We loved this beautiful cottage, where you felt a part of nature yet close to any conveniences you might need. It was spotlessly clean, and the host was accessible and helpful in providing local suggestions. We had a great time. Highly recommend!

This place was incredible!!! No design detail was overlooked. Natural stone annd magnificent views inside and out, peace and privacy, high quality appliances and furnishings, and the warm welcome gifts and note all contributed to a wonderful stay. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous respite

Needing a much overdue getaway, we found this gem and can’t say enough positive things! Beautiful architecture….perfect setting…gracious hosts! We hope to come back in fall or winter to spend more time here.

The cottage was amazing. It is a bit hard to find using navigation, it stops on the hi-way and doesn’t identify the off road path to the cottage. Only missed entrance once, then it made sense. The Frank Lloyd Wright architecture is beautiful, as are all the furnishings and features. Will definitely consider a return visit, maybe in the winter.

Serene hospitality

Our third stay in six months reveals our pleasure in this serene getaway. The O’Donnells have created an ideal retreat for two. They are responsive and generous hosts.

Absolutely amazing

This place is a 10 of 10 for sure! It is quiet and cozy and so thoughtfully well stocked and clean and prepared. Can’t say enough about it except we can’t wait to go back!

Rarely do I give a perfect rating but this one is it. The cottage is incredible. Situated on a quiet hilltop overlooking the valley below you are in a world by yourself. The cottage is true to the FLW inspiration down to the tiny details. Joe and Kelly were fabulous hosts and have outfitted the property with top notch furnishings. It’s close enough to Dubuque and Galena to make easy trips to sight see but isolated enough to disappear and reset. If you are looking for a quiet getaway to reset and reconnect this is it!

This is a unique property that fulfills its implied promise of a wonderful architectural experience in a quiet countryside setting with an expansive ridge top view. We thoroughly enjoyed discovering all the site and building had to offer.

Romantic getaway

We booked this for our anniversary getaway. There is no detail left undone, it is such a peaceful and relaxing oasis. There are many good places to eat and explore a short drive from the cottage. We are thankful and blessed to have found this treasure. We will definitely be back!

Stunning Cabin

This was an incredible property, so much care went into every detail of the cabin. My husband and I found the time we spent in this hilltop retreat both inspiring and relaxing. Great place to work through creative ideas and reconnect. Thanks Joe and Kelly!
