

A perfect location

We enjoyed the location very much, a five minute walk to the beautiful Playa Grande, to 4 different restaurants all good and to a local shop and surfboard rentals. Shawna was very helpful preparing us ahead of time with all the area had to offer as well as once we got there helping to organize. The casa was as described, having everything we needed/wanted. A private space, the pool which we shared with our neighbours but was never busy. We hope to return!

Loved Casa Mambo!!

We completely enjoyed our stay at Casa Mambo. The house was clean and welcoming. There is a gas grill there now so no need to pick up charcoal. We were 4 people in our mid to upper 60's. The walk to the beach was a little longer than expected so we took the car and had no problem parking at all. The pool was clean, wonderful as well as resfreshing in the morning, after the beach in the evening. The people were very friendly. Shawna was responsive and friendly. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Casitas near an amazing beach/national park

The beach is easy to find and at 7 min walk. We went further on the beach with a 4 minutes drives. The beach is amazing. Natural, almost no one! The casitas si safe ans is child proof. We loved the pool while the little one was doing her nap. The AC in the room work well and the beds are big and confy. The communication with the manager could be quicker, but the aswer were helpfull. We used a pin that they gave us and waze and we found our way to the house without problem. I Recommand

Can't wait to return!!!

We took our children, ages 8 & 11, and created memories of a lifetime. The villa is beautiful and in the PERFECT location. We walked to the beach every day for surfing & boogie boarding, took a sailing trip to a private beach, went ziplining, walked to restaurants, cooked a few of our own meals and took in the sights and sounds of Costa Rica. Monkeys and iguanas were everywhere! The shelling is fantastic. There were literally thousands of live sand dollars on the beach. We love the teakwood cabinets throughout the villa. They're beautiful! Thank you for your attention to detail and for introducing us to a beautiful country, and a truly awesome place to stay. We will definitely be booking another trip soon!

Time to lay back and relax

We had grand plans of taking day trips outside of Playa Grande but once we got to Casa Mambo we didn't want to leave. Partly because it is much harder to get around then we expected but more so because after only a few hours we knew there was no need to go anywhere. We loved meeting the other families staying in the nearby homes and since we all had children the pool became a social gathering and made sone great new friends from all over the world. Alyssa is available to help plan anything you may need or answer any questions. There is a great little grocery store just a few steps away along with two restaurants. More restaurants are only a short drive away. Rip Jack Inn has outdoor yoga. That became a daily must for me and if you want you can walk there from the beach about a 20 minute walk. They also have a delicious all day menu. I wish I was back there now.

Timid Travelers Delighted

Wow! Casa Mambo was absolutely perfect for us! We 3 ladies from Texas thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay. The property is very clean and well maintained and is within a gated community. We never felt uncomfortable about walking anywhere. The casa is absolutely beautiful and the amenities were wonderful! Everything we needed was close at hand. We spent each morning on the lovely covered patio drinking our coffee and watching the iguanas take their morning stroll. The beautiful beach is an easy walk as are great places to eat and enjoy the scenery and/or your favorite tropical drink. Bulla Bulla, a local restaurant and bar was quite lively every evening and there are few other smaller eating establishments also available. There is also a water taxi within walking distance and for a small fee will take you across the river to the small town for shopping. The property manager was also a great help to us in finding the right tours for us and for making arrangements for transportation to and from the airport Thanks, Hank, for sharing your beautiful casa with us!

Quiet beach community

We loved our stay in Palm Beach Estates. The quaint community is a perfect getaway for relaxation and surfing. Casa Mambo is about a quarter mile walk to the beach. Along the way, you will come across 3 different awesome restaurants and a mini mart. The mini mart has very basic things. If you want groceries, there are a few supermarkets (not very good ones) about 20 min away. Or you can drive to Tamarindo (40 min) or take backpacks and bags across the water taxi and load them up. There are 2 places to rent surf and boogie boards on your walk towards the beach. Casa Mambo was lovely and Shawna the property manager is easy to work with. The community pool is nice too. Just beware, the living area/kitchen does not have air conditioning. The bedrooms do have AC though. Trying to cook or hang out in the sweltering heat can be challenging. The beds were a bit hard and the pillows were not great. There are a few rusty beach chairs available for use, but it would be nice if there was maybe a beach cooler and some boogie boards offered as well.All in all we really enjoyed our stay!

Home away from home!!!

Wow. What a great place. We were thinking of going to Mexico, but after hearing of the travel warnings, we looked into Costa Rica, since many of our friends have been lately and loved it. We were looking for a place to totally relax, away from the hustle and bustle and we found it! From the minute we arrived, we were in true vacation mode. The house is great (very clean and lots of natural light) and had everything we needed. We felt like we were at home. Each morning we ate at the market near your place on our way to the beach (which is a really short walk), rented surfboards/boogie boards from Jerry (so nice!) and then to the beach. The beach, shells and waves were fantastic. We saw lots of monkeys, iguanas and some really cool birds. The kids loved hanging out at the swimming pool in the evening (which was literally a few steps from the patio), and walking to Hotel Bula Bula for some of the tasty (and STRONG) Waltinis. Everyone is so nice around there and made us feel so welcome. Love all of the teak wood throughout the house. You guys did a great job on the place. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you so much for making the rental process so easy too!!! We highly recommend to others!

Great cottage

Wonderful clean cottage, great location in palm beach, nice community pool, thoughtful amenities at the unit like a bike, Shawna the prop Mgr was super helpful. Would recommend and stay there again .

Be Still My Heart!

I have been going to Costa Rica for a number of years and have stayed at Casa Mambo a number of times. I do not go to sightsee, but to rest and get away from the hustle bustle of the culture in the US. This house is located on the perfect beach for taking long walks during low tide. I enjoy the quiet nature of the beach here that also allows for easy access to Tamarindo where the food choices are amazing. For me good food and good rest are the perfect vacation! I will be back!

Great spot

Had a great stay with our family. Kids loved the pool. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and the house is really comfortable and equipped. A really peaceful area of Playa Grande. Very quiet, quick walk to the beach and various restaurants short walk away. Communication was great with property manager. Thanks for the great stay and willl look to be back.

Great spot/good location/awesome beach

The casita is perfect, we were three adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. There were a few amenities that were missing that would have been much appreciated. More than 1 stool around the bar, a second bicycle, some patio chairs, a BBQ and maybe an extra pillow or 2. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans etc. and the pool and surrounding area are lovely. All in all we loved the Casita and would definitely come back. Thank you!

Perfect Getaway Vacation

This trip for us was just amazing. We have been to Palm Beach Estates many times and this was just one more fantastic trip again. Our property manager Shawna was awesome to work with answered all our question and concerns when we had any. The beach access walking distance ,nice local store for supplies. Just a layed back stay with sunsets on the beach every night. If your looking for heaven we found it. Highly Highly recommend! Pura Vida

My Dad and me. I have been going to Costa Rica at least once a year since 1987 and continue to have a great love for this country and its people! Always look forward to my next trip to Playa Grande. My parents also love Playa Grande and stay at the house for a full month each year with many friends and family joining them periodically. We all cant wait to come back each year.
